You couldn’t have picked a more therapeutic outing. This world is going crazy and nature is the only thing we have left to keep us grounded. Beautiful trip!!!
Very relaxing to watch, makes you not to worry of what's going on all around the world, makes you fell free safe with Almighty God beautiful nature's creation
I do not envy man, who have money, expensive car or mansion and all the treasures of the world. But I truly envy the man, who have canoe, his backpack, fly fishing rod and all the beauty of the nature all around him.
FYI: Btu is the British acronym for British Thermal Unit defined as how much heat energy is required to increase the temperature of one pound of water by one degree Fahrenheit. Various common fuels (wood, coal, oil and natural gas) are rated according to their released heat energy when combusted - wood type fuels ranging 2,000- 4,000 Btu/lb fuel and coal type fuels ranging 4,000-13,000 Btu/lb fuel. All a matter of how dry and hard the wood fuel is, well-dried hardwoods at the high range of fuel burning values - wet Saskatchewan lignite coal at the low range and BC and NS bituminous hard coal at the high range. Best wishes with your future trout fishing adventures from an Albertan and avid fly fisher since 1974.
As one gets older, trips are less about miles travelled and more about enjoying the beauty around. Trout fishing is part of the enjoyment. Relaxing video, glad you filmed it.
This is what we need more of in today's climate. Solitude, beautiful scenery, wild harvest and kicking back with a brew. Great to see you again Noah, thanks for filming this one.
Wow! You really do have some beautiful scenery in Nova Scotia. Amazing! Nothing like a few days alone with a juicy brook trout on the fire to rejuvenate the soul. Stay healthy and keep the videos coming!!
I live thousands of kilometres from where you are today, Thank you Noah, I enjoyed and dreamed and I even forgot my troubles seeing a beautiful place. Cheers Mate and thank you 👍👍👍👍👍✌
Not only are your trips/expeditions inspirational but the creativity and educational aspects are so enjoyable to watch! Please keep making these videos!
Those shades of bush greens are so vivid against the stillwater fog - beautiful footage - you captured late spring , early summer in Nova Scotia very well ✅
Comment 334!!! Just want to add my voice and praise of these great videos. This one was so evocative of the province where I grew up. I live now in southeast Asia and wouldn't trade it but boy oh boy, they sure makes me miss Nova scotia. Thanks Noah.
Thanks for watching! Let us know if you would prefer the pepperoni sandwich or the brookie bacon grease special on your next backcountry trip. Other meal ideas are also welcomed :) Edit: This trip was filmed in June
The cranberry would definitely be on point. The tartness would cut through the fat and richness of the other ingredients. It looked delicious. PS. Are you rocking a 7wt?
A master woodsman is a guy who can recover his shoe with the canoe on his shoulders!Eating Speckled trout, and cranberries and the ground is covered with Red pine needles. You have made me homesick for Northern Ontario.
Buy yourself a "fine" mesh tea replacement basket. They're small and compact and they fit inside a cup easily you can reuse them over and over for multiple cups as long as you boil enough water. Just add two spoonfuls of coffee pour hot water over the grounds and then let it sit for a minute and slowly lift out the basket. Add another spoonful after the second cup for making a third cup. Best thing is they are small lightweight and fit inside your pot.
I love your videos Noah. Thanks for taking me along, for the fishing action, the meals, the superb sunset shots, and your gentle presence. Next time don't overlook those suckers -- lots of fun on the long rod.
That’s gotta be one of the most creative backcountry meals I’ve seen. Sounds so good. I think I’m due for a solo, no plan kinda trip. There is something to be said about those times. Awesome fishing too, really enjoyed this, thanks for taking the time to film it.
Noah: this is a great video, fantastic photography, great narration. I loved it all. I have been backcountry canoeing in Nova Scotia for about 35 years and still learned a few things from this video. Your work is showing off the province in wonderful ways, many people in urban settings can only dream of this sort of thing, cheers.
Brilliant video Noah, what a stunning part of this beautiful world we live in, will keep an eye out for more of your adventures, thank you. Mitch from Scotland 👍
Lol at the shoe - good job getting it back on without dropping the boat. My friends think I'm nuts going out at the height of black fly season, but those tannic waters dotted with with little foamy bits get my blood pumping. I'm a lowly worm guy, though - blaze orange, double-blade, Hildebrandt spinners are my thing. And "yowza" at the amount of rocker on that canoe - kudos on keeping her straight.
Loving all your explanations and talking to the camera.good perspe tive.makrs it more personal for me,a. novice .felt relaxing,a good trip.hope to see more
I was thinking man I wish I was out there, until, I heard the bugs. Then I said man I'm glad I'm watchin' this on my laptop. The only camping I do is in the fall. No bugs, no heat. Bliss!
Building up a fire pit please don’t take rocks from the river, they will explode. An old Guide told me this when I was young, and I thought how dramatic...explode. I didn’t listen and bent down for firewood as the rock exploded and it blew a piece of bark off the tree I was standing in front of the size of a cell phone.
I just recently found your channel and enjoyed watching your 35 day trip across Quebec and Labrador. Please stop saying "oh my god" so much after all you are only catching a fish. Keep up the good work.
Holy Moly that heavenly Pizza.. Bacon and trout for one, adding the cranberries for the acidualet at the top.. i can taste it to over here! :) Also, to the tunes of those singing frogs.. Nature at its best.. A great episode Noah! Thanx for sharing!
Awesome video my friend! The landscape shots were amazing. When you see those shots while making a video, you just know. Thank you for taking us along on your adventure.
Great vid brother.. I loved the menu prep and the footage from the fishing holes. God bless you man for briging these to us. Such a pleasure to watch and hope to see more during this messed up 2021 year. Cheers and be safe :)
New subscriber. Great outdoors photography. Uplifting to say the least. I've spent my life outdoors doing a variety of things year-round, but alas I got old and have become disabled. I love channels like yours that take me outside on an adventure. I'm sure I'll become a regular viewer.
Sweet video and beauty trout you caught Noah. I bet it tasted better knowing you caught it on the fly! Well done... and I’ve read some comments about folk wondering your location. Initially I thought this was spring of 2021 but once I saw the foliage I knew it was 2020. Anytime fish are involved I think we all respect that It’s up to us to discover our own fishing holes and trails. Appreciate your time on the camera and edit..thanks much.
I love the longer more detailed videos. I enjoy watching the time spent at camp more than the various videos that only feature paddling and fishing, and skip the camp parts. Great meal with the pizza. Looking forward to seeing what you guys are up to in the 2021 paddling season.
I can't wait to come back and finish this later 😩 I'm slowly losing my mind and these trips bring me so much happiness. Also the beard is looking good!
Love these hour long videos!! Better than any garbage on TV.
Isn't that the truth !
You couldn’t have picked a more therapeutic outing. This world is going crazy and nature is the only thing we have left to keep us grounded. Beautiful trip!!!
ABSOLUTELY.. Nature, free therapy
Very relaxing to watch, makes you not to worry of what's going on all around the world, makes you fell free safe with Almighty God beautiful nature's creation
chef for 40 years. just watched. Must eat!
From all of us in isolation, thanks for bringing the camera!
This is just what my psyche ordered. Thanks for sharing this zen trip. Now that I’m hooked on your channel, going back in time and loving it.
I do not envy man, who have money, expensive car or mansion and all the treasures of the world. But I truly envy the man, who have canoe, his backpack, fly fishing rod and all the beauty of the nature all around him.
I second that!
I just want land and that’s it! I can do the rest myself
But with money, u can afford those things

