It's essentially a joke form, you know what I mean.
I think a flying squirrel transformation would be perfect for replicating the pirate hat glide from Pirate's Curse.

I agree at all with your decision of the ranked list, and I really thank you that you put the Harpie form in the S tier, because, really, it looks SO AWESOME!
And a bit of context, the Harpie form in the original Shantae serves literally to fly ANYWHERE, but doesn't attack, and is the final form you get, but oh man her design is the best!
Maybe now you can make a Shantae forms list based on design, I would like to see it.

Actually the Harpie can attack in the original Shantae if you find its powerup.

The harpie form is kinda finicky at times, whether your trying to get through obsticles (the final level for instance)
U missed Shantae's hidden Succubus form dood.
I am pretty sure that was a cut form
It's good that your talking about other games like shantae instead the usual crash and spyro I would like to see more of it also nice ranked and I love the harpie too
I remember seeing magazine ads about the Shantae games for Gameboy growing up. I wanted to play em so bad but either couldn't afford it or couldn't find em. Fast forward to PS4, I've played Seven Sirens & Half Genie Hero....absolutely love it (exclude the occasional level/area.

I played only the first Shantae game, preorder risky revolution though, cannot wait to play it
My rankings of the transformations would be 4. Monkey, was really annoying to use in the gbc shantae, talismen fixes it a lot 3. Elephant, same as your take, good strength but terrible for traversal 2. Harpy, is good and I love the spider, controls like smooth spider silk!
Even its been a long time since I played a Shantae game(except I checked on Seven Sirens about a update), but yeah it be interesting what kind of adventure they would make next.
Even its not a bad idea to try and make a fan-story that can truly be inspired by our creativity. For instance I am currently trying to make a light novel illustration story about Shantae.
Doing some research and what I found is this, the series truly focuses on history that history rises up again and again. Thats a huge discovery so why not you all try to make up a story about Shantae? Would like to read it

I think a tiger transformation is definitely possible since it was going to be one of the original transformations in the first game when it was originally going to be an Snes game.
Or maybe a dolphin 🐬 jump over walls in water and maybe a penguin slide under spikes and blocks

I'm surprised there is nothing on D. It's like the transformations range from 'utterly situational' to 'Versatile with a capital V'.
I never found any of the transformations to be THAT bad to use, so I didn't think putting anything below C was accurate to how I felt. Plus like I said, the Mouse being the worst of the bunch would technically go between C and D.
I guess you didn't like playing as Bentley in the Spyro trilogy or whatever.

Is it just me or does the mouse form look out of place? The other forms look cute (dunno about the blobfish since I don't know what it looks like). The mouse, however, looks like someone made it as an afterthought. Probably because of its eyes.
Well, the form is so tiny that it doesn't have enough space for much detail.
