    At 9:00 ... how did you go with your phone in there? Ive found that the phone overheats once the sun shines on it cause no airflow. Now to keep watching.

    • @TheGardenSnake
      @TheGardenSnake  4 роки тому +5

      It was fine but I was in the woods and cooler weather most of the time. Yeah phones don’t do well in general out in the direct sunlight. I use to have issues with it on a ram mount sometimes too. Even with all the wind hitting it, it would still over heat on hot days.

    • @mannydcbianco
      @mannydcbianco 4 роки тому +1

      @@TheGardenSnake Yeah overheating phones is just how it goes when riding in the summer in warmer climates like Texas. I have not found a way to stop it, but a white or silver case that reflects most of the sun's heat and using a RAM mount and getting the air flow is the best solution I've found so far.

    I will wait for the T-700 no comparison .. 21" front wheel longer wheel base 18" rear wheel not as steep of fork rake much more stable .. on a gravel road ect
    On My FZ-07 I have a larger tank bag.. GIVI 35 Liter hard case side cases.. Givi Hard Top case all lockable 42 Liters.. then I have a rack on the top case with a Huge Dry bag that holds my tent and sleeping bag.. Lone rider Tent 14# very large sleeps two plus can keep two motorcycles inside the tent.. I may go to a 2o ounce back packers tent from ZPacks

    Good job man! You've obviously already gone on your trip but in regards to the bag, definitely leave the support in there. I have the 70L SW-Motech dry bag and its downside is until you have it packed and rolled, it has no shape support. Anytime you open it while its strapped to the bike it instantly loses it shape and sags. You have to unclip it, retrieve you items and reseal it. While its only 4 clips and 5s, kinda a pain. Also I prefer the bags to go perpendicular to the bike, when they're in line I always feel like the bag shifts and pushes me forward no matter how tight they are. Plus the on long trips (600+ mile days) I like the full seat room to move around. Don't be afraid to rok strap some stuff outside your dry bag to create room inside. Stuff like your chair and table could easily be hung outside your bag as its not a huge deal if those get a little wet.

    • @TheGardenSnake
      @TheGardenSnake  4 роки тому +1

      I ended up buy some extra rok straps off Matt as soon as we hit the off road. Definitely needed a bit more security haha.

      Most insurance companies ask what modifications have been done to the bike. And will insure you at a given price. My bike has $2000 worth of insurance for upgrades. Just keep receipts and take pictures.
