One little quirk of the charge blade: contrary to other shield weapons, guarding with it spends sharpness, since the shield moonlights as the axe blade

@@gottakeepup yup yup. It's a flex and regular dodge roll will do but the repositioning is easier. I'd like to see how you'd do the switchaxe tutorial. I'm good with all weapons and I like to teach new hunters so I watch others for tips I miss. Another thing to mention about the slinger burst is after an axe swing it can be aimed anywhere and is a good way to reposition for your next swing or go nuts with the savage axe on a downed monster and be ready with a guard point when it gets up and roars.
Charge blade is my favorite weapon if you couldn't tell...

Why do I want to charge my shield or sword? When do I use AED vs SAED vs Savage Axe combos? Is charge blade more for cutting tails or knocking out monsters or what? Does my shield being charged affect the strength of my guard? I feel so lost with this guide as a new player.... its so overwhelming!
