I failed to mention if you read most of the comments everyone wants to know what they need to do or whatever to live there. Says alot about your life. Pure enchanting ❣️
When I was stationed in Iceland, I had just gotten off a late watch (military), the Northern Lights were doing what they do, and I walked into a telephone pole. I had never seen anything so wonderful.
These videos have really taught and showed me alot. Ms. Dani lives a very very privledge life that people that are billionaires could not ever find this kind of happiness and enjoyment. Her Xmas tree was cut down by her and her boyfriend in the forest and decorated with pine cones and animal decorations that was collected and made by her over the years. Such a beautiful life. That people look for all their life. They are living a dream come true. With all the beautiful forest and wildlife. How Majestic!! So do jealous.❣️❣️
Your joy in getting your first accomplished (in your own picky estimation) squirrel shot in weeks is really contagious and put a smile on my face. I really love your nature photography and the unpretentious way in which you tell your stories, Dani. 😊
I'm also living in the Northern Sweden. Even tho' I have been living here all my life I can still see the beauty of the nature and how lucky I am to actually live in such astonish and peaceful place! Great images, keep it up! :)
We also live in Northern Finland, we think the Northern parts of Norway, Sweden and Finland are really beautiful! All the seasons and winter with a lot of snow (and sometimes very cold!) 😊
I am sitting here in my office and start thinking, I have become a sentimental old man. Seeing your footage, seeing the joy you have in what you do and above all, seeing the results makes me wish I was about 40 years younger. I do a lot of photography myself (especially in Sweden, but far more south) and can understand the joy you have. And about being 2out of focus", just be happy that there was no unrepeatable footage.
Wow Dani, those northern lights photos are spectacular. These are amazing videos, I'm watching all of them. I hope almost-spring is cheering you up even though you're probably in Sweden right now, and because you love winter so much. I live in Canada and we had the wimpiest winter ever... 1 real storm 9 inches woo hoo... and like 5 2-inch snows. It would have been good for squirrels but no snowy background. Also it wasn't very cold, so, I love winter but this was one for people who want an extended autumn. I hope you're all doing good, and happy art adventures. -Dave
Welcome to Sweden! Please note that You are not actually allowed to break off twigs or branches off of trees (nor are you permitted to cut down Your own Christmas tree btw). Please enjoy our outdoors :) If you're having troubble finding roe deer then you might want to come down a wee bit further south in the country, we have them plenty. They are as common as dandelions in the southern and middle part of our enlongated country and they are not that shy here either.
It's really amazing how bright it is there in Sweden. I'm over here in Alaska near Denali National Park and we have the sunshine for about 6 hours now, but it's so cloudy nearly everyday that it feels darker than what it should be. I still love winter, as for it's my favorite season of the year. I love all of the snow, sweaters and wintery things.
If you need some help with buying a place in Finland, we live here in Northern part of Finland (well just below Lapland). If you need some help, we can try to help you out with what we can! 😊
Absolutely beautiful video- the cute squirrels in their winter coats, the reindeer and the Northern lights...amazing nature! Thank you for sharing those wonderful moments with us!
It's so rewarding when all your hard work pays off! You've managed to take some of the most endearing footage of these amazing little creatures! And nothing beats the northern lights. I'm dreaming of seeing them one day...
I would love to know about the whole legal process of buying the house, especially as a non-Swedish person. Also how you are able to move to Sweden - I have looked into it many times but it seems so hard since Brexit. 😭 If you are living there as self employed, I would really love to hear more about this, as I am self employed. Wonderful video - the red squirrels are so precious and the northern lights, wow, just stunning! Thanks so much for sharing.
Whatever you do, stay away from the main cities as they have become dangerous multi-culti ghettos over the years. Best to get right out into the wilderness if you can.
Dani, I look forward to all of your videos. The squirrels are so adorable. Your pictures are just wonderful. I feel so happy when I see them. It truly feels like enrichment. Thank you
Hello, love your channel! Questions about the house: - why do you not stack the wood? - why do you store the wood inside and in a perfectly nice finished room? Wouldn't you want to stack the wood outside and cover it with tarp, then construct a lean to for the wood storage. - do the windows have a second pane for winter? Else aren't the windows the source of incoming cold? - how do you get hot water? Is there a water heater? - can you show the bathroom and the shower? Very interested to see. Again, thank you very much for your work. We watch your videos as a family and really enjoy these.
These pictures are beautiful. I always love to come back to Sweden for the nature and quite places. So good to my soul. May I ask which lens do you use? the camouflage one.
Hi from France, I wish you an happy new year and the best for 2022. Thank you so much for this new video and gorgeous pictures. I did receive for christmas your calendar, it has been a great moment for my parents who really loved it, just like me.
Hi Dani, nice to see your bright shining and happy heart and soul by your wide spread smile in your face especially in the first minutes of the video and all the time you talk about squirrels. Thx for all your efforts and allowing us to join to your enthusiam for squirrels and wildlife in general. Squirrels are so cute watching them picking up the scones and going back on the table to eat them in sunlight. Cross fingers for your further adventure with your camera and final success getting more nightshots. Thanks for so wonderfull pics of the northern lights.
Hi Dani, The landscape in the videos you share is so beautiful that, like many other people, I'm tempted to move to Northern Sweden. Some questions for the upcoming Q&A video: 1. Did you get residence before Brexit? Currently, I can't see a way for a British national to stay in Sweden for longer than 90 days. 2. Do you or your boyfriend speak Swedish? If not, are you experiencing any difficulties in communicating with Swedish people or any issues in general in your day to day life? 3. Was Sweden uncontested from the start? Did you look into Northern Norway, Finland or similar areas before moving to Sweden? 4. How is WiFi speed and reliability? 5. Are you able to order anything online to your home? How is the delivery of goods in general (Amazon presence etc.)? 6. Do you have easy and quick access to healthcare? I'd appreciate if you could answer at least some of them. Many thanks in advance.
Hi Danni 🤗 You look so happy, when yo go about your Job, wonderful Video, squirrels look's so cute and the reendier is very impressive, see you next time, lovely greetings from Andreas and Balou 🐕 xx from Lübeck 🐿 💛
Being a huge fan of squirrels, I liked your photos ans videos very much! I love the magic light on your photos. It's a real pleasure to see these cutiest animals in the wild. While watching I had the same childlike smile as yours while taking pictures.🙂 Thanks for sharing these moments!
Absolutely beautiful! I'm just discovering your channel - only 3mins into the video and I'm in love with your content! It's so refreshing to find people who enjoy the small joys of nature that most consider insignificant. I've photographed some Eastern Grey squirrels in Ontario, Canada (where I live) and the pics always make my heart so happy :D
This is the MOST BEAUTIFUL VIDEO EVER 💖 thank you for filming such amazing footage, my heart is filled with joy as my jaw drops in front of such incredible beauty
Hello from the states. Beautiful photography and videography. I really liked your indoor talking head shot as well but the audio is very resonant. A few strategically hung blankets would help dramatically or getting your microphone closer. Keep up the great work and thank you for the content. I am a new subscriber and look forward to your future content.
Have you tried sunflower seeds to attract squirrels? I have also bought a very cheap house in the North of Sweden two years ago and I wanted to feed the birds in order to have something that is alive outside of my window that I could look at and photograph. After a few months the squirrels discovered my birdfeeder and since then I have about 10 of them coming every day. I also tried peanuts and all other kinds of things, but sunflower seeds (the ones that still have the peel on) are the clear winner. You can buy them in 20kg bags almost everywhere.
the lights were so stunning, some looked like angels... thank you for sharing.. your shots are treasures, your patience will benefit you too.. especially chasing the perfect image.. but I loved the northern lights.. and you live amongst it.. wowzer.. Welcome to sweden :) We have lots of wonderful nature that we want to take care of and protect. The possibilities to spend time outdoors, wether it be in the forest, in a lake or somewhere else are great. This is partly because we have a thing called allemansrätten that list what you are allowed to do and not to. Breaking branches/twigs off of trees are not allowed, not even on trees lying on the ground since they are home to different kinds of animals. Cutting down a christmas tree is of course a big no no :) When it comes to hearding reindeer. The only ones that are allowed to own and heard reindeer is the swedish indigenous people, the sami. Hearding reindeer is part of their culture and has been forever. It is also a way for them to make a living, selling pelts and meat.
Only the Sami people are allowed to herd reindeer here in Sweden, I think that goes for all of the Scandinavian countries so that makes it a rather small industry at least. If you want to photograph roe deer you should go further south. They’re everywhere here in the Stockholm region. We have lots of squirrels as well, although maybe not as many in one place. You would be warmer though, haha.
May I suggest you get a IR trail camera with 4G/GSM to watch over your equipment . If its placed so it covers the "deer spot" as well you can get notification (and pictures but probably not the greatest quality) when deer or anything else. It should be also placed so that if its seen whoever sees it knows he/she has been photographed.
Great video Dani! Questions regarding the house: How/where did you find it (online/local etc.) and how expensive is a house like this? How many sqm is it?

