Have to agree with the others who said "paint it the same as the other one." At this stage in a new business, brand development is hugely important, and having a consistent appearance on all your rolling stock is just as important as a consistent look of the graphics on your letterhead, business cards, invoices, etc. Think about an extreme example - UPS. You can see one of their Transits or Sprinters and KNOW it's UPS, even though it isn't one of their package cars, just from the color. That sort of recognition is gold. Congrats on the growth!
@@colinkulasik1128 there are several very successful trucking companies in our region that have brand recognition because of how nice their trucks are. None of them are the same.

First step, delete the SP switch, and convert the starter to 12 volts. Also, replace the fuel feed hoses to the fuel pump / injection pump. Old lines swell closed and restrict fuel flow. Use 3/8” instead of 1/4” ID hose.
Excellent choice! As far as painting goes, maybe have a contest, let your viewers win a shirt,or something special, and your business gets extra advantages...
Screaming deal! Paint it to match the other truck, so you look like a fleet. It is a fleet now after all! The exterior looks pretty good, and that's all clients will see. Congratulations!
There's definitely something to be said for having a matching fleet. However, on that truck, an old school seminole paint scheme in gray and a darker blue would look amazing
Thats what I'm talking about! 3406A ,old school 13spd. Shift knob! Whats not to love. Had a '72 w/ a 1693 "clatterpillar" years ago . Personally I would incorporate the colors of your truck in to it but with the old kw Seminole paint design. Congratulations on the new addition! Brad from fla.
Hi Dauminique. Congrats on the purchase. I'd like to see the truck painted in the same colors as the other one. I think a fleet should always carry the same livery when possible. Go hard!
Nice ride, no Def BS to deal with on that old truck. Good choice, I vote you incorpate you Beyond Dirt orange into the paint sceam, will look sharp after you get it finished. I ll keep an eye for it...
I wouldn't paint the truck. Looks pretty darn good as it sits. I'd spend the money on the really important stuff. Good luck and best wishes for getting her safe and dependable.
That era W900 is the archetypal American truck, just beautiful. With the Cat engine it should be a good, reliable and profitable addition to the fleet. It will also be a good advertisement for the company, people will notice it. Well done
Congrats on your purchase. I agree with the others, paint it the same colour as the other truck. Uniformity in the growing fleet. Live the video's, can't wait to see how it looks.
Just under $17k for a running, driving truck with some needs isn't a bad deal, really. I'm partial to making it all blue, myself. But that's because it's a sentimental favorite of mine.
I agree with the others, go with a standardized paint color with your logo on the door so it is easily recognizable. I would also try and get rid of the steel wheels that it has on it at least on the wheels that can be seen so it looks good and can give a good impression to everyone on the road that might see it that it might be older but it is well taken care of.
Gray Silver bullet oh yes that’s is what we are used to with your other truck that all need to be same color gray Silver bullets , gun metal gray whatever , as long as it stays the same , I picture 50 gray dump trucks with Beyond dirt on the side of them kool thanks BigAl California
Best of luck with the new truck (BD-2)!!! That truck is totally awesome!!! A TRUE mechanic's truck. Can't wait to see what you guys do with it. Hope you paint it just like BD-1, it can be your signature color. Is Bobby going to pull a pup with it too?
Congrats! A models are becoming more collectable all the time, and it looks like you got one that will turn out to be a head turner! I'd go back to single pixie lights on the fenders when you paint it, but then I'm a purist!! Happy for ya!
Congrats on the 2nd truck , can't wait to see it when it's ready to start working ! The paint should be the same as your truck ( and PLEASE get rid of those ugly red seats ! ) and still maybe a little early but my suggestion for the name is : Money Honey . Lol at the rate you're going you'll have your little helper going in his own truck before you know it .
My Da had a 77 W900A model that he added a 36" sleeper, and then he redid the headlights to Square Lights. The Greeley Kenworth guys and Tri-State Commodities guys were drooling on the Fiberglass job he did which was shy of perfection.
An absolute beautiful dump truck. I think you have stay vintage with the color. I love that it’s a smoker too. Nothing like shifting through the gears and seeing black and gray smoke from the stacks. Dual stacks would be awesome as well. Congratulations on the truck look 👀 forward to seeing it come to life.
Hello guys, Congratulations on the purchase to grow the business. I would have to agree with others on keeping the color scheme the same, recognition is a key part of the game. I'll be standing by for a update video

I like it!! My suggestion is to paint the new truck similar to your existing truck so thst your company is easily recognized. Congratulations to you both.
Grey is ONLY for two things: military aircraft and warships (actually pink is more effective camouflage on the ocean and in the desert). I really like the blue, but do something unique. Put a small wing on the roof and use a tapered paint scheme to mimic a top fuel funny car, you could add a small set of wheelie bars at the rear . It looks like you have a future partner. Your son was finding hand holds on the Alcoa front wheel and the bumper.
Tach-O-Graph on that dash!!! Boy, it's been a minute since I've seen one of those!!! Why don't you paint it the same color scheme as your other truck? If it's "joining the fleet," you might as well establish some "branding." 👍👍👍

Truck looks great! You made a smart move lady, glad you got it. I have a friend 2 miles from me that has that early model....working every day hauling road base and asphalt.
Denmark says hello. Awesome truck. I just love the classic bullnose Peterbilt´s or Kenworth´s from the 1970s and 80s. Bobby should paint it like a 1970s black/gold Pontiac Trans Am Firebird, with gold pinstriping but without the screaming eagles, or UPS brown with a lot of gold flakes in the paint. and dont forget to replace those rims and tires
Also, replace as much of the wiring as you can. One big problem with old trucks is the grounding. The wiring gets brittle and cracks develop.
