I, Felipe Kowalczuk, have received awards from film festivals throughout Brazil for my first short film as a screenwriter and director, "SUB URBANO" (2004), just after finishing my bachelor in Advertising and Communications.
After almost ten years working in the Brazilian media industry, I founded Open Water Films, which co-produced the documentary feature "RAUL" (the second-best performing box office documentary in the Brazilian film industry) distributed via Paramount Pictures.
Filmed in Brazil, Germany, Netherlands and the English Channel, 'Channel Diaries' is my first documentary feature as a screenwriter, director, camera and editor. Its world premiere was on September 2016 during the Festival du Film Sur Le Handicap in Cannes.
I moved to the Isle of Man in 2017, and I have worked as a creative content producer for local businesses and artists.
In 2021, I'm working to establish Open Water Films as one of the leading content producers on the Isle of Man.
Among new projects, I highlight the psychological horror short film 'Heart Carved in Wood' and the documentary feature 'Faster Than Life' (in partnership with CG Aerial Films).
I am continually expanding my knowledge and always ready to work.
