What The Hell Happened In Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance? - The Full Story

- Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance may not have been "A Hideo Kojima Game", and it may not have been the tactical espionage action experience that the Metal Gear series built its identity around, but PlatinumGames' action title was an excellent game nonetheless, and one that its fans still look back on fondly.
The game's biggest hook, of course, was its fast paced slicing and dicing action, and for good reason - there's nothing else quite like a good combat system made by Platinum - but true to the Metal Gear series, it also had a really engaging story. Not as heavily cinematic maybe, and definitely much sillier in tone (which is really saying something), but more than serviceable at what it set out to do. And here, we're going to take a look at that story, as we recount its most major events from beginning to end.

that moment raiden becomes honest with himself and embraces what he truly is, is a pretty strong scene for me. I dont even mind doing war crimes, and did a no mercy run where every enemy dies, it still manages to hit hard, at least I like to think so, because we all have that moment where we're trying to ignore reality and finding excuses.

Metal Gear Rising was the best Metal Gear game ever (as spin-off) I hope we see a Remake/Remaster for PS5 or even a sequel

It's comments like this that I don't understand... I have all my systems from the last 31 years with the orginal copies and a lot of remastered versions. So my question is if you are such a fan why would you not have them already? Games don't need to be updated to still be played

after finishing jetstream sam dlc i realised sam didnt have any good stuff at all as raiden and bladewolf said because he couldnt defeat armstrong so he had to join them and became bad he wanted raiden to get his sword he talked with bladewolf then bladewolf gave the sword to raiden to finish armstrong and get sam’s revenge

I wonder what happens when "Solid Snake" became an aslo a Cyborg Ninja and he dint died on advanced old age. as you can see in Revengeance they are just brains of children, so Solid Snake can go back as a Cyborg.

I highly doubt it considering the path Konami has chosen. Unfortunately with Kojima gone and Konami focusing on Pachinko, the MGS series are 6 feet under.

This game was fantastic in every way
On the title it's a metal gear game.
On the gameplay it's Vanquish on MDMA and turned up to 11 ....and glorious it is.
* grey fox costume is now free on xbox market place and so is alot of dlc for it .

I have a big issue with this game, and it’s mainly the fact that chronologically it makes no sense. At the end of Metal Gear 4, Raiden was given a human-like body in the hospital scene, and it seemed like he finally had found peace. Revengeance makes it so that Kojima's intended ending for Raiden means nothing.

@@MrDarkmetal06 It's more of the principle. I've finished the game a long time ago and I'd rather not go through the hoops. It's the idea that Konami for some reason, region-locked most of Asia (including Japan lol) out of this game. Don't know what kind of distribution arrangement they signed to handle the region or if they really locked us out from buying some of their games but it's the same for the second Castlevania: Lords of Shadow as well. You couldn't even gift it.

I used to love MGRR, from a story and gameplay standpoint (it was also the first mgs game I played), but after buying a ps3 and playing the MGS hd collection I must say that the story of MGRR sucks. We already found out Raidens story in mgs2 and mgs4 and what he's been trough, it just fells like this game was shit out by kojima because of the fans.
THATS EXACLT WHAT IVE BEEN THINKING. I knew bits and pieces of MGS here and there before MGR suddenly got popular (hell, I knew memes about the game before suddenly everyone started hopping on the bandwagon and repeating jokes people made a decade ago), but after MGR got popular, I was ok with it till I went on my own journey to play all of the MGS games, and I can confidently say, MGR sucks from a story perspective as it offers absolutely nothing compared to MGS

I desperately want to love this game but I just can't. I've played the game from start to Armstrong twice and I haven't defeated him to this day. I bought the game again recently on PC and I still ended up rage quitting. The rage I get from playing this game surpasses any of the soulsborne games and for the sake of my wellbeing I'll just have to enjoy the game by watching other people play it on youtube .

@@PanHanos I am using a controller to play the game, the only annoying thing is the camera at times but other then that, definietly this game is better with a controller since the mouse can be a pain in the butt to use
I highly recommend purchasing the defensive offense skill, as it's pretty clear the game expects you to even though it's never explicitly stated. By that point in the game, your certain to have enough BP for it and it allows you to dodge his un-blockable attacks far more easily. Jumping while using ninja run allows you to move significantly faster, and Armstrong will be surrounded by a more intense aura during the startup for his firewall attack. If you have enough BP, increase the amount of fuel cells you have as it'll allow you to spend more time lining up your strike during the blademode segments. There is always the option to decrease the difficulty as well, or restart the chapter to get more nanopastes if absolutely necessary. As for the qte segments, the time limit in which your supposed to press the buttons accordingly is very lenient so long as you press the right ones. That being said, the game provides plenty of options for you during this fight. Of course, it's not your obligation to return if you don't wish to but I hope these tips prove most helpful if you ever plan on doing so.
The game wasn’t bad but dmc did it better. The other thing was other then raiden/ metal gear ray it didn’t really need to be called metal gear. It wouldn’t been better if someone was trying to make a clone of solidus snake and have him as the villain
