You made a mistake. There are no bullets in GTA 5. It works with hitscan. And "pyrerealm gaming" made a video just Like this a month ago and yes you can shoot Much further than that. He was standing on top of the maze bank tower and shot someone at los santos customs by the LSIA.
I remember when GTA online first came out, I got sniped by somebody that was way on top of the construction building and I was on the hospital helipad. I died and wasn't even mad, was really impressed

You don't need to see em with the scope. If they are outside the game's draw distance they can still be shot. In online you can shoot a player from infinite range

l Yamikani l single player has a lot more realistic physics and properties. online the opponent won't render at a certain distance (bc they try to keep the amount of data that needs to be sent to you and back to the rockstar servers as low as possible) but his hit box is still there so if you can guess where he is you can still kill him half across the map. his car almost always renders so it's even easier when he's driving you just aim at the driver side.

Most high power rifle bullets fly around 800m/sec, so that would be 2 seconds, but that is only theory as the bullet is decelerating significantly because of the drag after it left the barrel. I've never seen so many uninformed people trying to help one person lol You can select a higher resolution than (let's say) 1080P, even if that is the native resolution of your monitor. The higher bitrate will allow you to profit from watching a 4K video on a 1080P screen. And about the 1440P50...probably processing.

Even though its an arcade type of game, I'd at least like to see some bullet drop. It doesn't even have to be realistic bullet drop, just enough that if you're at a ridiculous distance that it takes a little bit of planning to hit your target.
Bullet drop on a sniper? You do know a sniper bullet is able to travel quite the distance so I don't see a problem. Unless you're also willing to add the pressure of the wind?

So if the BC of the bullet is high it should have good energy and speed retention, it should hit in about 0.93 sec. And the energy at the muzzle is around 17952 joules. So in conclusion the terminal ballistics and rifle harmonics and not to mention the weight of the rifle would make it hard to make that shot standing. But its a game what do i expect.
