It's with such music that one realizes that, indeed, Bach is greatest composer. Heaven probably doesn't exist, but yet, we can find the "idea" of heaven in this music.

A Bach sonata for violin and piano does not exist. Believe it or not, Bach knew what he was doing when he wrote his sonatas for violin and obbligato harpsichord. Modern pianos don't cut it. Please think about JSB's intentions when writing for the instruments he was actually familiar with.
F.P.Zimmermann is an incredibly good violinist and musician, but here he completely misses the work. Terrible.
