I have been made aware the "All time high" prices are from inflated pre order prices. But they may still convince you to spend more money on cardboard like me. Consider it corrected for future vids!
I had a Lurrus deck once, it has multiple different combo lines that made it gross. Fun card for it is Triarch's Praetorian. Also Bootlegger's Stash is nutty in a Jaheira deck. All your lands make Treasures, all those treasures can now tap for mana instead of having to sac.
If you're looking at all time high prices, you might want to look at the price after the card was actually released. All these super high prices on like Lurrus or Boromir comes from pre-order prices. I think it's much more interesting to know what the card was worth once it was actually released vs the overhyping basically every card sees pre-release. So for Lurrus, if you look at MTG golfdfish prices, the day Ikoria was released in the states, it had fallen from pre-order price of 20+ to $10, and then the highest it reached after it released was around $12.50 Otherwise, I'm sitting here like "No way Lurrus was ever a $20 card once it was printed" and now I have to pause and go look it up etc etc
I did not know that. Thats normally how these things go though , I try new things and you smart people help me dial them in! Consider it corrected! Much appreciated.
Crucible of Worlds is as expensive as it is on account of it is the only COLORLESS card that does this (similarly see Sword of Feast and Famine). Green has SEVERAL options for this (Ancient Greenwarden, Conduit of Worlds, Zask, the already mentioned Ramunap Excavator, and Perennial Behemoth) White has several effects such as Sun Titan that can get lands back from the graveyard. Any other color though? Crucible of Worlds is literally the only option.
