Have a great time at the beach! I use my Longaberger basket with the car organizer lid when I go on retreats. I can put the goodies I receive at the retreat inside, while the top stays all pretty and blinged out!

I seldom send a comment, but I had meant to tell you what a lovely gift the scissors were. That was truly a treat for someone. I love mine and worth every cent. I've worn out so many cheap pairs that get to the point they won't cut thread. Please don't pay any attention to old sour grapes.
I'm 70 years old, and I still miss my mama, too. It's something that just comes to mind on days that you need that special hug. I have wonderful family to hug, but no one like my mother.

Hardly a day passes that I don't think of my sweet mother; after the loss of a parent, our world is never the same. Sweet memories are comforting but some days are just hard. Have a wonderful time at your retreat! Your cat story reminded me of how my daughter ended up with her first cat. We have a fenced in yard and the one day I heard meowing on our deck and I opened the door to see where it was coming from because our 2 cats were going nuts hearing this meowing. I no sooner opened the door and this cat came running into our house. My 2 cats weren’t to thrilled so as a result my youngest daughter took him and named him Chance. Love watching you ladies you always bring a smile to my face. I totally understand about missing your mom-there are days that for no reason will have me missing my dad and my grandparents more than usual. It doesn’t matter the length of time they are gone. Again have a wonderful time at the beach retreat!

I’m the one that won the sissors last week and I’m very thankful. I’m in the boat like most of you I couldn’t have gotten them any other way. I’ve been here since the beginning and if I hadn’t of won I would not have been talking bad about these ladies. Do you remember the rule if you don’t have something nice don’t say it all.
You keep doing you, ladies. There will always be someone out there who lifts themselves up by putting others down. Christy, you made that comment lightheartedly as is typical of you both and one of the many reasons we all love your channel. We all know it wasn’t meant to belittle anyone. Christy, my mom has been gone for 38 years and I still think of her every single day and miss her every single day. As I write this I have tears in my eyes. Take care, you have a wonderful support system around you as do I. Family is everything.

Isn’t it odd how some little something will make us miss our sainted mommas more than we already do? I had a day like that yesterday when I ran across a little bobbin of DMC floss that my mom had labeled. I used a little bit of the floss. I know she would have appreciated that, but my heart sure was aching from missing her so much. You both have such sweet hearts, and most everybody who watches would agree with that. ❤❤
Thank you for sharing that! I bought some of those old tube pens of fabric paint back in the summer time and spent over 30 minutes in the thrift store just holding them and looking at them as I reminisced about how my Momma used to have a whole round plastic case full of 'em but only had/took the time to use them once or twice that I recall. 🌹

I keep hearing great things about those fancy scissors you like so much and it prompted me to look them up. Christmas is coming up soon and I might just treat myself to a pair.
Fun fact - I used to watch Sister Wives too. When our youngest son graduated from high school I suddenly felt like I was losing the job I loved most, being a mom. I told my husband we needed a sister wife to join the family so there could be more babies in the house. He said no way - he couldn’t manage more than one wife at a time 😂😂😂 Party pooper… lol

I never took your comment about the scissors as anything other than you like those scissors. There are many FlossTubers that have commented on how much they like the same ones. I like my cheapie Etsy scissors because they have cute designs on them. I have bought very expensive scissors when I used to sew. If you enjoy nice scissors so be it. I never felt like you were suggesting that we all needed those scissors. You two are both so kind, I would never think you’d ask us to give up buying groceries or medicine although if I ate less I’d probably lose some weight. Okay rant over. The Blackbird harvest piece is gorgeous. I would love to see it after you have it framed. I hope you both are enjoying your retreat. You seem to be very excited.

Look, we all know that not everyone wants, needs or can afford "all the things". That's just part of all parts of life. Having two daughters, we've had countless lessons on not coveting what others have and not allowing others to covet what we have. And I totally understand those rough days. I miss my Granny terribly when I have a quilt done or stitched something she would have loved. We have us a little private convo, maybe a few tears and I pray to the good Lord that I get to sit & sew with her again one day. Enjoy your retreat! Can't wait to hear all about it.

You both are very down to earth and I feel that comment was out of line. I used to be on a limited budget when my kids were young but now I have more money to spare now that they have flown the nest. I have never begrudged any one for what they can afford to purchase, nor do I have any jealousy for what others have. I watch your videos for your content. I grew up in southern Appalachia but have spent most of my adult life in the north. Watching your videos makes me feel like I am back home. It is good hearing expressions and saying I have not heard in years. Keep being you and know that you are appreciated by me.

I can only speak for myself but I enjoy seeing the products in your haul. It's how I learn about things that I may not have seen before. It doesn't mean that I feel pressured to go out and buy anything at all. You said it best when you said use your common sense. I'm just as happy for someone else to have something and am thankful for what I have as well. A lot of times I just use those tiny freebie scissors people give out even though I have others. No shame in doing and being you no matter what side of the fence your taste in scissors are. There is room for everyone at the table. ❤

The basket with that lid was called the Car Caddy Basket. 2 cup holders and spaces to hold what ever u may need in the car. Its in great condition enjoy I have collected Longaberger since 1984
