I just completed this drama and no doubt this is my favorite historical kdrama! The queen is the real definition of women empowerment in today's era who is beautiful, kind but so witty at the same time & her confident face & each move, her love & care for all grand princes & even other princes & crown princesses & grandchildren...just wowwwww!! It deserve to be the drama of the year, she is queen of the decade & seongnam is the best actor.. everyone nailed it 🤩🔥
What I loved about this drama is the queen who was a strong independent woman who had her struggles but also her strengths and how she was a mom first then a queen second..how she protected her children and even the prince's who weren't hers but treated them like hers and gave them words of encouragement and showed them love and it's okay to cry sometimes and how her words charged those ppl who were going to cheat how she wasn't afraid to stand up to injustice and I also loved the prince's relationship with each other
You're so right and perfectly describe her way of treating people and solving problems 🔥💙 the beauty of this drama is that her love changes most of the characters, in a good way. And when the queen dowager killed off ppl to protect the king and herself, the queen save them all. And yay, we love to see more of the princes relationship with each other in here, they're not like other sageuk dramas when brothers fight for the throne 😭 and tysm for sharing your thoughts 😊💙

But their situation was very different. Their stories were different. Their wishes and desires were different. Wouldn't you call that the beauty of it? It's about the tragedy of palace life. That not just the servants but they all had to go through. But still does not fail to show the beauty of relationships and people even in that kind of environment. Idk I loved that drama no matter how much I cried watching it and still do.

The acceptance of her son, upon discovering his secret truly moved me, in a world where dog eats dog she didn't wish nothing but a period where people like her son would be accepted. I loved how independent and strong minded she stayed throughout the journey, I'm now reading the history of how south korea came to be and there were many times even the queens seized power for themselves or their families, I loved how she did not crave for that, also while acknowledging how the etiquette and Confucianism rules prevented her from protecting her deceased son in power struggle.

Moon lovers did us dirty, I still have trauma of watching sageuk from that. I had to make sure UTQU has happy ending first before watching it😅😂
