Hi Vanessa - Great tutorial; I made one yesterday afternoon for my new mobile phone! Now it'll be protected in my handbag. Thank you!
You are so good at explaining !
I would create a loop on the top so that I could hang it in my purse. I would sew a button inside the lining of my purse to hand it from. I would make it a nice bright color that is easy to find. GREAT tutorial.
Hi Vanessa!,
I just now completed 1 Cell Phone Cozy , for my Samsung Galaxy mobile. I made a slighly smaller pocket on one side , and for d other side i made a matching Tatted Flower . It's come out very well !. Thank U for sharing d Tutorial !
I think I 'll make some as Give away gifts! Bye!.
I have been making these forever! I make a long strap, usually with bias tape so that I wear it around my neck.
oh wow I love this design! I will definitely be making this as a pressie for mothers day!!
I love this tutorial. I've made 2 book cozies/sleeves using this method. First one was a regular paperback size. Then tonight I made one a bit bigger, more for a trade paperback. When I know I'll be waiting somewhere....doctor, dentist, any kind of appointment...LOL ... I pop the book I'm reading in the sleeve then into my purse and it keeps it safe from the disaster that is the purse. And yes, I prefer an old fashioned book to an e-reader. LOL I did watch some of your other tutorials a few months ago. I'm thinking I should find something else to make. You're awesome!
Thank you Vanessa that was a great tutorial as always
You are great! Nice and clear, giving the information we might need. This one I could easily do. Some of the ideas you have I need to pay a lot more attention. I rely on your clear instructions. Thank you.
Very nice tutorial. ..made one for my girlfriend. I added a over the shoulder strap and she loves it.
Real pretty and easy thank you for sharing!! Liz
When I made a cozy for my friend, I went ahead and sewed the elastic loop on before sewing the sides of the outer piece so i didn't have to worry about keeping it in place.
I also sewed on a longer piece of elastic toward the seam so she can attach it to the handle of her purse before dropping it in. I also made it of very bright colors so it's easy to see.
Thank you I have been looking for a pattern for my phone your awesome teacher 😃
Great video. I was looking for an easy tutorial for my son's tablet. This is perfect.
Thank you!!!
You are so awesome.....I have been waiting this. I have a phone wallet design that is done in the hoop....but I wanted one that I could do on my sewing machine. Thank you so much for sharing.
super merci pour toutes vos vidéos :)
Good video. Thought about doing one of these some time back just never did. May have to now. Thanks
so cute!
I love eyeballing it.
Love it, that's so cute!
😊👌true 🥺💕
Thanks for your idea 💡
Thank you for sharing.
Amazing Design love this🥰💞
thanks for the great tips
08/11/20: This was a wonderful and easy tutorial, Vanessa. I know this was done in 2014, but it can't get any easier than this, and I can't wait to try it this afternoon. Thank you!
I totally agree with you. This is so easy and user friendly. Thank You Vanessa !
Great video❤️
loving video
Great video!
te quedó muy lindo!!
Love this!
thanks! Glad to hear it!
This really helped!!!! Perfect 👌 prezzie for my sis!! Thx 😉
A very nice clear instruction video. Well done!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. :)
Loveedddd thiss.. I'm searching such tutorial since ages.. And finally ❤️❤️
Made two each one different. Also I bought new elastic for mine was too thick. Love your instructions even though I have to watch it five times. Keep up the great instructions.
Elastic hair bindys from the dollar tree work great, plus there are different colors and lots of them for only a dollar.
I am incorporating a wrist strap and am entirely sewing my cell phone cozy by using my serger, as my sewing machine was down. I used a flatlock stitch to make the strap hold in the swivel hardware. I did very little hand stitching, so I was surprised my serger could do 98% of the work! Fun project.
I wonder should you do a top stitch around the top when finished? I love this project!
Fab sio easy thanks 😁
I would modify the cell phone closure by using Velcro instead of elastic. I think it would be easier for me :)
I like your videos. I don't have to watch each stitch being made.
Great video. Thank you for sharing. I have to be honest you have been my best sewing instructor and I have a learn alot from watching your videos. Each time someone ask me how did you do that? I tell them. I learn it from my teaching instructor The crafty Gemini. :) I have paid many subscription to learn how to sew and gave up but you have inspire me once more and I have been creating pajamas, pillows and many other things from you.
Watched you and Jenny make the lovely tote bag and rushed right over to your site. You have a new subscriber and fan!! I may be an Older Sewer but you can still teach me a lot, I am sure.
Glad to have ya'! Thanks for commenting and I'm glad to hear you enjoyed our joint tutorial. I'll be posting another tutorial I filmed with Jenny right here on my channel in the coming weeks so stay tuned for that one! :)
It's too easy thank you
wow!!!
I find the wonder clips will slip and prefer pinning 90% of the time. Especially if you're trying to be really precise in sewing exact matching seams etc. I'm a pinner :-]
I love it. So cute. But I don't have a sewing machine. Is it doable by hand? And could I add a shoulder strap in their to make it a little phone purse?
Just made two of them and have a third one to make.
Can you show us how to make a cell phone arm strap thing for when you exercise? I have a few apps I can earn points towards gifts cards and I'd use them more if I had an arm strap for my device. Btw these are super cute. Love the one with the elephant. :D
Great, I have the same Samsung phone!
What iron do you use? Im looking for a mini one and I need some guidelines! Thanks for this awesome tutorial btw
I bought same iron in the regular section at Walmart. I love it.

