    Why using a a so small prop, the 25 fsr is a good engine but not a racing engine and not really able to run fast ! the smaller usable prop on this engine is a 9x4 or 8x6

      Did you even bother to listen to the intro? I don’t need to explain anything to you.

    Good morning David! Remember the OS .25 AX? I got her out of the box and ran it early this week. Ran perfectly. Sweet engine.
    Today, on the test stand, I have my OS .25 MAX with a 6x5 prop that I will be running. This engine was given to me and I've never ran it before. . I noticed the same play in the shaft. Front to back. It had a funky looking glow plug. Looked a bit like a spark plug, but same glow coil. I changed it out.
    Fingers crossed 🤞.
    Your .25 sounded pretty good.
    Lighter fluid? Great trick!
    Thom from Florida.

    A great engine and it did sound very powerful. There could be an air leak around the high speed needle as it was surging. I’m thinking it could go leaner and touch 16000.
    Bearing end play almost looks like a bushed engine so would be great to see a look inside. It could have the wrong bearings in there?
    Great video regardless! Always love to see FSR engines run

    Beautiful sound but I can see no smoke from exhaust pipe? It should have some in my opinion. Can't hear you very well when you are away from micro

    I have never experienced it myself but the gurus at k and b hobby in dayton oh told me thats how it is when the bearings are worn front to back,..I found my leak in the carb seals so like i said , no exp. just passing on some advice from the old gurus
    but ive bought new bearings that had waaaay too much play in them directly from the factory so be aware and good luck

    You still have litte snow at your place! One of my very first OS engines and engines actually! Powerful little engine I put 40 years ago on a 2-axis Svenson Westerly which was almost too powerful for her

    Hi David, what is the reason for priming a few turns clockwise, after priming anti clockwise first? Thank you

    • @dmrcflyr2
      @dmrcflyr2  6 місяців тому

      To make sure the engine isn’t hydrolocked if over primed.

      No but there are two videos on my channel on that engine. Simply do a search on my channel page. What do you need to know?

      @@dmrcflyr2 just wondering what your thoughts were on that engine

      @dmrcflyr2  6 місяців тому +1

      My thoughts are if you are buying a currently manufactured engine I suppose it is decent. Personally I would not buy one. Why? Because as I have said in many, many videos, the real quality engines from OS were manufactured from the late 70’s through the late 90’s. So you can take my thoughts with a grain of salt. I think the currently offered OS engines are overpriced crap.
