I feel pretty strongly it contains enough cards to put together several fun decks in itself to play with and against each other - it's like a very complicated board game box for some christmas morning Kitchen Table brew'n'brawl. On top of obviously being a bunch of cool cards to mix with the rest of your current or future collection, etc. I mention this because the "The Gathering" refers to a social gathering of players, people in real life. For most Magic Players the best gift is playing a game of magic.
I think these are all great choices! I would probably suggest that someone unfamiliar with Magic should avoid the one about buying collections/boxes of cards on Facebook. I get the idea behind it, and I think the sentiment is correct.. However there's a ton of caff floating around out there sold by people with "I know what I've got" energy I'd hate to learn that my partner or other loved one went and dropped $50 on a shoebox of like 200 pieces of bulk.
I feel like it’s worth saying your magic partner or family member or whoever is probably neurodivergent and organizes their cards in a very specific way. Speaking from experience as a magic the gathering player who is neurodivergent. Another cool thing would be a custom magic card. Someone made me a custom magic card with my cats on them; so cool. You just need time to get them printed but people on Etsy make them
@@AliveClint Yeah I would appreciate anything honestly but I could imagine a scenario where you give someone something and they already had some plan to laser cut a shelf system or something.
I want to love all of your choices...but as a Magic player, please do not buy me ANOTHER play mat! I have like 6 and I only use one and will only use one until it disincarnates. I love the sleaves idea, and infi tokens. Anther idea is a gift card from TCGplayer (yes they sell them on their site) unless you hate gift cards and want something more personal
Sorry I missed a whole eleven second’s because your right and beyond the 4th wall/screen my gf turn the tv off to make a point. 😢😂😅❤🎉😊😊😊 she doesn’t hate you I swear Dev and tries to rap your theme song herself 😅😂❤
Singles or everything needed to make better quality proxies instead of chipped warped faded discolored grossly overpriced Pringles from mtg an Hasbro. Will be a lot cheaper in long run and have better quality game pieces.
Merry Christmas, Devin! Love you bro!
Dev you were milliseconds away from a wicked Christopher Walken accent a few times and you know this! Great vid!
I definitely agree on the Foundations Starter Collection. It's a great deal for what you get!

Great vid! Liked & subbed. (Totally thought I was already subscribed)
Merry Christmas!
Literally all great choices
This is such a valuable video!
Heck, I play magic and struggle to get gifts for friends who also play magic.
I wish you had made this like a week ago. My wife could have used this for my gifts!
You are the main person I hope to meet at magic conventions lol hope you have a great Christmas man
I got one of my buddies some Howard Lyon prints. He loves angels so he got Sigarda and Avacyn. He was stoked!
Happy Holidays! Thanks for all the vids and good times!
Your awesome! Merry Christmas my guy!
Happy holidays fellow slingers!!
Great vid, Dev. Fantastic ideas. Wish the video came out a week ago before I did all my shopping 😅
Great guide, now I know what to get my Mtg friends! 🎁👍
Happy Holidays everyone and especially to you Dev, you have a great Magic channel and I wish you many more great videos and subs for 2025
This was fun

Saw the thumbnail… I came to learn what to get myself.
Dev you have said Chrimbus! I see, you fellow Tim and Eric watcher!
I'm confused why there is no honorable mention on this list...
The ditto shapeshifter LOL
WAIT WHAT?!?!?1 SANTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If the art print you want to get your loved one is out of stock, you can just get them an original altered artist proof. ;)
You my spirit animal dev
Hi im 48 with a 16 year old son. Who is Urza and should I be worried?
You can get them an artist proof from their favorite artist.
My non-magic playing partners both think you're great Dev 😁
Saint sbmtg, Dev Kringle
happy crimbus!
Brb, getting a custom playmat with Grandma's face on it
I thought the number 1 was gonna be sit down with them and play a few games
Don't forget a gift certificate to a lgs - support small business and let the player pick their cards 👍

I wouldn’t say that’s incredibly likely or anything. There’s very few card storage solutions I wouldn’t appreciate.

A pokemon tcg themed binder for my 15+ years old magic cards 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Only MTG players and their already knowledge, close relations know what a Shivan Dragon is.