Question: I love your little pressing board. Did you make this like the one you did in a previous video? I am wanting to make one soon and wondered if you had any new tips or thoughts on making one since the first one. I love, love, love your videos and I hope 2015 is an amazing year for you and your family. Thank you so much!!
Yup! It's the same one like I show how to make in this tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/4d5SQhZ3vmc/v-deo.html
Hello! Thanks for sharing this fun sewing tutorial. Where can we buy the appliqué? Is it washable? Thanks in advance!

Can you do something similar for an ipad??
Yup. Just adjust your measurements. Everything else is the same. I also have a tutorial for an iPad/tablet sleeve that uses velcro: ua-cam.com/video/lbtKAFtiLVc/v-deo.html

Is there a specific type of fabric that needs to be used for the outside? Im worried about choosing something that will melt.
Could you use this technique for an iPad case?
I just subscribe. To your chanel i loved you tutorial i also saw the sewing machine cover.but i want to know if you have made or make a video about small kitchen appliance. Ex: blender toster, coffe maker. Electric. Teapot. Thanks..
do you know anything about the portable singer sewing machine? i'm trying to get it to go in reverse to back stitch any help?
When and where would you sew in clips to make it a little body bag??
does anyone know when doing the calculations for the death do I have to include the thickness of the batting order phone that I place in between?
OMG! Who died? I think they mean the depth!! 🤣😂
i dont have felt we can use other thing like felt what thing should be used plese tell
Where did you get your cute iron and board?
do you need to use batting?? +TheCraftyGemini
+Lynn Carroll You'll need something to give it some body so it doesn't have to be batting... but fusible fleece, some felt, something with some firmness and bulk to it.
Can i know which brand sewing machine do you use plzzz
What is the weight of the interfacing (Pellon #) you use
Could you use two pieces of felt instead of batting
Ty I'd never thought about using felt in place of the batting
Where do I buy the clips you used in this video?
Can u do something for samsung galaxy j4plus mobile
What happened to the heart that you put on there
अगर बनाने का तरीका हिंदी मैं बताये तो अच्छा होगा
That iron box was good. But im from India. Where can we get that mini iron box?
You can make your own ironing box ua-cam.com/video/4d5SQhZ3vmc/v-deo.html
where did you get your tiny iron and iron surface?
This is the mini iron I use: amzn.to/1AtGw8G
and I have a tutorial for the mini ironing board that I made here: ua-cam.com/video/4d5SQhZ3vmc/v-deo.html
I found it a few seconds after posting the question lol ....but i dont have a wooden puzzle (dont have kids lol) and really dont have any wooden thing to use...any suggestions?....I also dont have a staple gun any alternatives?
I have tried this case 3 times now, following the instructions very carefully, but each time the lining pouch seems to be too wide & the seam edges are baggy. Any advice please.
I'm sure it's fine when the phone goes in but it's bugging me a bit.
Thank you
Hi nice smile can you add a pillow so my phone will be more comfy
I'm a Gemini! Xd

I'm a 24 year old male and I'm making one of these, but I'm using a high vis vest SO IM STILL A MAN OK!!
