- Scottsdale Fashion Square is a luxury shopping mall located in Scottsdale, Arizona. It is one of the largest malls in the Southwest United States and features a wide range of high-end retailers and popular brands. The mall recently underwent a complete remodel. Some of the prominent stores include Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and many others.

Love Scottsdale and this mall
This mall is the best thing about Arizona!
I used to work near here. My workmates and I used to go here for lunch. They used to have a Sbarro's pizza here and they sold by the slice so it's a nice, quick stop.
We used to nickname this "The Silicone Mall" because of all the high-end ladies that shopped there.
This is a great mall and Scottsdale is incredible.
Thank you for the tour and the memories. The one and only time I visited this mall was about 35 years ago. I remember quite well the Neiman Marcus at that time, circa 1987. The renovation looks great!
Nice to see FSM is still there. When I left Phoenix in 99 they were renovating it then, guess they do it every 25 yrs or so.
I have lived here for more than 7 yrs and I never knew this place existed. It would be nice to visit especially in the heat of the summer when I want to do my walkies. I have never been in a covered mall for a long, long time! Thank you for posting.
My pleasure!
Nice Mall, Chris. Made me fell so relaxed walking through it.
Awesome Mark!
What a trip. I worked here in 2001/2002 when I was 21/22. Haven’t been back since.
Glad to bring back some memories 😀
_Actually a really nice place to shop for high-end retail, with a decent food court. Living in Scottsdale year-round while planning shopping excursions with family is always a joy. (Weekends and holidays find Scottsdale Fashion Square incredibly busy). I've been shopping here since the mid 1990's, and really enjoy one of Scottdale's premier addresses._
Great video Chris.. The new Caesars Republic is actually just a small high-end hotel and not a casino. It is one of the first Caesar's hotels not to have a casino. The hotel is located really close to the mall making it a pretty easy walk.
My son loves that Journeys store for sneakers! Looks like a great mall!
Scottsdale Fashion Square was three separate malls that were merged in the early 90’s. That is why there are odd, multilayered levels. One wing crosses over Cameback Road to the south to connect to what was originally a strip mall. The West wing crosses over Goldwater Blvd. (named after Senator Barry Goldwater- who also had a luxury store in the East end of the original Scottsdale Fashion Square.) The mall on the west end was Camelview Mall. The original Scottsdale Fashion Square was an open-air concept.
Tanks for sharing your fabulous and amazing video ❤ I will come in phoenix really appreciate it
A little disappointed you were in my neighborhood and didn’t stop and say hello. 😂
Nice to see a mall with many stores that are OPEN. When i see some current Videos from San Francisco or certain parts of L.A. it's sad to see that almost every stores closes .Greetings from Berlin
What would u do with that if malls are closed or open?
I love the layout of that mall with the T section at the food court where it branches off. I feel like no mall is complete without a lego store though. Chris, have you been the West Field Valley Fair in San Jose? Imo, one of the best malls I've been to (if not the best).
Valley Fair is a pretty good mall
The glass skylights slid open up, but they don't do it anymore due to the birds getting trapped in the mall. Back in the day they used to open it all the time in spring and fall. I worked there years ago and it is close to my home here in Scottsdale, so I go shopping there all the time.
Ah. Interesting factoid
I like malls that blend luxury stores with everyday mall stores. This reminds me of Valley Fair in San Jose, or Fashion Show mall in Las Vegas!
I don’t know how you can get through there in 20 minutes, takes me 1/2 a day, all day if I go with the wife! 😂
Hah
Thanks for showing it! I don't even know that there is a fashion square mall there in Scottsdale, Phoenix AZ 😅
That's right! And the European Metro offers! I love it! Some ways to get travel discounts! Who doesn't like benefits!❤
Love this walk through on the mall. I gotta go back to Arizona to check it out
that mall is huge!
Parts of it looks and feels like a super luxury shopping center, while curiously enough the rest reminds me of an outlet mall.
Thanks for the tour, Chris.
P.S. Thanks also for reminding me that California has a 5 Syllable Count. :)
The third floor definitely has outlet - pop up shop vibes.
Hi Chris. Thanks for the walking tour of the mall .It's a huge mall for sure. The broken escalators reminds me of Vegas. LOL. Glad you didn't have any incidents with the escalators. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Yeah. Vegas' escalators are ALWAYS broken it seems
❤ your vids, Chris. Glad you went to my home state. 🌵🌵🌵
Thanks Pete!
Definitely makes me nostalgic for the days when malls ruled the world, before technology really took over and brought on the age of Amazon. It was definitely an age of innocence back then, even not that long ago really…
Many thanks Chris.
Great video Chris! Thanks for the tour :) YP4L!
Thanks Dommy!
My neighborhood mall. Walking thru it reminds me of how wise it was to leave the Portland area which could never support an elegant mall like Fashion Square. Particularly with their prevalent shoplifting and theft problems.
Awww good old Fashion Square…I worked here at the Warner Brothers Studio Store circa 1999. I don’t think I’ve been back anytime since….not really worth the drive for me 😂
Great video thanks
I love going here with friends but things get crazy when we don’t have enough money to buy a water
I didn't see any hot topic or anime store or arcade. Probably a mall I won't visit. Hopefully your next mall tour will have one and request some footage of the DDR machine if they have it :)
I'm always on the lookout for DDR!
AZ Mills outlet mall is the one for you.
Scottsdale Fashion does have a Japanese Store that has quite a bit of Pokemon and Anime... No Arcade though! I miss going to every mall that I can find to explore the arcade. The closest mall with an Arcade is Arizona Mills in Tempe. They have Tilted Studios which has DDR.
It did not! It's still good.
Lots of foreigners and tourists shopping definitely. Especially around the holidays. I worked there in my high school days.
Chandler fashion square and Scottsdale fashion square are the only really surviving malls here. I always wonder how long they’ll last. Maybe the rich people will keep it afloat because all of the normal people malls died 😂
I tried to make a video of the store and property, but after 5 minutes was asked to leave by security and pd. I asked to speak to a rep for permission and was told no such person process exists.I’m wondering how you managed to record?
Looks better than San Francisco / bayarea malls
Is this bigger than Scottsdale Quarter/Kierland Commons or Biltmore Fashion Park?
Yes it is
US malls are spread out. Asian malls are built up.
@kanye don’t drop BULLY drop YEEZUS II

