- Having returned from a holiday in Majorca, I was inspired to write some music with a Latin rhythmic feel of the area. The hotel that I stayed at, The Hotel Atolon has got to be one of the best places I have ever stayed. The staff were really friendly, the food was out of this world and the area surrounding I just fell in love with.
The tune itself, I tried to capture a Spanish flavour for it with latin percussion, acoustic guitars and brass etc. It took me just over a day to put it all together. I originally wrote it for this video. (I hope they like it lol!)
The hotel is located in the promenade of Cala Bona, in the bay of Cala Millor, one of the main touristic destinations in the island of Mallorca.
From the hotel you will be able to enjoy the incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea, where you will see amazing dawns and sunsets.

The Area
Cala Bona was an old port, a refuge for the fishermen. Atolon hotel is located at the promenade of Cala Bona, near the fishing port where you will be able to taste the best fish of the area in any of its restaurants.
Due to the urban development, caused by the tourism boom, the appearance of the area has changed, linking Cala Bona with Cala Millor. Nowadays, there’s a pedestrian street that goes from Cala Bona to Cala Millor. Cala Bona and Cala Millor have good quality and developed touristic facilities. You will find restaurants, discos, different kind of shops, markets…
The beach of Cala Bona, at the bay of Cala Millor, has the blue flag, certification which is given by the NGO called ADEAC(Association of environmental and consumer education). Cala Millor is located at the east coast of Mallorca, a place where you can practise many sports or simply rest and relax near the sea.
The beach of Cala Millor is 2 Km long and has all the facilities for the tourist, for that reason it gets the European Community blue flag award year after year.
Things to do in Cala Millor:
Boat trips. At the wharf of Cala Millor there are some little glass bottom boats. From there you can have a beautiful view of the seabed. A nice experience for those who are afraid to dive.
For children: apart from the boat trips there’s a safari park in Sa Coma where you will find some wild and non-wild animals. Your children will also enjoy at the nearby caves in Artà and El Drac.
Adventure tourism: you will be able to make some beautiful excursions at the natural reserve of Punta de’n Amer.
If you want to go shopping you can visit the local market located every Friday in Son Servera. You can also find all kind of shops in Artà and Manacor.

I'm here right now as I'm watching this , it's amazing came here when I was 7 and it was not referbished then but Pedro was there and he still remembers us and remembered our orders
Millie Toft OMG, I'm just back from the Atolon for maybe the 5th or 6th year now and the hotel is beautiful now, Pedro is still singing his wee songs and Rebecca at reception remembered us from the last few years, they're all so nice to you ❤️

stayed here 4 years ago, has to be the worst hotel we ever had the misfortune to book, crap food, disgraceful waiter taking the mick out of disabled guests behind their back, cobwebs hanging from light fittings in public areas.I can only assume from your comments that things have changed
Hi Techno, sorry to hear about your experience, but from what I can make out and from what a few locals spoke about, the Hotel closed down and was virtually rebuilt from the ground up. The place in my experience is exceptionally clean, staff and waiters were friendly and professional. I think if you returned, you would be going back to a different hotel. Thanks for watching.
