This is a drama that gave off movie feel for each episode. The cinematic quality and color code of the costume and surrounding and makeup really supported the character and drama itself.
The timing and sheer intensity in this video has convinced me to put myself through pain and watch whatever tragedy I just saw go across this video. Your perfect capture of the beautiful shots and the ideas in the series is just- I'm stunned. This song is already haunting as it is, but you embodied it with the majesty in the song in the close ups, fight scenes- eye meets and gestures all thrown into this video to create an ensemble of pure artistry. Thanks for making this. I'll be back when I've finished the series 😂
Their fight scenes are like a well choreographed dance. I suddenly want Guo Jinming to direct Qian Shan Cha ke's novel malicious empress and ill fated consort. He knows how to do justice to the plot and how to cast actors
manifesting for that! qian shan cha ke is one of my fave authors and i've re-read malicious empress countless of times, i don't want the live drama to ruin it. hopefully, guo jinming direct both adaptations since both novels were full of tension, schemes, and actions. the dramas better not disappoint, esp in malicious empress since it's been a long wait and still no news or update abt it. while the melon leads for ill fated consort is meh. i hope they cast actors that can truly act bc both novels really contains intense and lots of emotions to portray.

I really rec to give this show a chance for a few episodes :) it's of course personal taste but imo while it has it's flaws it became one of my fav shows due to a great combination of amazing actors & a variety of charas (you will find charas you'll like, new ones coming in throughout the show) & beautiful cinematography/costumes/fight-choreo. Story-telling might be too slow for some people, but I enjoyed the ride :)

Esther is really really good in it, unlike her usual self or most drama who is more "act cutie" n she is a real cutie by nature, so this drama really shows she can be a cool n demure assassin n have brains..all the casts are really cool n good . The director guo jing Ming drama can watch . I have finished it n it's so good :) 😊
I just finished it and I actually really liked the cinematography. It had many slo-mo's, but I liked that too hehe. As for the acting, I completely agree with you. Everyone did a great job. I only feel like the writing for the main couple could've been so much better. And of course, the ending, aaahhhhh But I really see Esther in a new light this time and I hope she does more of these roles and not just her usual childish innocence and cutie roles. She's obviously good in those but this was truly refreshing. @@lynnlynn8832

I really thought that it would have a second season with shangguan qian being pregnant and wanting revenge on dianzhu. Since they didn't show us who the two liangs were, i thought it would be yun weishan and her twin. It would have been amazing if the gong brothers together infiltrates wufeng as spies in part two. So many theories i cooked only for them to be dashed by water.
@@nusrathaque8643 Yes, I also read somewhere that the directors will not make another season cause they are angry I don't know why .But I really wish they could continue the remaining storyline. Such a great drama with perfect contumes , actors but no possibility of 2nd season
