The most beautiful livery on any 747 was British airways. Nothing compared to that livery! Nothing! We used to have British airways come over our house every night at 7 p.m. and one night when I was spotting down at Sea-Tac, I saw the mother of all go rounds; as she was coming in for a landing, she powered up and went back around so close to me! Never forget that ever

I visited LHR in early March 2020 and was able to see some BA 747s at the gates...really sad they are gone now! But Lufthansa remains happily in its position of keeping the 747-8 into the next decade (and it'll also get the all-new Allegris cabin). Then we see - in addition to the cargo planes - at least one passenger 747 at LAX...
