I Read and loved Biomega a few years back. I love all his work, including Blame. The down side to Nehiei's stuff tho, is because its nearly silent in the sense that there is so little dialogue, his books- esp Biomega- are ver short reads. So its sorta forgetable in a way.
i'm so mad on my self sometimes that i didn't bought 2-9 before it went out of print. i waited for perfect moment and to finde best place to get vol 1, but i waited too long :(
Tsutomu Nihei is one of my favorite mangaka of all time period. Dude used to be an architect before he took up being a mangaka. Really explains why his setting is so unreal and lifelife and how vast the megastructures are. He also has top tier foreshadowing skills linking one of the first manga he released to the ending of Blame! Theres a certain order a bunch of series leading up to Blame! that make it almost a completely different story than you would if you never read them and just dove into Blame!
Cornexium Gaming i dont know man holy land is little bit corny btw you should read dokgo if you haven't its awesome if you like holy land then you are gonna love this also it has only around 100 or so cp but chapter are quite long ,ah and btw it has its whole universe so if you comlete it read its sequel and prequel
So many series here that I have yet to check out. Fantastic recommendations man this was really helpful. That Ikigami really has my attention at the moment, I'm already in love with the art. Haha
wow finaly I found some manga people never talk about , I want to read something that I never read, people just talk about the same 10 -15 manga ,thanks man, hreat video
Kimiko yeah i know both of them are available on mangarock what i meant was Chinese manga=manhua=tales of demon and god korean manga that is called mamhwa=solo levelling so basically neither one of them are manga they are manhua and manhwa
I had The Gods Lie. in my most recent haul. Looking forward to read it. I've been meaning to buy it for months. I remember Dimension W came out when I was still working in the comic shop and I was meaning to get it then but I ended up not doing it and yeah haha Great video once again! :)
i'm going to try: Biomega....thanks for the recommendation, OP here's my recommendation of an underrated/underappreciated manga: Goblin Slayer(2016 manga), the MC is not OP but he is extremely experienced, he does get injured severely sometimes but still manages to win, give it a try, it's very good
this is really good! i love how u explain them so well, other videos about manga recommendations ive seen, they usually just show the manga and dont even explain at all lol
I'm glad you gave a shout out to Dimension W. I really enjoy the series. I think a lot of people avoid it because the anime had a not-so-satisfying conclusion, but so far the manga has been awesome. And don't get me wrong, I liked the anime enough to read the manga so that's saying something xD I'm really excited to see where the story goes post-anime Wish the cover price was cheaper though :/
New to the manga scene soo I was looking for some place to start that wasn't just mainstream titles I've heard already. Great video , Ima be picking a handful of your suggestions , especially the one bye Ito. Thanks bro, keep it up.
having read all the manga on this list, 100% agree with you. As for Master Keaton, Urasawa actually took over the plot and art after a couple volumes cuz the original story writer was too sick to write it. AS for another ten under apreciated manga: 1) Non Non Biyori (Favourite slice of life comedy) 2) Father and Son (Yotsuba but with a son instead) 3) Yotsuba 4) Space brothers (Arguably the best seinen, slice of life) 5) Dr. Slump (Akira Toriyama's work before DB, funny as hell) 6) Kingdom (Arguably the best battle historical seinen, amazing art and story) 7) Hajime no ippo (no words needed) 8) Ajin (Personally, I like it more than Tokyo Ghoul) 9) Pink - by Kyoko Ohkazaki (One volume manga, probably the best Josei I have read) 10) Noragami (Given it's 2 amazing seasons, I'm surprised how more people don't know about the manga)
I used the term'underappreciated' specifically for that reason. Just because they have a nice score on MAL, doesn't mean everyone has read them. Which should be the case! lol.
I think "popularity" in mal means how many people has read the series, and score/rank is different thing. I'm not sure how it exactly works it might have bigger popularity if rating is also good. But yeah I understand your point kinda. Maybe I knew most of these either from anime adaptation or from elsewhere. So I kinda wanted to see something new to really spark my interest. :D but yeah really haven't tried everything on the list so there most likely will be some series to look into.
Two Manwha series that have basically no reviews/recommendations on youtube yet but absolutely have the potential to be fan favorites among the Berserk/Kingdom crowd are 'Feng Shen Ji' and 'Shin Angyo Onshi'. Great list though. Will definitely read Parasyte and Biomega sooner or later.
Nimu Dash While I think that Shin Angyo Onshi is not as good as Berserk at its best game, it still works our a lot of things that Berserk poorly executed but it also has a lot of elements that really scream out on how some of the plot points in Berserk might follow. Also it actually ended instead of wandering aimlessly forever.
The weird thing about Shin Angyo Onshi is that very few people are aware of the series but those who have read it almost exclusively find it to be one of the best they've ever read. It has a unique MC, interesting and realistic characterization and development for almost every important character, a compeling story line, a satisfying ending, lots of action and great art. If you like Berserk, Vinland Saga, Claymore, Sun Ken Rock then you're going to like this manhwa as well.
Homonculus and Eden! Its an endless world are also some of the greatest seinen ever written. Extremely psychological reads with alot of symbolism and real world ties. Eden also has some of the best art and panel transitioning ive ever read. Probably the most underappreciated seinen imo
Definitely going to check out Lone Wolf and Cub and also Vinland Saga, I'm a fan of Northlanders. If you haven't checked out Vikings the television series you should, its great. I noticed you have Batman: Hush Noir, Checkout Watchmen Noir, its awesome and it has great sewn binding.
Great list! The only reason I haven't picked up Lone Wolf & Cub is because I am not a fan of the omnibuses and the single volumes are impossible to get, but maybe I'll get it I really don't know...
I love Dimension W, i was so excited when i realized the Mangaka was the same person that did another series i really loved call King of Thorn. As soon as i saw that i bought it. So far i love it.

In all seriousness I do want to try that Biomega out

federofo the single volume are so small tho D:
i would add in dorohedoro as well
Yes I agree

Inio Asano's Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction is incredible and underrated
HansSarpei23 hm has that been licensed?
I don't know ( I'm german).
NiiK_3 Nope, it's not licensed.
Pretty much almost all of his works. Even his 1-2 volume series are amazing
Elvis Cosovic hopefully soon then
Lone Wolf and Cub is a well known classic. Even Frank Miller loves it.

Shamo is one of the most underappreciated manga, as there is brutality in it...But the progression of the character is phenomenal
I've forgoten about that. Trully a masterpiece
Looks like I'll be picking up Ikigami
Maoh: Juvenile Remix is very underated

Abara is AWESOME too

War between the North and the South? Sounds like the War between North and South America. And that thing in Legend of Korra season 2.
By far the best manga that is truly under appreciated is The Fable check it out you are welcome.

what about Muhyo & Roji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigation manga? i really think its a underappreciated manga out there :/
Yeah I have the first 2 volumes and have enjoyed it so far.
I completely agree. Literally no one talks about the series, and I'm curious as to why. It's really good.
Silent Voice should be on the list
Nah it gained too much attention from the movie
Parasyte and Lone Wolf and Cub underappreciated?!? NEVER!!!! :D
:) Considering how GREAT they are, I need to see them in every collection haha!
