I found a baby screech owl 15 years ago it was in the middle of a dirt road with black birds attacking it, came warden said do what you can because we have no one that can take it in our county...I fed him/her tiny pieces of raw meat and let him/her go when able to fly and I believe that baby is still around our property
Many years ago a young boy caught an Owl. He had it for several days. I was able to get him to give me the OWL 🦉 The young.. boy/man 😊 said he could not get it to eat. My husband went and dispatched a rabbit. He cleaned it and brought it to me. The owl gave it a glance and then it caught the scent of the very fresh meat. He grabbed the slice meat and in a few days he was able to fly away. 😊❤😊
With you under the weather trying to help that beautiful winged creature, it sure brought a kid in awe type moment in your eyes when you were holding the owl. Job well done Daniel! Glad you're on the mend!
Owls are a predator but you sure will get a stiff fine n jail time if u get caught killing one..in WV that is..glad it's getting help n you are feeling some better ❤
You did mention make me smile.you saved and got the a wild owl care and you finally took care of you.i love owls.and animals and you all love and show respect.god blessings upon you ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Rosie
So did I back in the 80's. Was in the highway. Caught it and put in floorboard of my old 72 corolla and it just stayed calm. Took it to a rehab lady. It had been stunned by being struck by a vehicle evidently but no broken bones.
We had a pro come to rescue a wounded young red shouldered hawk. Someone shot it in the thigh with a BB gun. As it tried to get away it flew into our house and broke a wing. The rescuer took it to the Audubon Society. They worked hard to heal it. They called to tell me they'd be bringing it to my property to release it. Sadly, that night it began plucking out its chest feathers, which is a sign of stress. It had a heart attack and died about 12 hours before it was to be set free. All because some jerk aimed at a beautiful bird.
I don’t know why…but owls just seem noble to me. And it was quite noble of you to try and get him some help. Please keep us updated and if you are able to release him…well I hope you’ll film that for us! It’s just plain miserable getting sick. But I’m so happy to hear you’re doing better! I’d say that I would say a little prayer for you and I can still do that, but I’m sure you’re well by now! Thanks for being such an upstanding guy, Daniel! And thank you to DeJay for driving you! Many blessings to the Arms family
Daniel, good on ya - especially considering how lousy you were feeling..... I bet in a sense this made you feel at least a little bit better for the day (easy for us to say!). Anyway, always great to help an injured critter.
Owls are beautiful birds. Thank you Daniel for helping the owl. I love them even though they are predators. God bless, I will be praying for you to get well. ❤🙏❤🙏❤🙏
Keep us updated on the condition and rehabilitation of the owl. That is one very majestic creature. Hopefully, the rescue will be able to return it to its former glory.
I hope your cleaning up in the body will be over soon. And wow, the owl rescue while you are also weak. The owl stands for wisdom. You deserve this meeting with wisdom Daniel. Its an honour. Thanks for sharing.
When I saw how bad you looked all I could think is, hot shower, hot soup, and go to bed. Bless you for rescuing that beautiful owl❤❤. Oh my goodness how wonderful ❤
Way to go Daniel! Owls also hunt mice and rats so they do serve a good purpose. They are beautiful to listen to when they talk back and forth to one another over distances. Glad your feeling better. A lot of people this winter got the same symptoms, whatever it is this year its nasty. You have a good day and get lots of rest. ❤
I raised a Raven, she chose to stay around and is never caged, clipped or tethered. I started a UA-cam channel if anyone is interested in some of our interactions. Experience and Blessing of my lifetime!
We raised a baby orphaned owl. He was free to fly away 4 years ago. He has become a friend and.hangs around our home and flies up to us often. His name is Buster.
Thank you for rescuing the owl, saving its life. Owls keep the rodent and rabbit population down. They have their place,,,,as do all animals. Glad to see you feeling better as you did in the last few minutes. You sounded better. Hope no one else has caught that miserable cold/flu.
Daniel, that is an awesome owl! At the end, explaining about when it recovers, to be released back where it was found, I immediately thought that owl will now be a spirit animal to you. I am sure you and that owl will meet often in the future!
