Readability has definitely improved. I played a couple matches today (one of which was in the breakaway rework btw) and I can say, I felt a greater sense of comradery and teammates moving closer to one another. I enjoyed the feeling of being pressed to switch specialists depending on the situation our squad was trying to handle (of course, some may not be a fan of that) as it hearkens back to the older BF titles.
@@OPTIMUMELITE I'm sorry but this exactly is what battlefield has been for the longest of time. Players were never meant to have solutions for all kinds of problems. They were always encouraged to 1: either take a specific role and keep playing it around specific problems (aka think of someone who kept playing as assault in BF4, even in a vehicle heavy map like Silk Road, which meant they had to avoid certain areas or actions to remain functional or effective in combat) or 2: show flexibility to the problem by changing classes depending on the needs of the team (for example think of a BF1 assault player who repeatedly gets sniped in Ballroom Blitz, so he changes to recon and decides to fight off the enemy snipers for a bit) This here, is exactly what has been going on in all other older BF titles all the time, all the way back to BF2 and 1942.
@Saeed Azizi the only issue with classes in previous games was attrition in bfv. Playing assault on panzerstorm means you spend more time finding health or ammo than killing infantry or tanks. That being said, when the map launched, both the medic and support had no anti tank capabilities. The recon at least had the advantage over the medic against infantry. However, the medic really could only play around the C,D, and E flags, but a tank could still roll up to any of those objectives at any time so few people picked the medic even though he has unlimited health. Attrition was and still is a horrible mechanic. I know they increased the amount of ammo you spawn with so that you're only down one mag from being full and brought back taking health and ammo off soldiers from crates, but both ammo and health attrition could've been improved without bringing back passive regen. For health attrition, they could've had non medics drop 50 health and medics drop 100 health when they die (balancing medics having unlimited health). At the very least, they could've allowed a successful squad revive to resupply the one health pack other classes get (if you complete a squad revive, you receive a full magazine). For ammo, they simply should've let us spawn with full ammo and gadgets. Even the support (with the exception of the lunge mine and light AT mine) still has to resupply himself when he spawns. Sorry for the long rant, but in the case of all other bf titles, you're correct.
Honestly, they're almost completely different games at this point. The map reworks REALLY improved this game. All the bullshit aside, if the maps at launch were like how they are now this game wouldn't have gotten nearly as bad a rap.
I have played every battlefield and i DO think the class system in it's multiple variations is a fundamental part of the battlefield experience. It provides and incentivizes team play without forcing it too much. I love that any weapon can be used by any class just certain ones are slightly encouraged. Lots of freedom while still rewarding a specific gameplay style that the players can choose to adhere to. Very nice choice! I like it! :) I got over 100 assists with the new TUGS today. (first day of the update) :D hahaha
After having played some maps, I think it's a completely different game. More tactical, not so hectic and chaotic anymore. More like the old battlefields for sure!
Yeah. I think they'll get it right. When it comes down to it. The game needs to be what it always has and less of what Battlefield isnt. They can add stuff but keep classes and squad play. Then add stuff. There are features from prior titles that I wish would return, like Squad,Commanders,Battle Pickups, we can get things like special weapons and experimental stuff and miniguns. I would like if they could bring suppression back, I think something similar to portal should return. Basically custom games. Not just presets to choose but being able to place vehicles props and essentially edit the level. I also wouldn't mind things other than tornadoes on every map. I could see flooding on certain city maps, Earthquakes that shift objectives around on certain maps, Volcanic eruptions that Rain debris on a certain map and I want to be able to drag my teammates to cover. The game should ultimately become more tactical. The environments should be made with that in mind as well and we should get increased destruction in the playable areas of the map and that goes for all the maps. Every wall, every building,Windows. I know it's possible, to have chunks of buildings collapsing in game and pieces falling on nearby player because we had it in BF3. The Final thing I want from the next title, is a Dark and realistic setting, even if its in after 2042., the soldiers should reflect this. The Specialist in 2042 even with there different outfits look cheap and silly. The soldiers in the next game should feel like how actual soldier would feel about a literal WW4. "It's not a game a fun carefree game but its a game like BF1 that displays tragedy and hardship on all fronts". Okay that's all. Hope it's good next time. Battlefield 6. 2024-2025
Great. Glad they updated out the few things I actually thought were fun. All to appeal to the retards that dropped the game a year ago and will pick it up for 2 games and never come back again.