Very nice squirrel shots! It takes some preparation stay rather still and functionally warm at -20C temps that you obviously have the hang of : ) In regards to roe deer, I was almost hoping they weren't present that far north for one thing I've always liked when visiting a place in Jämtland is the lack of the springing roe deer warning road signs (they and the roe deer are very much present along the roads in central Sweden). Just like reindeer like to stand on or by the road and graze, seemingly about as quick and sudden as cows, roe deer like to spring up from beside the road and there's never just one and one or several always seem to come running across the road with a couple of seconds of delay following the first one. There's always a slight anticipation when driving at dusk and dawn down here. Pretty animals though. I hope you eventually cameratrap some lynx, speaking of tufts!
My life goal is to buy such a house in sweden in the wild too. Sadly I‘m stuck to studying in Germany. I‘d be interested in the work and costs such a house requires. How is the thermal insulation, heating costs stuff like that.

Love how Dani’s face lights up whenever she talks about squirrels. ❤️
But it’s not just her face 🤣 you can hear her voice change from narrator to little kid...its really funny 😂👍🤙✌️
The clarity & sharpness of the photo is a joy to see.
The snowflakes on her/his whiskers, the colors all wonderful. 😍

The quality of the shot at 5:15 and throughout is breathtaking. The individual hair details visible with the perfect blue sky behind is wonderful.
I was amazed to see the northern lights in Norfolk, in the east of England, one year. Not green but purple. Just had to stop the car and watch.

Hi Dani, and welcome to Sweden. Greate movie and phtos.
Hi Dani,
The landscape in the videos you share is so beautiful that, like many other people, I'm tempted to move to Northern Sweden.
Some questions for the upcoming Q&A video:
I finally found time to watch it and as always I loved it, the Northern lights were spectacular, that perfect photo of the squirrel was adorable.💜🐿