My husband & I have this junk too & it's not nice!! Hard to do chores when ya don't feel good, but chores have to do!! Get better soon, Daniel & hope ya don't pass it around to the family. I caught mine from the hubby... Thank You for rescuing the OWL, hope he does much better soon & see him released there too!! WTG, Daniel!! GREAT JOB!! God Bless Arms Family Homestead
Thank for the Owl Rescue. Poor guy needed some help! I have rescued an Owl myself years ago. He had a broke wing. Got it up to KU & the vets were able to fix its wing. Then it went to rehab for flying rehab & released. I was very happy it was a success story. ❤ Hope your Owl will recover. Please keep us updated!:
What a gorgeous creature. Thank you for saving its life. Hopefully it will continue to heal and you can help release him back on your property. Great job Daniel! Feel better soon and thanks for the smiles.
Good job, Daniel. Hope you feel better. Even though it is a preditor, you still have a heart for animals. Thanks for going to the proper channels to take care of the injured animal instead of killing it. Thanks again. Thank Dejay for taking you.
You looked pretty beat up but much better by the end update! Thank you for helping that owl. Predator or not, still a living, breathing being. Prayers you both are up and running very soon!
Owls are beautiful amazing birds. I've always admired how God created them. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Thanks for getting the owl to a rescue place
Thank you Daniel for doing so much to save that beautiful owl!!! Especially when you were so very sick!! What a great thing you did! Prayers for your continued healing 🙏💙 ~Janice
The rescue of an owl was very intriguing. Yes, owls are important. Back in the mid 90s we were stationed at Ft. Sill when some type of disease wiped out a significant portion of the predatory birds in the area. We lived on base and were overrun by mice. The mice got in our storage and YUCKY. I, for one, know the importance of keeping nature in balance. Love the channel and God bless your family.🎶💐💖
You made someone smile today, actually laugh. My wife really liked your man flu comment. She thinks when I get sick I act like it's way worse then the she acts when she gets sick. Thirty some years ago I caught a Great Horned Owl that was injured. This brought back memories about that owl. They told us the same thing about releasing the owl close to were it was caught. We did get to release the owl that I caught. Hoping for good outcome for the owl you caught and video showing the owl being released.
My admiration goes out to you Daniel for rescuing this owl even when you are sick. I think it is exciting that it will be released on your property when it is back to good health. 🙏🙏🙏Prayers raised that you will be back to good health real soon.🤗🤗💞💞💙💙🦉🦉
God bless you Daniel for your compassionate heart in seeking help for His precious creature, as well as how you care for the animals on your homestead and your family too! We are viewers of Doss family channels and All Creatures Farm and Rescue channel, and thought of them with regard to getting help for the owl as they have done rescues on many injured animals including owls..glad you were able to find someone local to assist! Blessings and prayers for you and your family 🙏♥️ (Jimmy B.)
I caught a Great Horned owl in my back yard in the early 1980's. Brought him inside, out of the cold , He stayed in a large carboard box for about 30 hrs. He flew away and seemed to be fine. He was a very large bird with a very large beak. Yes I know not to capture a raptor.
Seeing your efforts with the owl was heart warming. Hearing that the owl was improving, as are you, brought a smile to my face. It may not have changed the world, but it improved my day! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ And it was on a day I needed it.
Cameraman Ron is one happy guy watching you rescue the owl and making us all smile, Daniel. You looked a lot better at the end of the video, so it looks like you and the owl are going to survive! ;-) Glad you picked up the Freeze Mizer. Not sure if it was from my comment or not, but I hope it works for you.
What a once in a lifetime experience. I'm sure that owl was as shocked as you were about what took place. It is such a beautiful creature! I'm glad that you are feeling better. It's tough having to do chores when you're sick. I'm glad you pushed through it all. ❤

the owl is absolutely beautiful. His big eyes are gorgeous. Love how it blinks with one eye. Thank goodness for the rehab lady taking care of the owl, getting it back to 100% feeling good.