Just got off and played a few solo matches to see how it felt and it feels... Not marginal but didn't impact how I played. Then again, I actively chose weapons I liked and paired Specialists with gadgets that suited them most instead of min/maxing. However, everything else feels really good! With exception to button mapping, everything felt a lot smoother and heavier, similar to BF4 but sort of a BF4++ in terms of soldier movement and gunplay. Just a touch faster
I honestly feel like my participation and job is being rewarded properly now. Been top of the board in 3 matches now and that's without having the most kills. It will take some getting use to and I already miss some of my loadout combos but can definitely feel the more structured gameplay.
My gripe with the proficiency weapon for classes is that none of the classes arent proficient with Marksman rifles and Tacticals. I feel like there should be "minor" proficiency for them at the very least.
If you think about it in logical terms no one is really "proficient" in Marksman rifles. They're just a stopgap weapon used between standard combat rifles and purpose built snipers. They're really just handed to soldiers that tend to score better on their marksmanship tests. As for tacticals, why would people be trained in those? They're niche weapons. The exception to that I suppose could be the railgun as I could see a highly specialized unit in their use being trained but everything else is whatever. If they were gonna go that route it should simply be that some classes get a proficiency bonus on some kind of utility. Snipers get the GVT, engineers get the shotguns, Assault gets the railgun, etc.
Thank you super woman. And are you liking the class system? Which specialist and weapon are you going for tier 1 now? Your videos are the best for 2042 content. Thank you.

As a veteran of Battlefield, it is quite nice that they return to what was before. Just think that they will lose more players because many younger people don't want to play in teams, it seems. They just want chaos & kills. Not the team play. For me, team play is the essence of this game.
Even though there is still no team play unless you play with friends and no people still don't want to work as a team when it comes to breakthrough or rush on all titles or I just have horrible luck.
Teamplay has always been a minority of players. It will continue to be the minority. Teamplay was never really affected by the specialist system. It was affected by a lack of information in the beta, then in the early release of the game. People simply didn't know who had ammo and had no way to ask for ammo. Now they do and they can. They have been able to for the best part of a year at this point. Unless people actively use those tools for communication that are available, it will never improve. Any belief that this is some kind of night and day change is pure self delusion.
I do have yet to pay the update but this seems like a good change, definitely going to take a bit to get used to but shouldn't be too bad especially if your someone who played/plays the older games. New players to BF might find it more weird
Now i hope they fix a bug that I can't respawn on super hind and condor when they are outside the map at start And hope i can zoom in the map to see where i really want to respawn, sometimes possible respawn icon stick together, i can't choose the one i want precisely, that's annoying sometimes One more thing I hope they'll change, separate the squad command (thanks, need ammo...etc) from the kills info that shows on left screen, maybe seperate it to the right. i know there's a filter that can set kills info to squad only, but I want it both at the same time and clear enough to know For now, patch 3.2 is awesome. But I also found some new glitches as well, hope they fix it soon
Did they fix throwing knife? When changing toggle for instathrow or equip, instathrow throws all 3 making you have to cancel it with reload or weapon switch.
I have noticed the exact opposite. Nobody wants to revive because nobody plays medic, past my first match not a single ammo crate in sight, enemies are swarming our points and everyone just runs away, campers are marked like, 8 times but nobody kills them, its ridiculous. I dont blame the new system, just the old, much more toxic battlefeild players coming back
What game are you playing?? I haven't seen any ammo or med crates on the ground since the the update. Haven't gotten revived by a random even once (aside from my squad). Restricting useful team based tools to operators noone plays (except falck) is stupid.
I am very Happy as well. The thing about classes is, that they make you feel like beeing part of a huge army. A step towards beeing actual infantry soldiers instead of weird cringe specialists. I also like the breakthrough mode on the new reworked map. The oil containers act similar to levelution, I like that.
thats anyone know how to use now ,after the classes system arrived, the med pen? i can't found in my inventory and the second week quest said i have to use it 5 times? how i can do it? thanks ^^
As someone who's trying to focus on being an Engineer, this update is suffering. It's not the specialists either, Boris is my most played for whatever reason. I CANNOT get any ammo, period. Once I'm out of rockets, that's it. In the few hours I've played today I've notice less overall supports, but a handful of very dedicated medics. I guess that's the problem with combining the ammo bearer with the medic role, everyones going heals and no one has ammo. Then if it's not the ammo, there isn't a recon player marking any vehicles for locks so I can use the Javelin. So I'm back to just using the recoiless M5 free aim. It's all so tiresome.
