  • OC - Toms River - Three Alarm Structure Fire - 2298 S Chanticleer Ct
    At about 12 PM this afternoon TRFD got a call for a structure fire with flames showing. First-due Chiefs confirmed the advanced fire conditions. The first engine on the scene was asked to deploy the deck gun. This local community lost power last night due to a fire in the JCPNL Sub Station, everyone had generators outside of their garage. The heavy fire conditions consumed the whole house. Multiple other hand lines were stretched 3065 set up the master stream ops and bucket along with 2865. Crews fought the fire from the defensive position at the start and tried to go inside for a search and were evacuated from the building due to fire conditions. Nobody was inside the home and no civilian injuries were reported. The cause of the Fire is unknown at this time and is under investigation by the Brick Town Fire Safety and County Fire Marshall. No further info at this time.

    Big fire needs big water, big time! Fire generally doubles every 30 seconds. There’s not a second to waste.
    Elevated master streams, deck guns, blitz nozzles immediately; then transition to hand lines for finish the job and mop up.

    Right from the beginning LDH hooked to engine and no one on the deck gun. It may have stopped the garage fire and may have been able to help contain the roof.

      Good evening. You do not have any authority to tell anybody what to say. The comment section is there for just that . Some might like what they see and hear and some might not and the camera does not lie and is recorded for verification and are fully entitled to give there opinion. There is not just one but hundreds of videos where US fire dept. falls short even on the basics . We all want to save lives and property so come on US learn from UK how it is done fast and efficient. Look at all the comments from your fellow countrymen .They only repeat my concerns. Get of your high horse ,see the truth and just admire UK FIRE SERVICE.

    • @ExcrementalDisplay
      @ExcrementalDisplay 11 місяців тому +2

      Kinda. The panels themselves can Crack and cause Hotspots that are at an increased risk of the electricity causing a short and fire. If they're set up by a DIYer who isn't an electrician by trade or extensive hobby, there can be steps where shortcuts are taken, or simple mistakes are made. That again increases risk. Depending on how the homeowner had it set up to invert, to usable electricity. Some people keep a ton of 12v car batteries and keep them filled & rotated. (This is common in some more modern Mennonite communities.) Some like this guy inverted to a generator or used the generator to invert power. If it was outside and like the guy said at the end generator pops, garage door catches and add in solar panels burning...some people just invert it to the power grid. (I'm learning so forgive this awkward response.)

      As for the risk of the solar panels it’s definitely going to ad factor to interior operations and adds weight to the roof and as more fuel for the fire to burn on the roof not sure if you saw in the video, but it always put out a perfect square of the roof where the panels were. They’re just panels, not the batteries and they burn pretty quickly as you see in this video, but it does add more fuel to the fire, which adds more risk.

    😱 wondering if those solar panels are responsible for this fire too?? Here in Sweden 1 out ot 5 fires are related to solar panels.... Or to be right in the information, the lack of an correct installation of them....

      Did not know this. Green is beyond criticism in the USA so if this statistic is true, this would not be publicized by our liberal press.

    • @ExcrementalDisplay
      @ExcrementalDisplay 11 місяців тому

      Is it the panels themselves or the connections to main line power? Or batteries as some dump their solar generated power.

    • @peter-fuppe-fuchs
      @peter-fuppe-fuchs 11 місяців тому

      @@ExcrementalDisplay here it's mostly wrong installation, to connect to the grid, there's a hard regulated process, and it requires, among other safety stuff, a Inverter, and it must be a certified one, the market of free electricity has explored, and sadly, there's a lot of scammer's out there, and also uncertified installers, who doesn't use certified components, and if u r using your produced electricity to store in a battery bank.... There's even more regulated.... Due to the fire hazard....
      What I've experienced is that every component in a solar system can fail and catch/ be the reason for a fire..... As with the electric cars, new techniques, high demand and there's the fire.....

    Good afternoon . Should have called UK fire service. 2 units would have respond followed by tower ladder or cherry picker with more units arriving within minutes fighting fire safely from all angles. All engines know where water supply is and connected within minutes to give continues supply when engine tanks run out. Adjacent buildings would have been protected to avoid spread. Every firefighter knows what there job is and does it, there is no running around or just standing around like headless chickens.

    Why the heck would anybody use a generator in this time of the year. I mean yes we have a generator, but it is located in the power house and not in any of our residential buildings. Besides which, even we do not have Blizzards this time of year. : ) Once upon a time our power house provided electricity to the entire town, but then a utility company came in and nobody wanted to buy our DC power any more : )
