I disagree with the comment about wanting an agenda - I really appreciate the honest conversation between curious analysts that are asking each other curious questions and going wherever that takes them. Awesome work guys - PMax and the infinite setting possibilities will give us lots of time to spin the dials in different ways to see what gives us more of what's working.

Great content. But I can not set up the feed only via google ads editor. It forces me to add a least 3 headlines ... any idea /video how to fix it?

stellar episode. I have also been on the frontlines of feed only pmax campaigns. they are becoming the answer to a lot of issues and posing great tests for future strategies. thanks for sharing yours!

Long time fan of the channel. I wonder how much of this is actually necessary. There are so many businesses that do not fiddle and constantly change their campaigns and they do quite well. It would be intesting to run a split test where you "optimize" a campaign versus just letting pmax do it's thing.

Genuinely curious here, do you actively manage accounts? I'm guessing you don't. I've been working in agencies for years. I constantly audit accounts that were setup and left as-is for months or years. The results are very often not pretty and even when things look good at a glance, you will always find a lot to optimize and improve on. I've taken over medium-large budgets accounts that were setup and run by agencies for years with seemingly best-practices (Pmax included as of late) and have scaled revenue by many multiples due to finding optimizations where none seemed to exist.
Sometimes you do get lucky with "set it and forget it" accounts. But, for every one of those there are far more that require a lot of tweaking and testing to try and hit the clients goals. It takes a very lucky mix of product, brand, market, and auction competitiveness to get campaigns and accounts that just seem to run themselves. By the sounds of your comment you have never been under the gun trying to desperately hit a 2 ROAS for a client operating in a hyper competitive niche.

@@brian2973 Did not mean to make you upset, you obviously are passionate about your work. I was taking more of a shot at the Google Ads platform as the work that you should not be necessary yet it is. It's a flawed system that requires people to spend their entire professional careers trying to figure out its inner workings. Just seems like a complete gamed system that nobody wants to be part of yet is forced to. Thank you for the videos.

Does the upgraded smart shopping to PMax feed only campaign or the new PMax campaign feed only perform better?

Hey all, had a question regarding Feed only, when I create a new asset group and simply publish it from there, it can run with just the feed. But the moment I make any change, like if I wanted a feed only campaign to showcase a certain collection of products, then Google gives me an error message, saying I have to add in headlines and descriptions and such. Is there a way to get around this or can you show how to physically set one up?

This little trick doesn't seem to be working anymore, making a new second asset and just saving it still prompts you to input pictures and headlines, has anyone in-counted this? Im doing this on a brand new account, all my other accounts it worked.

I don't understand Pmax feed only. Does that mean it does no remarkeint, display, yourube etc and just does shopping?

It does, it's just does not have assets. I personally prefer no signal asset group than no feed, tested both and no signal works much better

@@ottodia_ Thanks for clarifying, that was a little hard to follow. One specialist said he creates a feed only campaign with one asset group - so started to doubt what they mean by "feed only."

Sollid episode again! I do have an questoin tho, how much does the ROAS per product differ? or do the products have similar range of ROAS and therfore they all fit in one campaign.

This does not work because if you do not add any assets in the asset group, Google automatically creates terrible search ads with four headlines that soak up a lot of the budget, and they cannot be turned off.