Hey, thx for this 🙂 do you have the same bug since the update? I can't shoot immediately after aiming. A bit like I had an LMG, while I use the M5, 30 round magazine and 1x25 sight. I dont have the bug all the time, and i don't have it on Aimlab.
So far the update is great, I really like how they changed the behavior when changing fire mode and underbarrel. But the new plus system is definitely gonna need some getting used to for me
Just a heads up, the thermal scopes can NOT see through ANY smoke and the Javelin is borked. some times it hits, sometimes it fucks off, sometimes it freaks out and hives you 30 or so hit indicators. I went and unlocked every thermal scope, none of them see through smoke and as a side note, they all take about three full seconds to finish the aim animation. Lastly, it's the old blue thermal, not the grey thermal / night vision.
@@TheCadWoman I mean, could you walk over a soldier and press revive to do so or you have to charge the defib as with other support specialists? If it's the latter, I guess no point in picking Falck over Irish
Weapon Proficiency: Tell me if I understand it correctly. Assault gets more bullets, that's all, I get that. Engineer gets EXTRA accuracy for LMGs, not that others get less? The same for Support, faster than normal draw time for SMGs? For all but Recon using scopes will have 'normal' unsteadiness? I need to know because this upsets my Specialist/Loadout system. I'm just an average player so it's important to create a new one fast.
The Tip of the day for me and for anyone is take the info Cad just laid out about the controls, adjust them then play a few solo matches against AI to get use to the newness of the changes. We going have to retrain our muscle memory now
@@TheCadWoman Seriously. I hate the latest update. This is the first adjustment I hate. They took away my M5 as a Falke. Partly commenting for the algo, but for new players do know that the shortcut kits will discount per item you have already unlocked. Farming some bot games real quick for the starting levels could be nice for this discount.
The Lis armor hunter nerf isnt as bad as i thought, just annoying. Instead of disctance i wish it did more damage to transport helicopters and latvs. Also i wish that the squad revive still had 50 health, its hard to help the squadmates with only 25 health. Most medics still dont revive
CadWoman when i go on Browse servers [BF2042] then i select your servers weapons and unlock farms can i unlock the AEK 971 weapon and when i go on weapons and unlock farms no matter which server i select i allways end up on AI bot players Why. I would perfer the other side where there are less players
Since the update it seems loading times (on PS4) are much longer it seems. The new controller layout is a catastrophe. Why did they change that? Makes no sense to me. Now have to fiddle around to get back the old one.
I'm not really feeling it, I played a few rounds no ammo to be found which I knew would happen, and the support class is absolutely helpless against vehicles and if for some reason you decide to take ammo you can heal yourself even though you can revive others.
I personally don't like the new class system or the changes making the maps smaller I know I am in the minority here. I got used to the specialist system, the new class system just makes me feel limited and the redesigned maps just feel like they are forcing you into combat
These people saying the class system will bring in teamwork but in reality everyone’s just gonna go to either engineer or assault just like any other bf game, until the game gets squad features and support is buffed in a way, it will always feel like 28 blue names and 4 green names that do nothing except take your occasional kill The only good the class system actually brings is less people are running around with rpgs which is fucking good but the amount people running around with c4s are up
Someone mentioned, you should be able to turn on damage numbers (after hitting a vehicle with M5, or example) after this patch. Anyone knows, where to turn it on? P.S.: yeah, supports are the only ones who have no weapons against the tanks now (except underbarrel grenade launchers), sad.

Any belief that this is some kind of night and day change is pure self delusion.
I do have yet to pay the update but this seems like a good change, definitely going to take a bit to get used to but shouldn't be too bad especially if your someone who played/plays the older games.
