I Bought A New Boat!!

- After many years of fishing from my Attack boat, I finally decided to change it up and get a new boat.
Buying this boat was just another one of them 'it meant to happen' moments, as a mate decided to sell his when I told him I was looking for a very similar boat to buy.
So, the new boat is a Bassco Hurricane!
Bascially it is an old school 445 Haines, stretched to 485. Built with thermolite transom and full fibreglass, foam filled stringers.
This a smaller boat than the Attack but the well laid out internals in this boat doesn't feel like a smaller boat. The big reason for going away from the Attack is to get a boat more 'open water' capable. And this hull sure is that! Deep V means it cuts through swell and chop better than the flatter bottom of the old boat.
Stay turned for fishing further afield than before as the long-range fuel and more sea worthy ride should see new fishing adventures!

Do you think you can get out to the reefs up north? The sides still look short shallow, might be dicey when the wind picks up. Love the colour though.

About 5-8k’s difference in speed I recon.
Fuel is about the same, the old boat might be slightly better on fuel and quicker.
Nice rig! Won’t that talon be a pain in the arse to fight a fish around the boat?

In all honesty, I won’t have it on for the majority of my fishing trips.
You won't bother with that transducer on the electric once you run the 360. The combo of the 360 and live will be 👌

I’m pretty happy with Mercury motors mate.
If I re-power I’d consider a SHO yami.
They are the best 2 brands atm.
