Rem wrote to them about the alliance forged but due to her erasure it came to them as a blank message by the time subaru and the group got back to the territory being met with hostility

I found out about re:zero back when s1 came out or shortly after. And after finding vids recently talking about it, such as this vid, I really do need to watch it as the story seems so beautifully fucked and the multiple timeline shit us part of it.
