There's a reason why there's 4 professions for mental health - to get more into the profession to deal with the shortage of mental health professionals during this mental health crisis.
Psychiatrist - Most educated, can prescribe medicine. The person attempts to treat patients through narcopsychiatry or improving mental health through medication. I.E. Lithium, Zoloft, etc.
Psychologist - Slightly less educated than a psychiatrist. Can not prescribe drugs. This person makes determination of a patient's mental health status to determine the best course of treatment.
Therapist - less educated than psychologist or psychiatrist and has more one-on-one contact with a patient. Can not prescribe drugs. Their treatment is mostly discussion based/talk therapy.

what do you mean by slightly educated? Being a psychologist take 11 years to study. Psychologist is much more on research and talk therapy and mostly they focused on Psychological and neuropsychological test. Broader your research. 1) never see a psychiatrists because they are pure evil. They misdiagnose people and lock innocent people up at psych wards for no reason. Then they force psych meds on them so they can profit off them for the rest of their lives.

Years ago I was at London's Speakers' Corner on a Sunday morning listening to the various speakers of religion, politics etc. A big crowd with raucous laughter drew me to it. Inside the ring of people was an impeccably dressed man in bowler hat, pinstripe suit etc. Standing,he would suddenly sweep his arms down & around repeating the lines,"it could be this or it could be that...but on the other hand it .". & so it went on with beautiful waves of laughter in the crowd. After half an or so he ended with " & if you believe me then you should see a psychiatrist, & I'm one." He then left. Looking back I can see that humour was his main message & suggesting that nothing is fixed, but always changing & elusive.

Sounds like you should visit a therapist first to see if you can address any behavioral issues through talk therapy. If that doesn’t work there might be some more deeper mental disorders that will need to be diagnosed by a psychologist, then possibly medicated by a psychiatrist.

I enjoy your videos very much and am looking for the answer to my own question . I am 65 years old and consider my self to have been successful in life . I have a 32 year old daughter whose behavior has become intolerable in the past 7 years . She confesses that she has depression but refuses to visit a counselor . I am very worried about her and feel helpless . She blames me , my Ex wife and our entourage for putting her in this situation and can not put the past behind her . She is a very sweet person but sometimes she becomes very agitated is looking for an opportunity to start her blaming game . I always believed that giving her attention and love is going to one day stop her depression but there is so much i can sacrifice without getting hurt myself . Is she a narcissist ? How can i help her ?

(in a few months) Psychologist here - disclaimer: this isn´t advice; it´s a collection of hopefully stringend ideas.
I suppose the obvious idea is to search professional help. The next idea is a reframing of what depression means - depression is a chemical inbalance in the brain that can, in most cases, not be "cured" by giving the person attention and love. What it means to be a parent needs to be your own struggle but generally I would advice attention and love to be something that is given unconditionally independently of trying to achieve or cure anything. The depression can have multifaceted reasons and while again I advice you to actually search out a professional - this can, especially in the US, be a pretty expensive endeavour. Many parents are generally not happy with the "blaming game" - which is really not a game and rather a deeply emotional discussion with your daughter - so many topics try to be pushed under the carped. Not what is or needs to be happening in your situation but it might give you an idea how daughters generally feel in such situations.
Now we might step back for a moment and realize that we are part of a highly complex neurosocial network and many times what we need is to talk about our ideas. Openly. In cases like these problems don´t inherently lie with us but they might be aggravated by our presence. The neurosocial network that constructs our personality and identity might be more complex than we thought. It might be a good idea to visit a professional but don´t expect him to have the perfect answers - psychologists can only help us; we still need to find the answers ourself.
Some German humor: That counseling will be 15$ please, you can pay me later.

What you say is incorrect. Depression is not due to a defect in brain chemistry. This has recently been proven incorrect in many studies
Often this talk comes from psychiatrists cause they want to sell their medicines anyway 😅

Can you help me, or anyone in the comments?.
Yesterday at night i was in a room, i had to wait there until the smell of spray for mosquitoes disappeared so i can get out, because of a temporary fear from not long ago i felt like locked in in that room because i knew i won't be able to get out (I'm not claustrophobic) when i want to, while i was waiting there i was looking at my phone too which made me feel even more locked and hard to breathe, now when i left the room i didn't feel like I did, and even now i have the same feeling, I'm trying to convince my mind that I'm out not and that it's all good but it's not working much, i feel better for a bit and the feeling comes again, what should i do?.

There are treatment methods that do not require a lot of talking. In the end, you can choose the psychotherapist and psychologist with whom you feel comfortable and ask to change the treatment method if possible. If you literally do not like talking, and that hurts you a lot, you talk, but it is possible with a lot of talking to adapt. I wish you good health. And wellness at last.
