Late 1970s, Uncle Dick worked for Leach Trucking in Bridgeport, MI. Dad and I stopped to visit him at their shop one Saturday morning and in the lot was a new/used double bunk KW COE, A rare sight in our area back then. Uncle Dick had to go down to the Vlasic Pickle plant a few miles up the Dixie Highway and invited us along. We all hopped in the shiny, new KW. I rode in the bunk. I remember it like it was yesterday. 425 Cat, 13 speed, 4.11 rears., brown VIT interior. Uncle Dick said it was everyone’s favorite truck because it would do 75=80 mph without breaking a sweat. The rest of the fleet at the time consisted of mid-70s COE White Freightliners, glitter knobs and steering wheels. Gorgeous trucks in their own right.
That truck is absolutely magnificent. Everything about it is beautiful. That steering wheel is unreal along with the dashboard. The 108 inch cab too. Thank you Miss Red that was one of your best videos. Bruce in Wv!!!

She got a ton of LABOR of LOVE, now lets put some miles and dirt on a girl, lets make her war hard for the money so You better do her right and wash after every use....girl can not wait to make some big $$$$$, she is not gonna be happy if You put her in to a shadow of garage space, no no no, she need to roll baby...and what a great video Miss Flatbed Red. Let’s get serious for a minute. Are these trucks even insurable by insurance agencies? Can they legally be used used to haul since they do not have DEF systems or ELD? Or are they simply museum pieces at this point and show trucks?
The owners wouldn’t be driving around a quarter million dollar piece of equipment if it couldn’t be insured. Many of the older trucks I share are more reliable than new ones. Yes they can be legally used because none of that existed when they were built.

Very nice 😊
That is beautiful! I've always wanted to restore one of those but haven't been able to justify the cost.
If you restore an old vehicle, that’s not one of the parts of the justification math to do it!
Double overdrive and 355's. That thing flies

I got a stupid question @missflatbedred why did trucks have passenger seats
Team driving is the first answer that comes to mind.
@@MissFlatbedRed what’s team driving

Disgusting :) only because I can’t drive it .
Reminds me of my 352 but a whole lot nicer.
