If he was a pro he would put his opponents on guesses of what he holds.. because how he plays his betting patterns are all tells. and he effectively turns some hands with actual show down value into a stupid bluffs that really only get called by hands that beat him anyways.. he somehow thinks he can bet people off hands for no reason other than a pot sized bet..

he played it OK, because he knows he doesnt get called by any hands that he beats. he has a weak Q. the problem was he knew he was beat on the river but he talked himself into it thinking its possible he might be bluffing.. thats everyones mistake.. never talk yourself into a call because you think he might be bluffing.. you need to pay attention to the dynamics and betting patterns.
@@wallacekoenning3551 would you call with aces kings and jacks there too? Because their relative hand strength is the same based on Wolfgang’s range - he almost literally can’t have a worse queen. No flush draw on the flop, the only difference is card removal of your queen. I’m not trying to blast you, I just think that the hand plays better betting for value and having a villain call you down with suspicious 8’s through 10’s or maybe an A7 suited. This would be an interesting one for a call in on Bart Hansons podcast. I would have just bet folded every street past the flop I think.

You still get value from JJ-88 on both turn and river, you won’t get that much more value from a random float stabbing the river. If he check raises the turn your decision is clearer. Random floats will likely give up to a turn bet, middling pocket pairs have too much SD value to turn their hand into a bluff, and there are no real back door draws that turned any equity, so any check raise is weighted towards hands that have you beat since there are no worse queens he can have.
So you lost max value with AA because you only bought in for 1200 instead of 3k That's something you should never do in your pursuit unless you have specific reasons which you stated you did not. An overbet on flopped full seems like the best option as it looks bluffy.
It's possible that he only bought in 1k, not knowing what the other players were buying in with the intent to add on immediately once he knew. Maybe he got distracted before he could add on. Seems like a very sociable guy.
