I really love this journal, Barbara. I loved those viewmaster slides when I was young. It was like looking at beautiful postcard images or National Geographic photographs. Wish I still had all those slides, even the broken ones.
I’ve been looking to make my friend a travel journal for her trip to France. I was going to make a faux leather cover, but think I’ll go with a jeans cover now. It’ll hold up better to everyday wear. And the same with the signatures. As always, thanks for sharing and inspiring.
22:05 The needle booklet is delicious, I need to find time and energy to make something like that and keep it close to my work station (for quick hand-sewing sessions). Adding pockets to it for threads is clever. Nothing motivates me for action more than beautiful smart organizers. By default I keep all the spools with threads in boxes (and I should really think outside of them for a change). 33:10 Closure that is braded with macramé cord with the insertion of charms is something else,! Such a fun your channel!

This journal has so much inspiration! I love the fabric to hold the paper together. I use flour sack towels, dye them then stamp to get a specific look for each project. The brained closure is easy with so much impact. Thank you for sharing this project
@49dragonflies they sell them inexpensively at Walmart. 5 or 10 for $4 or $5. They are sometimes called tea towels. Just a simple cotton. I use them to strain tea sometimes lol
LOVE it!!! I've gathered some jeans and found tutorials on distressing using sandpaper. Making an apron first - then a lol bitty baby journal! So happy to be retired!!! Hugs and TFS!

Love the different shapes/types of signatures who'd have thought egg and taffy would go together? 🙊 only in the jj universe! Collage club special anniversary event is awesome! Stamping/stencilling on fabric works so well. I keep it from moving by using my old silhouette sticky mats. Also free images from Pixabay, pngegg etc if you don't have much stash. Even use free desktop wallpapers if you aren't selling finished items. I love negative area, threw so many away in my time 🙈. The button looks so cute poking through. Uncharted mariner is a gorgeous colour, using it with your steampunk kit atm as it matches perfectly! I LOVE her! So varied, so much to see. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

Barbara, absolutely love this journal. It’s fabulous! I don’t know why but the first page with the lady and the bottom says Amsterdam, the top has a word as well. Every time I see the top word, it looks to me to say Flintstones. LOL! When I saw it the first time I was like, why is Barbara putting Flinstones in her journal? 😆Oh my gosh! What our minds don’t see! Love the journal though. TFS! ❤️
Hello Barbara.. you inspired me again and I did make one of those journals for my grandson who is coming to visit us, so it's really a good thing to make this travel journal for him. Like you said before, it's inspirational and of course mine doesn't look exactly like yours but I'm loving it... thank you for the inspiration and getting me outside of my comfort zone...
