    Beautiful. I really enjoyed that podcast when that man was explaining how schizophrenics became alive again when they had a purpose, to help others....
    I find that to be so true, when I give to others in need I get a "high" and I feel genuinely happy... thank you for this video, I really got a lot from it.

    I had drug Induced psychosis @ 16yrs old (shoots, lsd, weed, binge drinking) after/during several traumas all through growing up into teens and during my 20's trying to run a household with a narcissistic fiance and children , was not healthy. After reading Viktor frankles book while copious amounts of wine and klonopin.. came rock bottom. End of one way into the next I had an awakening. I'm get so much help and understanding breaking the silence and breaking the fear
    When you had Carl Jung on another video I had to dig more. Thank you~ 🙌

    You're videos are fantastic. I'm trying to learn a bit more about psychosis as I've had people come into my work, clearly having used substances of some sort, and have been incredible loud and abussive. I figure understanding what might be going through their head will help me handle them with a bit more compassion while also making sure I can keep myself safe. Again, Great videos! and best of luck to anyone on their journey to recovery!

    I was abusing the shit out of cannabis to the point where 5,6,7,8 cones weren’t enough I kept going and going honestly you could catch me chain smoking that shit for hours, sometimes I’d forget how long I was sitting in my garage smoking, I tried quitting so many times although I knew all along I didn’t ever actually wanna stop because I always kept it around as a “just in case” I have psychosis, paranoia, it affects the way I view everything and everyone around me, I can’t focus, I’m not as intelligent, when I speak I always jumble my words/make up words even though in my head I think I’m saying something that makes sense, I had seizures because of it, sleep paralysis, horrific, twisted dreams, just before I quit I would see demons crawling around in my room, I could feel them gripping onto me, when I’d lay in bed I’d feel like bricks were being dropped onto my back and suffocating me into my sheets, i started skin picking, scratching at my skin until it bled because I couldn’t tell if I was actually itchy or not. I’m so ashamed I can’t keep eye contact, I always have my head down because I feel like people can see right through me, like they know. I did it because when I realised I could close my eyes and my imagination would become my reality when I opened them again it became my “friend”. I don’t regret it but I do because although I have had my worst times on it, I have also had the ability to reach euphorias I didn’t even know existed. But now I can’t even remember what “normal” feels like, everything feels like I’m still stuck in a fuzzy dream. Like I’m constantly waking up every second but I’m trapped in one second of timeline for God knows how long. I’ve been clean for 19 days and I honestly miss it but I am terrified of touching it again so I threw everything out, including my pipe and lighter, I want to be better but I feel like I’m going crazy without it. 99.9% of the things I say now are just for the fuck of it/make no sense because I don’t know how to keep a conversation anymore. I’m embarrassed and I want to do it again so bad. Now paranoia has become my life. I dream about smoking again, I can see it and taste it when I have sleep paralysis. I don’t know what to do, it’s now affecting my relationship and I’m scared I’m going to lose the love of my life, I just have outbreaks when I wake up, during the day and night when I just cry and cry, I feel crazy. Sometimes I feel like I need to smash my head into the wall just to feel better. I’m very religious, I’ve been practicing my faith for a while now, I just need help, I want to get through this 🙏🏽

    I had drug psychosis for 26 years.
    4 and a half years ago i quit drugs.
    I was quickly able to stop the anti psyk meds.
    However, whenever things in life go wrong all the old paranoid pathways in the brain fire right back up.
    Currently i just have to shove that crap down and ignore it but it would be great if it didnt happen.

      Hey Ima, i'm battling with this at the moment after a drug induced psychosis after mushrooms. I haven't had any issues with voices or hallucinations but my delusion is that I feel like I forgot words and things I've learned before, it's very hard for me to socialize, like at all be present in a conversation and keep it up except for replying with one word or sentence answers. I'm wondering where you're at right now in your journey and how's recovery looking for you. I find that I can't concentrate on things either and I can't really store information well right now.

    Hey mate, I had a drug induced phychosis after being spiked with mescaline, it's been 8 months since and I've been depressed since and have health anxiety with some ptsd symptoms, (intrusive thoughts) things are getting better but I get paranoid i wont get better do you have any advice for me ? Also did you return back to yourself in the end after recovery? Appreciate any advice thanks

    • @layotheleprechaun
      @layotheleprechaun  Рік тому +2

      Hey mate, I’m sorry you got spiked with mescaline. Thats an evil thing to do. I can understand the health conditions you’re going through. That experience wouldve been pretty traumatic. You’re going to want to do some trauma work and to stay active. Trauma work is best done under supervision as it can bring up some dark stuff.
      I dont like to refer to my transformation as turning back to myself because I didnt like how I was before. I love myself now. If anything I have found my true self through this transformation.
      Good luck on your recovery brother. Message anytime you need

    What do you did to overcome social anxity? I am at recovry from drug induce psychosis right now and I am so depresed and have socail anxity..thank u

    • @layotheleprechaun
      @layotheleprechaun  2 роки тому +1

      Hey, thanks for your question. With social anxiety, I follow a couple of things. First of all, I follow my breath and do a couple of different breathing exercises depending on the situation. Heres a video where I explain those breathing exercises: ua-cam.com/video/YS1_liLN65A/v-deo.html
      Secondly, it’s great to put yourself in uncomfortable positions. For example, have you seen the youtube channel yes theory? They are the best example of ‘seeking disconfort’ in a fun way. How you could do this, is by joining a community of some sort. It could be for exercise, creative writing or volunteering to help someone. There are studies to suggest that depression can come from a lack of community. We are social animals after all.
      Finally, your health comes 1st. Take a break when you need to. From spending a lot of time on your own to being with a lot of people, it can be overwhelming. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and you’ve practiced the breathing technique, be honest with whoever you’re with and explain to them how you feel. Take the time out and they’ll understand
