- This video shows the construction of the new mobile mini-ring named The Joynson Ring.
The 6 bells were cast by Matthew Higby in 2018. All the bells were rejects, but were retuned to this lovely little six.
They were hung into this mobile ring by O'Shea Engineering in 2020, who have done a fantastic job!

0:00 Blimey! They are brilliant. 😂
They do sound amazing don’t they! Sound very heavy for a mini ring 😂
@@FrancescoBellringer Yeah the bells have been cast to a shape so when they're tuned, the lowest note resonating is the loudest. The tenor hum is 661Hz.
James Joynson oh i meant the bells ringing in the introduction to the video 😂 but anyway thanks for the info
@@FrancescoBellringer Oh Right. Yeah, that's the audio from my Abergavenny video. I thought it would be a good backing track for the photos of my mini-ring.
Very nice indeed and extra cute too.
An 8 would be good
Would be fun to ring them
As a kid I had my own bell, it was from Whitechapel as dad was a bell hanger.
The bell was a rather large hand bell, what frustrated me is that it would never ring on the correct side, it had a lazy clapper.
I do remember working with him erecting the expo tower ring which is the closest I ever got to a mini ring.
Love the background ringing..
I’ve heard of the Expo Tower Ring. And the background ringing is the audio from my belfry video at Abergavenny.
@@JamesJoynson It was fairly large as it meant installing a complete frame with legs.
I used to help the old man install it sometimes.
Loads of fun
😅😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Brilliant James!
Belle, bravo!
Incredible ❤️
Bravo bravo greets from Rene from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Bravo!
Bells are being rung in the beginning in the key of D. I also believe the recording of the bells in the beginning we’re from the Westminster Abby being rung in a Stedman order
The ringing as the backing track, is the audio from my belfry video of Abergavenny.
This is brilliant!
May I ask what cathedral/church is being heard in the background
The background change ringing is the audio from my belfry video of Abergavenny.
the tenor is indeed a very nice bell, and very well tuned
what are the weights of these, individually?
oh woops - see it at the start
Yeah it’s at the start of the video, but if you want to know:
Treble - 6lbs 6oz in C#
2nd - 7lbs 11oz in B
3rd - 7lbs 9oz in A
4th - 8lbs 3oz in G#
5th - 9lbs 8oz in F#
Tenor - 11lbs 3oz in E
1:03 Counterweight clappers?

Go to the Shop and buy it
@@genamasljakov6732 not that simple they tend to be pricey and you have to get them made you cant just buy them lol
Where did you get the ropes from?
The ropes were made by Avon Ropes. My favourite rope maker!

Where i can buy similar set of bells
My bells are from Matthew Higby. So just go on his website and it specifies all different options he can do. If you want a small ring like this, he's the best.
@@JamesJoynson How much do they cost?
@@JamesJoynson and does he do frames?
A ring of 6 usually £4500 8 is around £5000@@cornwall_trainspotter4346
