      Lol! That marine layer was setting back in fast and we still had pots to pick up.. it was kinda tricky finding some of the pots in the fog! Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it

    Nice vid! Your boat is dialed! Do you offer maintenance service? I have a 150 outboard.

      Thanks ! Boats are always a work in progress! Still quite a few things I need to install on mine before I would say I’m done .. lol Are you looking for a service video? Or me to do a service? I just did a mercury 150 service video and it should be up very soon.. but if your looking for service where do you live? Thanks for watching and commenting..

    Any concerns with aluminum boat in salt water?

    • @ReelLifeFisherman
      @ReelLifeFisherman  3 роки тому +1

      Not as long as you wash it down.. and there is hull protection you can apply if you go more often or leave it in a slip.. but these style of boats are more then capable in the salt and you see lots of them out there.. thanks for watching and commenting.. let me know if you have any questions ..

      @@ReelLifeFisherman i have a Lund baron 2150, its a 2002, I was debating bringing it to Florida for a week trip and fishing the ocean but I wasn't sure with rivets and salt and aluminum how it would wear on my boat. I'm from Minnesota so only fresh water up here. Do those halibut get any bigger like the size they are in Alaska?

    Good job brother. U guys are savages pulling pots by hand. Ask Santa for a scotty crab puller for Christmas. It’s compact and works awesome.

    • @ReelLifeFisherman

      That’s definitely on the list !! My old rusty crab pot puller complains too much! 🤣🤣 my buddies name is rusty 😉 thanks for watching and commenting.. I appreciate it!

    How deep when you fish?

    • @ReelLifeFisherman
      @ReelLifeFisherman  3 роки тому +1

      Between 80 to 40 feet or so depending on the rock pile ..

    Great video I know you didn’t want to risk it but next time you got to try the gaff just go for the head

    I`m definitely getting a gaf. Think thats easier than using the net when im salmontrolling alone. Had a triple hookup alone with salmon, and that was pretty hard netting them alone.

    is it safe to take my 16ft pontoon boat to bodega bay for some crabbing?

    • @ReelLifeFisherman
      @ReelLifeFisherman  3 роки тому

      On a nice calm day maybe it would be ok.. but most of the time I would just try to go on some one else’s boat.. pontoons are sweet boats ..but not made for the ocean.. thanks for watching and commenting.. let me know if you have any questions..