New players to BF might find it more weird
That steady scope tip is a brilliant one, I should have been doing that for years! 👌
Now i hope they fix a bug that I can't respawn on super hind and condor when they are outside the map at start
And hope i can zoom in the map to see where i really want to respawn, sometimes possible respawn icon stick together, i can't choose the one i want precisely, that's annoying sometimes
One more thing I hope they'll change, separate the squad command (thanks, need ammo...etc) from the kills info that shows on left screen, maybe seperate it to the right. i know there's a filter that can set kills info to squad only, but I want it both at the same time and clear enough to know
For now, patch 3.2 is awesome. But I also found some new glitches as well, hope they fix it soon
Maybe already mentioned in comments, but weird buttons behaviour is gone once you restore default key mapping and then set it as you want.
Did they fix throwing knife? When changing toggle for instathrow or equip, instathrow throws all 3 making you have to cancel it with reload or weapon switch.
I guess that‘s a bug.
haven't seen it in the patch notes but Med pen restocks from ammo crate aswell now
The fact that everything happens quickly now, melee a fence is instant rather than having to make a written booking in advance.
I don’t mind the class system and I think it can add a new dynamic. I’m just annoyed that I had to remap my custom controls lol
As always, thanks for the detailed breakdown of the new patch!
The update that transformed battlefield into Battlefield!
Does the marksman set of rifles belong to any class?
No it doesn’t.
After a couple matches with classes... I already noticed a lot more teamwork, ammo crates, med crates and revives. Big improvement.
@@SorasGreenTea i agree, ammo and med crates should 100 percent be available to all classes.
Insertion beacons should be on all classes
I am very Happy as well.
The thing about classes is, that they make you feel like beeing part of a huge army. A step towards beeing actual infantry soldiers instead of weird cringe specialists.
I also like the breakthrough mode on the new reworked map. The oil containers act similar to levelution, I like that.
I hate the change to Angel's ammo crate. 😕
thats anyone know how to use now ,after the classes system arrived, the med pen? i can't found in my inventory and the second week quest said i have to use it 5 times? how i can do it?
thanks ^^
Press d-pad up on controller or 5 on PC. I explained it in the video.
Thanks i needed a little help with button mapping 🙂🙂🙂
Looks good, I'm just gonna miss mackay's ability to get to higher ground quickly and use him as a sniper/crossbow and rocket launcher (AT or AA) :(
so how we change attachments in weapon now on the go ? ps5 version
Hold Y if you haven’t changed anything. And I would recommend to reset your button mapping since they are usually a bit messed up now.
@TheCadWoman ya I do not like this new change. Now tank and chopper is just easily flying around no one using launcher
Does the shortcuts include the attachments
I think it only unlocks the weapons themselves, but not sure about it.
Thank you for the great content like always. Were there any buffs or damage changes from the guns from portal?
Lastly, it's the old blue thermal, not the grey thermal / night vision.
very informative, thanks
I can't find class gadget (repair tools, insertion beacon and med pen) mastery level in collection or class menu tab.
Yeah that only shows up in the badge overview.
I’m so used to running Faulk with rockets 😞
Great content as usual, keep up great work x
Looking forward to your new setup guides! - so many changes and I’m sure there’s a lot to discover and rework
No custom class loadouts anymore?
does anyone know if crawford's trait works with the eod bot?
What’s the name of the song?
Awesome... I still think DICE should hire you even if its just to create these as promo videos - so helpful. Keep it up, we NEED you.
Now we only miss a better Squad Menue and System for Points.
So, does Falck always revive to full health still?
Yes. They all do now, only Falck is faster.
@@TheCadWoman I mean, could you walk over a soldier and press revive to do so or you have to charge the defib as with other support specialists? If it's the latter, I guess no point in picking Falck over Irish
@@ShadyEagle13 No you can still walk over a soldier and press the interact button for the revive.
Classes ! Yes ! Thanks Dice and thanks CadWomen for your wonderful explication ! ❤️
Makes me now have to play someone other than Angel. Back to kits is better. Im gonna be swapping between Boris and Angel now.
Yes that‘s all correct.
I'm so glad it came back, for now, no one who wasn't used to classes is playing correctly, though xD
The Tip of the day for me and for anyone is take the info Cad just laid out about the controls, adjust them then play a few solo matches against AI to get use to the newness of the changes. We going have to retrain our muscle memory now
多謝!
