    A heck of a boat for the price. Personally I'd prefer inboard Diesel. 1200 litres of petrol sloshing about makes me a bit tetchy. A great review by the way. Well edited, you didn't take a breath once through the review. 😄

    That is the best laid out set of double cabins I've seen in a compact cruiser. Usually cabin 3 is much more compact than cabin 2, but in this case they are nearly evenly laid out, creating more room for both. I love the layout of the entire boat.
    Great video!

    I'm playing the game of "what would be my first boat" game a lot and the MF1095/1295 is high up on the list. Only beaten by the recently axed Cranchi Eco Trawler 43. They are not comparable in their markets, only by living area, but it's a very theoretical game anyways :D Great video!

    I had a Merry Fisher 795 which was an incredible boat for its size and very capable in rough seas however, this is on another level and very nice indeed.

    Do the curtains not slide all the way over? I'm zhocked that Alex found a 'dayboat' that he actually liked somewhat. Definitely not a Nordic boat and for him to like it....that's something. Plus all the cabins...amazing

    Considering the price, seems like quite a lot of boat. Maybe not the fit and finish you may want, but you are not paying for that, also. Seems to be just fine for those that don't want, or cannot, pay a million plus and really are more occasional users of their boat.

    A very cheaply made boat for non boaters in my view. Look at some of the awful finishing of the seat cushions etc.. I’d also like to see that boat in a head sea it’s not going to have enough torque to handle rougher weather when you need to run at a slow plane, it will keep falling off and need heaps of throttle to get back up. And that’s before you consider how full in the bow it is. Even the chine slap was incredible when he was showing the forward accommodation.

    • @guinnessharvey4476
      @guinnessharvey4476 11 місяців тому

      Jeanneau don’t make bad boats. They’re well put together and they’ll handle a decent chop just fine:)

      It’s screaming for another 300,000 thousand. 3-500, 2-600 mercurys, automatic blinds, vinyl…..

    • @morri03
      @morri03 11 місяців тому +1

      @@guinnessharvey4476 I didn’t say it was bad I said it was cheaply made. All that MDF, poorly finished furnishings, use of outboards is obviously a polarising choice and beam forward necessarily impacts sea keeping. I get it, it’s a day boat, weekender where you don’t go far and pick your days but that’s not the kind of boat for many people.

    • @alcapony4935

      @@morri03Maybe, but for the price, find one better or equal! A lot of people don’t have an extra £300.000+ to spend on better upholstery. I think they’ve done quite a good job at this price.

  • @skinny1968

    Outboards don't belong on a cruiser. Swimming is so dangerous around all those props legs etc. Not to mention loss of the swim platform.

  • @mvcharisma

    Jeanneau’s are just like Bayliners and Sea Rays. They’re all built cheaply with low quality materials and fitment. It’s better to buy a high quality used boat, not something that’s built down to a price

    • @opmacace523
      @opmacace523 9 місяців тому +5

      Yes they are built to a price but as long as the hull is decently designed this would be a better choice than some old boats with leaking issues

      Do you actually own a boat?
      Have you owned and operated any of the brands you mentioned? If not, you aren’t qualified to make a statement you can’t back up. My family and I have owned all three and have owned ‘quality’ used boat brands. All have their place, if you want a new boat, these brands offer a lot for your money (boats are never ‘value for money’) as are used boats, all have their pros & cons.
      New boats now offer really good warranties which can give comfort if anything should go wrong, used boats need a high quality survey to identify potential issues and costs, they will cost money to maintain and repair, boats live in a hostile environment…

    Is it just me or does anyone else feel like watching the test drive portions absolutely useless? I don't see a point. It's boring and I know they want to explain how it handles, but unless you are on the boat, you don't really know how you'll like the ride. So show me the yacht, give me your impression and the layout options. All I need really.
