That's a lovely little yacht, nice finishes and nice space, was surprised when you said there were 3 cabins below deck. As always Nick a great tour, thank you.
I like the +100ft tours but I love seeing the smaller stuff. I think it's because I can genuinely imagine what it'd be like owning one of these and enjoying it with friends and family
Super cool boat, amazing layout, 3 cabins that didn't feel cramped plus two full heads is just incredible!! Perhaps not the most eye-catching boat but with outboards and that setup its low maintenance and awesome value, great work as always Nick!!
3 cabins and 2 heads! In a 41'2" yacht! I like the modularity of the second and third cabin, being able to separate beds for kids, as well as having a double-bed for couples.
Hi Nick, And thank you for this very nice show of this Merry Fisher 1295 from Jeanneau the biggest of there range and this one with a fly bridge and you see them more and more outboards these days. I like to see them more with the inboards but that is what I prefure 3 cabins 2 heads the guest head is bigger then i expected great Thanks again Nick a great show ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Lovely. So glad you show us these. A used Merry Fisher in good shape is in my price range. You could spend years noodling around the US Eastern internal and coastal waterways. Thanks so much. I'd love to see another round of your older affordable boats. Granted you won't find a Broom here is the US. There is a nice Ocean 38 in Kent, which is a long way from New York.
Not my sort of boat, but the amount of usable space inside and below is absolutely amazing for a 40 footer. Separate showers too, amazing. Great tour Nick, as ever. thank you. 👍👍👍.
That was a pretty well laid out and equipped ship.A good fishing /touring boat.Good for weekend with the family, or friends.Throw a generator in the lazrette, and you could keep a couple out for a week. The only limiter would be tank storage and fresh water.I want one.
Hello NIck! i didn't realize you had already posted this one. I am thankful. Please accept my apologies for cursing you under my breath. Keep up the good work
I love the interior . I have 2 girls who are very competitive. The two guest quarters are almost identical. So my girls won't fight over who gets the real nice bedroom. I wish more builders would consider this idea. If I get to be able to buy such a nice boat that will seal the deal
Outstanding tour again Nick around an outstanding little boat. Lot for the money and nice powertrains as well. bet that will suit the UK market quite nicely 😎😎
When my parents had boats in the 60s and 70s I don’t recall depreciation or out of style or outdated electronics being a factor. If though you bought this mass production boat what would you lose in 10 years ownership. Accepting this really illustrates the new wealth of European countries.
Great tour of an interesting boat. Plenty to like about it for the money, although being built to a price point and mass produced did show in places I thought.
You can never have to much storage on a boat! 😂 I wouldn't mind traveling a few days on this vessel. The outboard power makes for easy maintenance especially in salt water!
Given the cost of most boats you show, this is a lot of bang for the money. 3 cabins 2 heads with separate showers, a lovely flybridge, tons and tons of storage. I love the foredeck really comfortable. The drop sides means you have swim platforms. I would get rid of that tiny TV, get a drop down one from the roof. Can you fit a generator I wonder and have it all electric, plus can you have fin stabilisers fitted.
you should check out the Antares 12. Sister boat for this, but fixed a lot of little things since the Antares 12 was designed after this one. Much better layout actually, bigger showers, better flybridge layout, more headroom in the staterooms, TV location is better. I saw them both at FLIBS, like the Antares 12 much better.
Half a mill is a bit more than pocket change, but you do seem to get a lot of boat for your money with this one. Great tour as always maestro, keep 'em coming to get us Brits through this cold spell :)
Great video tour as usual, Nick! Appreciate it. I am curious as to your opinion on outboards vs the diesel inboard engines? Are outboards gaining traction in the UK?
Nick, between the two of us, we've really trained my brain to release dopamine when I fire up the YT machine and see an Aquaholic video has been posted. :)
Lovely boat though I’d prefer a safer diesel inboard version. A leaking diesel line in a hot climate is preferred to similar petrol seepage . Thanks for sharing Nick.
I prefer this to the Antares 12, as both showers are seperate to the toilet and also like the forward sunbathing area more than the Antares 12.🙂 Looking forward to seeing the Sedan version which should be cheaper!
@aquaholic now that you've seen the MF1295 as well as the Antares 12, what do you think? They are sister ships (share a lot design) but I believe the Antares 12 is a bit newer. Curious what you think!
I have been watching your channel for some time now and saw the cruise ship in the back ground, ever thought of doing a boat tour of one of them maybe a week long video??