Thank you! ❤️
@@TheCadWoman Seriously. I hate the latest update. This is the first adjustment I hate. They took away my M5 as a Falke. I usually kill quite a few player and destroy a few vehicle in a game with a M5. Now i am lost. The should limited the vehicle use too if they limit the use of M5. I can revive my teamate and destroy the vehicle at the same time.Sorry for my broken english
Awesome as always mate. 😎
They need to add back the himar from bf4 as a battle pickup and some stationary 50 cal mgs to defend some flags spots and a couple stationary tow launchers
Engineer should have the smg proficiency and support lmg
Are you playing on a PC? I just bought an Xbox Series S Carbon and I swear the graphics are worse than my old Xbox One. If you are playing on a console, any tips to improve graphics?
I‘m on PC and Series X. Graphics are still better on PC. But Series S was the worst I‘ve seen so far. There’s nothing you can do about it.
Found a bit of a bug or could just be me on Xbox pad. To change scopes we now have to hold Y. That's great but it throws up your secondary weapons attachments instead of the weapon your currently using. So to get to attachments on your primary weapon have to switch to pistol and hold Y. Ffs
Try the default button setting.
Mine is bugged as well, the plus system is totally useless now for me.
Edit Controller Mappings > Restore Default.
@@spiceweasel79 that's the first thing I did
Thank you a lot for a great vid again👍👍 update is pretty cool, map rework is awesome… BUT !!! @TheCadWoman what you think about the change on the ADS time ??? That sucks and makes some weapons useless ….. or? Greez J‘
Partly commenting for the algo, but for new players do know that the shortcut kits will discount per item you have already unlocked. Farming some bot games real quick for the starting levels could be nice for this discount.
as a support main that focusses on helping my team in every match,i welcome the new scoreboard.
0:36 they have fuckin alternator in bf?
I’ve got Lis with C4 cool setup now I have to learn how to play again 😅
Damn got c4 and a launcher? That's a nice setup a menace against vehicles lol
I tried this morning and the issue that I had was that I couldn't create a different load out for that specialist in that class.
Crawford + m5 launcher hits different
Thanks for the advice
The Lis armor hunter nerf isnt as bad as i thought, just annoying. Instead of disctance i wish it did more damage to transport helicopters and latvs. Also i wish that the squad revive still had 50 health, its hard to help the squadmates with only 25 health. Most medics still dont revive
CadWoman when i go on Browse servers [BF2042] then i select your servers weapons and unlock farms can i unlock the AEK 971 weapon and when i go on weapons and unlock farms no matter which server i select i allways end up on AI bot players Why. I would perfer the other side where there are less players
I don’t know why this is happening to be honest. There’s also no way to fix it from my side. Have you tried the backup code?
no what is the backup code
Since the update it seems loading times (on PS4) are much longer it seems.
The new controller layout is a catastrophe. Why did they change that? Makes no sense to me. Now have to fiddle around to get back the old one.
The slower ADS will need some time to acclamate
I still think Sundance should be recon specifically because of her wing suit paik should be assault considering how aggressive you can be with her
I'm not really feeling it, I played a few rounds no ammo to be found which I knew would happen, and the support class is absolutely helpless against vehicles and if for some reason you decide to take ammo you can heal yourself even though you can revive others.
Killing people with the defib (or engi blowtorch) has been funny since BF3. Especially if they are prone snipers.
today is a big day for BF 2042. thanks for the video.
Rao without Stinger is even more useless now and the change of controller setting when changing weapon sight and ammo is annoying on controller 🤔
I personally don't like the new class system or the changes making the maps smaller I know I am in the minority here. I got used to the specialist system, the new class system just makes me feel limited and the redesigned maps just feel like they are forcing you into combat
These people saying the class system will bring in teamwork but in reality everyone’s just gonna go to either engineer or assault just like any other bf game, until the game gets squad features and support is buffed in a way, it will always feel like 28 blue names and 4 green names that do nothing except take your occasional kill
The only good the class system actually brings is less people are running around with rpgs which is fucking good but the amount people running around with c4s are up
Someone mentioned, you should be able to turn on damage numbers (after hitting a vehicle with M5, or example) after this patch. Anyone knows, where to turn it on?
P.S.: yeah, supports are the only ones who have no weapons against the tanks now (except underbarrel grenade launchers), sad.
I woke up early just to play the update. Was fun.