You are man, you have inspired me to get off my ass and live again! Dusting off all my gear and getting to it. Thanks man
Get after it Ash!

You’re an inspiration, buddy. The solitude and serenity you captured in this video make it one of the best on UA-cam. Nice work!
FINALLY, a fly fisher in the wilderness. You just went to the top of my list!!!
Dying to get out and do something like this

Here for Noah’s camp cooking content 🙋🏼♀️
Thanks for watching! Let us know if you would prefer the pepperoni sandwich or the brookie bacon grease special on your next backcountry trip. Other meal ideas are also welcomed :)
Edit: This trip was filmed in June
That fish you caught is called a Golden Shiner, very common baitfish here in Nova Scotia.
KISS method on lunch...awesome meal
Two brookie bacon for me please!
@ moi aussi !
The cranberry would definitely be on point. The tartness would cut through the fat and richness of the other ingredients. It looked delicious.
PS. Are you rocking a 7wt?
Great tunes ,a must

but one who can also film the whole experience, elite!! hahaha
That was an awesome recovery.
Who puts a thumb down on a video like this... seriously!?
Keep it up!
The 43 thumbs down are people who are most likely in lockdown and can't go anywhere.... at all.
@@monapace9673 And this movie is to blame for their lockdown?... assholes :)
The trout
Wooow that is what you call a peaceful package ❤️❤️
So peaceful and relaxing...I wish I could just teleport myself there...