The new Antares 12 is actually 1 foot longer than the 1295 because Beneteau added a gangway between the motors so the rear seat doesn't have to move forward in the cockpit. In the US at least, it's also cheaper since it comes with more standard options and can be had with 2 V10's instead of 3 V8's. The interior salon is raised a hair so you have more headroom in the lower staterooms, the showers are larger, you have en-suite access to the day head from the lower stateroom, and the layout of the flybridge is re-designed for more seating room. I was able to tour both boats at flibs and the Antares 12, IMO, takes everything that's great about this boat and fixes a bunch of little things. I preferred the Antares 12 by a wide margin.
@@Nezzer57 Yeah but your comment is wrong. There is no opinion. LOA on the 1295 is 12.56M and the Antares 12 is 12.97M - that means the 1295 is actually 1.5 feet SHORTER than the Antares 12.
@albertpenello The bost review you're commenting on disagrees with you... Boat manufacturers aren't known for being shy about the length of their boats... lol
I know this boat the Merry Fisher,1295 and the "BENETEAU Antares 12 basically almost the same boat but I like the "BENETEAU Antares a lot better I just love the layout
I toured both boats and the Antares 12 is better in almost every way. This boat is AWESOME, but since the Antares 12 was designed second, almost every little nit on this boat is fixed on the Antares 12. Better bow pad, better flybridge layout, more headroom in the cabins, larger showers, and they put a hi/lo TV in the right place so everyone can see it. The also added 1ft to the boat so you have a gangway in front of the motors and you don't have to move the cockpit seat to raise the engines!
It would be good to see diesel outboards being offered. For those venturing beyond the boating hotspots, diesel is more realistic. Diesel outboards are well used in defence roles .
I don't know if it is possible for you comment on, but some of the details you zoom in on, it feels like the quality is marginally less than on some other (more expensive) yachts. Is this something more noticeable when you actually are on it and feel cabinets and such? I mean, i understand they have to cut corners somewhere at this pricerange, i'm just curious if this is as obvious as the video makes it seem to be, or does it feel the same as any other in this size/range. Once again, great video, thx Nick!
I was able to tour both this and the Antares 12 (sister ship) at FLIBS. I have an Antares 11 and had an Antares 9 before that. I think the thing is that they just keep things simple to keep the costs down. I don't feel like the boat itself is cheaply built, they just don't have quite the same details and finishes. It's a bit more workmanlike if that make sense. For me, it also means less stuff to break. One example is that a lot of the more expensive yachts in this size don't have any exposed fiberglass inside. All the interior panels are covered, where inside this boat there the walls will still be just fiberglass gelcoat. But for sure, the way you get this much boat for so little money is that they are just less adorned then more expensive boats, but I think they do it smartly which is why they are great value for the money.
No the Antares and Merry Fisher / NC boats are all outboard. Prestige is the companies inboard powerboat brand. One thing to consider is that since these boats are designed to be outboard power, they have much more interior space then a boat at the same size with inboards.
Such sprawling accommodations for a 40 foot boat. I would be interested in the fuel economy improvement with twin diesel outboards instead of the three gas engines.
Really like the boat, but paying half a million pounds to get a split matras in the owners cabin ? Probably storage under the bed but still there should be better solutions in that price range
@@marspp Correct, and they often have the ability to just run on one. The reason for two levers is so that, when manoeuvring, you can run one side ahead and the other astern to spin the boat.
This yacht has a well thought lower deck. And everywhere it seems you'd need them there are cup holders. The TV location is what I will in future refer to at the Idiot TV Placement. Because only two, perhaps three, persons could watch it without suffering severe neck strain. Why was it so difficult to locate it at eye level across from the salon/dining seating? If you're going to bother including a TV please try to put it in a useful location. Climbing a ladder instead of walking up steps to get to the fly bridge is a bummer. Fly bridge grill (not griddle), sink, fridge, and functional helm are all great. Great layout and a lot of performance with ease of care from the outboard engines!

After the Cranchi Eco Trawler 43 was discontinued, this is probably the best "two equal sized guest cabins for your fighting teenage kids" layout. :D
We looked round this one a few days after you! My son’s favourite of the show!
Awesome!
Amazing designs nowadays!! I lived on a 32 and a 38. No room like today. WOW. Thanks Nick😊

What a fantastic boat. It would make a great first venture into boating. Thanks Nick

I can't understand how they fit all this in such a small boat. It's almost like that magical tent in Harry Potter 😂
Amazing one. Actually fell in love with it.
I'd love to see a walk through of the craft on the starboard side. It looks practical.
this actually looks like a decent boat worth the price. unlike most the others out there.

Good alternative to a Swift Trawler 41 Fly! Probably not as good in rough sees but you get the speed as a tradeoff
Totally different boats. If you were cross shopping those too you don’t yet know what sort of boat you want

Cool motor yacht. When do we get the tour of the big Blue boat? (19:38). LOL
No generator or watermaker? Engine option? Love the videos!
