Mature women get ignored... a lot... but age doesn't mean you suddenly stop loving makeup or caring about how to use it to your best advantage. And what a lot of these makeup companies don't seem to comprehend is that we've got the disposable income to really invest in looking our best. As I tell my family and friends all the time, "natural beauty takes time, money, and dedication", LOL!
That's why I feel in love with their videos! 1. They explain what products are good for mature, oily & dry and what drug store dupes really work because I don't have money to throw array and I can't afford high end brands.
Did you know that Eva Longoria is a former beauty queen and soap opera actress? She certainly has to have known how to do her own makeup for both! She clearly has a passion for it, and observes everything her makeup artists have done and then takes the bits she likes and incorporates them into her routine! The only thing noticed is that she put an occlusive face oil on before the emolliant face cream, but clearly her passion is in makeup and not skincare!

When Eva Longoria was just starting out she did a lot of extra work to see how things worked on set. She was on Ally McBeal and all of the actresses pushed to get the blocking redone because she was so beautiful she was pulling focus from them.

I’m a Black woman of a certain age and most of my life I’ve been hearing that Black women in the public eye can’t depend on makeup artists & hair stylists being present that can handle their needs. Especially if they’re not in a production with lots of People of Color involved at all levels. So, then I’m not surprised that Eva knows how to do her own makeup well and is conscientious to get tips from makeup artists that know how to work with her skin and shade and tone. I’m sorry for the situations that still persist, but that’s why she’s still staying booked and busy 👍🏾

The VB Bronzer is actually pigmented and Blends beautifully. You Get two tones in the pan. So can choice depth or mix. Vb beauty is divine. Ps. Loved the video.
VB's makeup line is incredibly solid. Her bronzer is gorgeous and versatile and I love her lid lustres and her eyeliners! And the packaging? Oof, I'm in love. She's worth the splurge.

The look on Kevin’s face when he saw that dusty tarte palette I thought oh this is going to be so bad. I’m really shocked by how well she did. She definitely has a great makeup artist.
I'm not a big Tarte fan but the In Bloom palette is nice for what it is, and the color story is pretty similar to other popular nude eyeshadow palettes! What it's missing is a glittery topper but I really like the mattes!
You're so right about the L'oreal concealer, it is soo heavy (I have mature skin), so I just dab a little on a Qtip, then blend. You can also take a dab on the Qtip of concealer, then a dab of your foundation, apply, blend. Also, best primer for mature skin -I'm over 60- is The Body Shop's Primer- NO LIE, apply over moisturizer, leave for a sec or 2, and everything glides like Teflon over it! NO CAKING or CREASING!
I am older then Eva Longoria. I love make up. I use it as a tool in my kit. I get told all the time how people think I am in my mid 40's. I take very good care of my skin, I pay attention to the make up I use and I know my face and what works. You two have helped so much since I have been watching your show!

40 yo oily/combo skin and love my Kim Chi powder to set the face before i pop on my powder blush and contour/bronzer. Nothing wrong with powder when you're older as long as it's the right powder for your skin. Also i'm in Australia where I sweat a lot and the Kim Chi matte setting spray or the One Size are my jam.
