- I wanted to add a subwoofer into the stock system in my 2019 Chrysler 300s in the easiest way possible just to fill out the sound. This is what I came up with.

Don’t ever delete this video. One of the easiest installs I’ve ever seen on UA-cam. Everyone who wants a powered subwoofer, this video will 100% help them. I’m sure everyone just like me acknowledge the effort you put into this video. Well have you shared it yet??? Lol. The gain is at 75 and the filter is at about 90 to catch some of the low mids. Thank you for the comment, don't worry, I'll never delete it. I will however release the other version that I used a Tom Macdonald song in if I win the copyright dispute.
honestly I picked up a Rockville amp and sub and am very impressed with the sound quality. They make a decent bit of kit.
Installed mine last week. For the price they bump pretty good, but do taper off quickly below 40hz. Had the crossover set pretty high (75hz or so), and it was obnoxiously boomy (without feeling much bass). Set the crossover to 50hz (both on the amp, and on my radio), boosted 30 to 45hz in the EQ, and it's much cleaner sounding now. It's been 20 years since I've had a decent system (having kids will do that to ya. Lol), so this is a nice budget re-introduction back to having real bass again. Look forward to driving around, and even subscribed to the family plan on Spotify (my kids like music too!), for endless high-quality music. :)
Great video. I did almost exactly the same to my 300c, just with a different brand of amp and sub. Like you, I just wanted to fill out the lows in my Alpine system and didn't want earth shattering bass. Only real difference was that I used a mini fuse tap to get the remote wire connected straight from an accessory powered circuit in the fuse box. That was just one less wire to worry about splicing into.
One note: The Mopar Alpine systems in these cars are always the 6 speakers without a sub (Front high, Front low, Rear full range; both L & R). The Beats system would add a couple speakers and the sub. And then the Harmon Kardon system goes all the way up to 19 speakers with sub in the platinum edition of the 300 (since discontinued). Not sure who told you the Alpine system came with a sub, but they were mistaken.
And yes, UA-cam's copyright system is EXTREMELY overzealous even with copyright free music.

I bought a never wrecked, rust free 300 for $300. I wish that I had kept it and made a sweet cruiser out of it. Couldn't help the quick cash.....

I would have gone with alligator clips at the speaker side of the wire ends. Unless you're going Baja 500, they won't go anywhere. Aside from that and having to run power from the engine compartment, this is what I did when I bought my 2011 Malibu new.

Hey thanks! If I still had the VR60 I know it would be doing great. I have the VR80 and had the VRBP100 for a while but the 80 was my favorite. I have videos on both.

Yeah that's what I did the first 2 times. Magically there was no claim the 3rd time when I used the music directly from UA-cam. Crazy how that works.

As a serious basshead I would say try something other than Rockville to upgrade. That little integrated amp prob isn't putting out 150w.
Try Sundown Audio, B² Audio, DC Audio, Deaf Bonce/Alphard Group, Incriminator Audio, hell even Skar Audio. Anything on Down4sound will be 100× better.
Try a single Sundown U- 8" sub powered by a JP8 amplifier. At least 4g wire!
I wanna add some bass to my old 2008 Toyota Highlander , but nothing expensive or permanent(so I can move it to my next car, planning to trade in soon) maybe something easier to install like a powered sub
Why not use line.output with remote trigger instead of running a separate remote wire?
If its 500w MAX, trust me its about 100RMS at most.But it depends how much you want to spend.

how did you know to tap into the pink wire for the remote? i have a challenger. should be the same
where do you leave the Gain and crossover when you were all settled in with it?
Would you choose the Rockville subwoofer over the beats by dre?
I have a 2022 with the Alipine system...the sub is in the trunk itself on the right side against the side of the car. Yours never came with that?
Do you have bass roll out from the head unit lowering the bass level as the volume goes up?

Ah yes... I have a Rockville spare tire sub woofer, it has a pendant for controls of bass /gain ect..
Why just get u a circuit adder and use the ignition fuse inside the fuse box as a tap
UA-cam has went to absolute crap ever since google bought it. There was NO copyright crap when UA-cam was UA-cam.

Hey Joe, my name is Chris. I have the same car as you and I want to hook up my kicker 15” subwoofer. Also got ripped off with the no subwoofer with the alpine speaker system. I have a couple questions. I used to hook up my rca cables through the head unit with other cars. But I don’t wanna take apart the dashboard. Could I just use the speaker wire and hook that up instead and just tap into the speakers in the back. Without the use of rca cables?

you didn't get ripped off. The Alpine system in these cars never came with a sub. You'd have to pay extra for the beats system or Harmon Kardon system for that.

he didn't get shafted. The Alpine system never came with a sub. Someone must have been confused when they told him that it did.