Apparently Forever 21 is NO LONGER taking the Fast fashion world by storm as they’ve filed for Chapter 11 and all of the San Diego stores suddenly closed last month (not sure about all of the others )
Ah.. bummer for them
Snobsdale
Malls are a dying trend through out the country, I'm afraid. :(
Amber??crombie haha

Well done :)
SnobsDale's Finest
So empty !
looks like a graveyard
Late at night on a weekday.. yeah
Arizona is a horrible place to live. Phoenix has high levels of drugs and crime and the state is way to hot to go outside even if you have a pool.
Phoenix may have a high crime rate but the suburbs are relatively low. The heat is only bad from June to September and only during the late afternoon and evenings. I walk year-round usually after 9pm. Mornings and early afternoons are great, even during the hottest times of the year. You just have to learn when to stay inside.
@@BillGreenAZ I've been to AZ multiple times amd considered moving there. Its in the 90s now and is 90 degrees and hotter majority of the year. Drugs and crime ate selling into the suburbs which is higher to live in than 8 years ago. It's so hot there are very few options for entertainment especially with children unless you enjoy the indoors. Even after 9pm its uncomfortably hot outside especially in summer. Working outside is impossible. If you want a dog or cat it has to stay inside which is horrible to keep kids and animals inside majority of thier lives. Kids can't play sports comfortably or play. Thats great you enjoy AZ but majority of people do not want to live in those conditions they do it for cheaper cost of living or like many people I know can't live independently so they move for help from family.
If you live in South Phoenix or the West Side, sure. But Chandler, Gilbert, North Phoenix, Tempe and Scottsdale (especially North Scottsdale & PV) are very safe. The weather is actually a plus in my opinion, you get beautiful weather half the year, and yeah while it does get very hot in the summer, literally every building has air conditioning.
@@billargueta5458 It's warm now but I'd actually still consider it nice here, just walked my dog this morning. I was born and raised here so what I consider "hot" and what you and other out of towners consider "hot" are probably drastically different. Also there are tons of activities for kids and pets. There are lots of "Ice Dens" around where kids can play hockey and ice skate, as well as indoor stuff like malls, arcades, movie theaters, etc. As well as tons of hiking and golfing.
@@billargueta5458 yeah, if you feel it's too hot then it's not for you.
malls are not a viable form of retail at this time. It will go under in 3 years
I wasn’t impressed by this mall. Not worth it, boring 🥱. Luxury shops are so small. The service sucks.
Great video Chris.. The new Caesars Republic is actually just a small high-end hotel and not a casino. It is one of the first Caesar's hotels not to have a casino. The hotel is located really close to the mall making it a pretty easy walk.
Ah. Thanks for that background on the Caesars Republic!
