- Footage from the mini rings at the 2014 Ringing Roadshow held on September 6th at Newbury Racecourse. I have put the mini (and in one case, model) rings in alphabetical order; Lichfield and Charmborough biggest and best, hence my having to help Margaret Chapman pull her bell off at the latter!! - and I also liked the Stallpits ring; certainly interesting to see how far the newer rings like these have come since the rather quirky Jubi peal!!
As for the handbells at Reading, well, we couldn't resist doing something daft, but the bells raised a smile with other commuters and brought an amusing end to a most enjoyable day out :-) - Розваги
There are now about 1,000 more flats at the Racecourse now... hugely overdeveloped...!
Them tiny bells sound cute
The first one, the ten in F#, I think need bigger sallies. They look a bit low and the sallies don’t look very easy to catch.
0:30 there's a gud deed being done for the elderly lady
I wish I was there there!
Than I could also ring the bells!
i wonder, has anyone tried 'knocking' the jubi peal while they're down in order to see what pitch they actually are? impossible to tell when being rung
My son was ringing the tenor to Stedman LOL
Mini Euan!
Is He talking about the maplestead campanile?
@@wolfgangsbrother6118Yes.
On the Jubi ring are they trying to replicate the back 6 of the old bells of Moseley?
Yes
How loud was the Lichfield Dio Mobile belfry?
Ringer Jason A bit piercing but not unbearable, no louder than they are on here with speakers at a normal sound level
1:44 - 3:02 Couldn't tell a note, sorry
They were surprisingly alright, you could hear them OK when the Charmborough ring wasn't going, the Jubi peal on the other hand were awful, couldn't tell a note there at all!!
And the whole frame moves!
Actually quite good, until the handbells at the end, when I thought "what a pair of wallys!"
My memories of a good day; the handbells were daft but amusing for us and raised a few smiles at the station. Wallies we are, but there's a helluva lot worse things we could have done had we the mind to. A good albeit daft end to a fantastic day!

The two coming down the escalator in front of you didn't so much as crack a smile, they were completely non plas!
simonbellringer Did you go over the A4 bridge over the canal?
Ringer Jake Possibly, but I wouldn't have paid much attention to the route once I was on the train unless it involved a change at Reading or arriving into Swindon station!!
simonbellringer After the roadshow, did you ring at St Nicolas in town? Because if you did, that is where I ring!
favoloso.
the 3rd person lookes like fred from i carly seriosly does
Which mini ring are you talking about?
