Have you ever tested a CNHL (China Hobby line) battery? The speedrun guy swear by them. The price seems good And when it's time for a new battery I'm going to give them a shot. How are these battery companies allowed to just slap stickers on batteries making claims of 100c/150c ? It doesn't seem to be any association that checks on what these companies claim. Same thing goes for 18650 and 21700 batts.
There are no standards for what the C rating is listed as. Most of the time they are way exaggerated to sell more product. 30c safe discharge is really good for a cool battery and the helios got that, 20c isn't bad either
@@ExocagedRC Exactly. A few years back when I was looking into lithium ion batteries like 18650s and 21700s some companies where we're claiming ridiculous 40 and 50 amp ratings. When tested they showed actually 15 to 20. So far 25 amp 18650 (sony vtc5a) has been one of the best tested. It's kind of crazy how they're allowed to claim whatever they want and if people try to push a battery to actually achieve some of these claims could be very dangerous. You're right though there is no consistent rating parameters. Like so many amps for 5 seconds etc etc. As I understand it there is really only like three or four major battery companies in the whole world anyway. Not really needed for crawling but CNHL has gotten rave reviews from a ton of the speedrun guys trying to draw a massive power from batteries. They're not even priced crazy either.
