I have watched thousands of videos on YT... Occasionally you come across something really really special.......This is one of those occasions.... Beautifully filmed and edited... Thank you from your newest admirer :-))) xx
What a great video Dani! Real friendships are not bound together by age but by a common interest. The more experienced friend is a library with open doors to the other friend. When time runs out for the library, the doors will close for ever. My best friend is 45 years younger than me & most people just don't get it but that's their problem.
I has seen 2 of Your videos, this one and that of three 4 young squirrels, I love both, the nature the animals, and the tranquillity of You, the nature and of Conny. As a Swede my self, from the southern parts, It is always a joy to see these great areas of forest, without interupption from human activity, I will start to subscribe on Your channel. THANK YOU!
Thank you Dani. Och tack Conny! I grew up in Stockholm, then Göteborg, then UK where I have stayed. The Sweden you talk about is the wild Sweden i really miss. Your photography is photography at its best, ie when photography itself comes a distant second after the subject of nature and the experience of being immersed in it. Beautiful and inspiring.
There is something about your video and the presentation, it transports me to that place at that time. Being a nature lover, and a landscape photographer I can understand how much planning and hard work went behind it. Keep it up Dani.
After watching a first vid last night I was happy to see another one showing up. I totally can relate to why you love what you are doing, and its so beautiful and inspiring to observe 🌎💚🌞
March, 2024, since finding this channel, catching up on several of your videos a day and this one I think must go back towards the beginning of what has become an incredible journey. Northern Sweden is so beautiful, the cliche of "Winter Wonderland". The resident creatures beautiful, and the photography beautiful. I think it is wonderful to be able to have such a dream and make a career following that dream, and helping the creatures we share this planet with as well. Hope you are successful in saving Squirrel Wood".
Dani, you have the right attitude to become a really, really good and extraordinary wildlife photographer. I'll cheer you on as much as I can, and await what else you will manage to come up with in the years to come. Patience is a virtue, and you have loads of it!
Beautiful video, I've been to Finnish Lapland before and been in awe of its beauty, so I can only imagine what it must have been like to live there for a while.
After watching another video here, (breaking my heart) the current trend to kill adult Otters, steal the babies, and the flourishing market to sell them as 'pets', (wrong!! doesn't even cover it, words just can't) .... your video's are mending my heart. This is exactly how we should respect wildlife, and interact with them, as the Red's did with you guys, by choice, patience and love. Thank you. I subscribed to you Dani, can't wait to see more of your work.
The few times I've seen otters only in zoos the are the most amazing animals . Clever friendly and able to stand up to bigger animals than them selves but not humans we ruin everything.
Wow what a friend makes you hope that one day i will find a good friend again its hard to trust people but a few things have given me hope that nice people are out there exspecially since ive started volunteering. Really like your videos
take heart there are plenty of good friends out there......just take care, easy does it, and remember that the predators prey upon the vulnerable among us. best of luck.
I am so happy for you to be able to experience this wonderful experience. The two of you with a vast difference in age, yet able to learn and share. I’m 71y.o., lucky to experience lots, however in the last year discovered wildlife photograph, now my life has slowed, when I hike it is no longer a quest to get from point a to b, now it’s a journey to discover and appreciate as much as I can along the way. Nature is a tough survival for every plant and animal, each is only trying to survive and reproduce.
Gorgeous video, amazing footage wonderful mood (the music, the snow conni talking Swedish), the hides, Squirrels, the eagles , and finally so cool to see conni and you Interacting - I could have watched it for way longer :)
You really make me want to photograph those eagles.... Super Video, very lovely story, fantastic animals and two very cool people. That's some good inspiration and motivation! 😊
I hope and believe biophilia is an emergent characteristic in humanity... and videos like yours can teach it, showing that careful patient witnessing is the basis for loving
Hi Dani , Andrew here in Ottawa Canada, good to see another video from you. A superb video and I sense you have a wonderful future ahead of you. Never give up and follow your passion. Look forward to more content from you. Cheers Andrew
Dani you have a rare spaciousness normally never found in young people. It took me 55years to find mine. This stillness is a doorway you're already using it ☯️
Complimenti per il tuo lavoro di naturalista che ti porterà a viaggiare in tutti luoghi dove esiste la natura selvaggia non contaminata dalla presenza umana. Italy
This is wonderful. Educational, breathtaking, and mesmerizing, calming. Living in a winter wonderland tracking wonderful creatures makes enduring the conditions so much nicer than slogging to and from the city dodging cars on slippery highways and roads.
Nice to hear the Swedish language! I understand most of it. Being Danish helps because the languages are extremely similar. The funny thing is that most Danes only understand about 22% of spoken Swedish, and Swedes only understand about 11% of spoken Danish, so when we interact we tend to resort to English. The reason I understand more is because I've sung a lot of Swedish songs, by Bellman, Wennerberg, Sjöberg, Adolphson and others. I've seen a Kongeørn only once: 6 April 2017. Unfortunately I was at work and had no time to photograph it.
It is amazing how a relationship can build between human and the wild, but it is at least as amazing what happens when Young and Old(ish...;- ) meet each other, with kindness and mutual respect of each other's qualities....
I just discovered your channel today and it's a relief. A relief to see your relationship with animals and nature and Connny, compared to the sea of nonsense on UA-cam :) I can really relate to the whole atmosphere and sensitivity of your videos, thank you. It touches me to see how much patience you have.
Thank you for sharing this. I have not been to Sweden for 40 years, and you have reminded me of how lovely it is in the north. One day, I must visit again. (also, thanks for getting the calendars out before the holidays. My coworkers keep trying to steal the one I brought to work)
You're a very good visual story teller. I saw your viral young Red Squirrel video on Twitter last year, and you follow me, but I'd not checked out your UA-cam channel before, until watching your Red Squirrel video yesterday.
Absolutely stunning! I've been a wildlife videographer / photographer / camera trapper for years and I'm so inspired by Dani's channel. Can you teach an old Dog new tricks ? I'm living proof. Love the tutorials on kit and composition. Never been one for social media sharing unless I've had a few, but maybe it's time this old fart tried to share some of his amazing experiences too. Dani's channel is going to go mainstream one day, 15k to millions of subscribers, it will be well deserved. Best of luck Dani.
I've not seen many great quality wildlife documentaries on youtube thus far, but I can't imagine many, if any, are as superbly done as hers. She doesn't deserve her own youtube channel ... she deserves to have her own show. Watching her documentary of the red squirrel kits reminded me of the US television program "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom" which first aired from 1963 to 1988. Dani's talent's, patience, and maturity far exceed what I would expect from someone so young, and I look forward to following her.

Awesome cinematography, excellent video.
Thanks, Dani.
Having a really good friend much older than you is a wonderful thing.
yes, special indeed, thank you for a pleasant rest from my day ❤

What an amazing experience for you to have such a wonderful person to mentor you.
Amazing beautiful film and photography what an amazing photographer
You are blessed to have a great mentor. I prefer eagles and squirrels over people too. Your subjects are not your quarry but your friends.
