Here's D'Addario artist Carlotta Dalia performing "Capricho Árabe" by Francisco Tárrega (1852-1909) on a 2022 Gabriele Lodi "Torres" classical guitar made with spruce top and Mahogany (with African rosewood wedge) back and sides and fitted with D'Addario XT medium tension. Filmed on location at the Teatro Asteria in Milan, Italy. Special thanks to D'Addario for arranging the video shoot!

Gorgeous! I always thought mahogany was associated with cheaper guitars. I'm guessing this is a different type of mahogany.
It isn’t so much that specific wood is associated with expensive or cheap guitars. It’s whether they’re made in a factory, or by one person, and also how well they’re made.
No one who plays Gibson, Martin or other high end and handmade steel string guitars thinks that way.
@@niceguitar6144 I have played a number of factory made guitars that blew me away. Conversely, I’ve played a number of luthier created instruments that felt and sounded like garbage. Guitars are so highly individual.

I love Gabriele, and unrelated to him, the performance truly is excellent. However, when I listen to this guitar, Torres is the last thing I think of. Maybe the recording didn’t flatter it well enough? Where are the boxy mids? Where is the fantastic, deep body resonance bass, And where are the rather warm and dark trebles? I guess it looks like a Torres but at least in this recording it doesn’t sound like one. Feel free to get mad at me
I believe the reason is she is playing with her nails and that is taking away from "deep body resonance bass" and the mids.

Next time please try to isolate heavy breathing. Almost only thing I could hear throughout
Don’t be so indignant. That is very difficult to do with a close range Mike. It also adds to the performance, the musician is a real person that does breathe. While the breathing is audible, it definitely isn’t as you describe it. You can clearly hear the peace. There’s no need to exaggerates so greatly.
@@niceguitar6144 No, the breathing IS very noticeable. Glad you're ok with it, but those with more sensitive ears might find it distracting.
@@mmsd1108 i’m willing to bet that your ears are not as sensitive as mine. It’s a matter of taste, not overly sensitive ears that somehow hear everything which others don’t hear I hear the breathing but it by no means overpowers the music. Also, I’m again telling you: this is typical for solo classical music performers in general.
I can hear baby ants taking their first steps in the basement of the house next door to me and yet.. the breathing in this video doesn’t bother me.
@@niceguitar6144 it’s not typical. I watched thousands of videos and never noticed it. It’s the only thing I can concentrate in this video. It is obvious that guitarists breath like any other people, it doesn’t mean that I have to listen to it, any more than listening breathing any other person
