Great job I always enjoy watching you guys I'm 80 years old and I still enjoy my yo-yo I've always had a responsive yo-yo now I'm getting into non-responsive and loving it I've always known how to snap it but the other ones are all new to me I'll keep watching all of your tricks and keep practicing so much fun thank you for great videos
Dylan, great vid! You’re a really good teacher. You clearly have considered your audience and carefully and thoroughly show us what we need to know. You also share insights I don’t necessarily see on other channels.
Last one was cool!I used to hackeysack 30yrs ago. This remindeds me of it.If I would have had a yoyo in '86 it would have been fun.Daily on the deck skating!!!!YOU ARE GOING to hit 100k!
Snap start is my favorite, I can't seem to get the thumb start right, I just suck at it, haha. Once you learn this, mistakes and losing control doesn't suck as much anymore, because this is just satisfying to do. In fact, a lot of people are impressed by seeing someone wind a yoyo this way.
Great video Dylan, But! the bind where you throw is an easy way to break your strings, so I don't recommend doing that one, but good thing there are 5 other restarts in the video
Awesome vid on the subject! Thanks for sharing. P.S. One thing the finally made the snap start come together for me was emphasizing popping the yoyo up after mounting for the bind, but before releasing the loop from my non-throw hand. I'd been trying for days without success, then it was like magic!
I needed this video. I'm getting good at snap start but when I snapped instead of using the flat part of my thumb I would turn the yoyo slightly towards myself. Then I would use the inside of my thumb to snap. Needless to say my thumb is trashed. The inside is tender, I have a callous and the joint is sore. Was literally gonna quit snap start for a while starting today...now I don't have to!!!
love your vids Dylan. Not sure my arthritic fingers will allow some of these and impressing my friends is not the aim.. Enjoying learning after 60 years of yoyo love is.
Yo Dylan, even if I get a decent spin out of the snap, it just falls back down when I try to bind it instead of the string latching on. Am I doing something wrong? Also, love your channel, love your reviews
VisK _Grizzly MagicYoyo N12 Shark Honor. He recommends it in several videos, and I have one, and it's a solid, smooth, easy to use yoyo. Nice weight, size, shape, finish, price, everything.
I get a decent spin but i guess it doesnt have enough speed not near enough ....i like to think im a pretty strong guy...maybe then ducan pro z is not good for this ? Idk
Also, winding manually twists the string… The trapeze one is called "Engineer's Wind". Thanks, for posting vid for the "many of us who are yoyo players". I was getting tired of ignoring the fucking fidget spinner ones! ;-P
With the snap start, all my yoyo does is not spin fast enough to bind it or just fly everywhere (like you literally just give it a smack without trying to rotate it) :\
It's all about practice I think and hope (I'm just now trying to figure this out myself). I think once you can start consistently getting the yo to spin without wobbling too much or going out of control then you just keep doing that over and over, while slowly trying to increase the power of your snap over time. It's been 3 months since you posted this...have you gotten better at this?

Been loving these past couple yoyo videos. You really got me jonesing on finger and thumb grind tricks lately. Awesome tutorials man, keep'em coming!
Dylan, great vid! You’re a really good teacher. You clearly have considered your audience and carefully and thoroughly show us what we need to know. You also share insights I don’t necessarily see on other channels.
Thanks for this vid. The other vids I've seen from others aren't as easy to follow. Keep up the good work!
Nice. I agree, snap start is best. I saw you do it, so I had to learn it.
Have you got some more tips for the trapeze wind? My yoyo wants to fall off even before I get it rolling!
I learned the snap technique while watching the Rum Ham episode a couple times. Great episode and video! Guidos!
Last one was cool!I used to hackeysack 30yrs ago. This remindeds me of it.If I would have had a yoyo in '86 it would have been fun.Daily on the deck skating!!!!YOU ARE GOING to hit 100k!

Love the "trapeze" thing - it reminds me of the old days when I used to do diabolo. I'd expect something similar would work for off-string yoyos, too
Dude you're a legend 👊
this guy should be the spokes person for our community
All six ways were really awesome but I pick this first one couse it is the easiest for me actually😂😁😄
great update from your original video
Brokeasaurus thanks

lol I bruised my thumb pretty bad this last week...not from this snap start, but from just being the noob that I am haha. Turned black and all >.
I dont watch cartoons but i watch your vids while doing the snap start
Yep your a real pro bro
dylan, if you could have only one yoyo which one would it be??
love your vids Dylan. Not sure my arthritic fingers will allow some of these and impressing my friends
is not the aim.. Enjoying learning after 60 years of yoyo love is.
Thanks for this vid I subbed
Nice I know 4 of those. I need to learn the other two. The thumb start one is perfect for responsive yoyos
EmberFlaze they both work good for me. I've never tried but I'm sure any of these techniques will work with responsive.
do you play any video games if so what platform
Big improvement over the 1st 'Ways' video.
Throw's Definitive The Place for Yo-yos thanks for watching
I know you don't do offstring much, but what quick wind up do you recommend? Anyways, I'm a big fan of your work! Thanks Dylan.
John Sotelo thumbwind
Dylan Kowalski Thanks! I'll start trying it out!
Do you think you could try to do a video spin tops?
Joshua Bott yeah I don't have any right now I use to do them back in the day
Dylan Kowalski oh
Yo Dylan, even if I get a decent spin out of the snap, it just falls back down when I try to bind it instead of the string latching on. Am I doing something wrong? Also, love your channel, love your reviews
Hey Dylan you should do the Duncan echo 2
Yo, the always sunny in philidelphia shirt! Noyce.
Will this work with Curb Your Enthusiasm and Futurama?
Which is better the frozen blaze or flashy blade s
yeees. great video dawgie!!
I did this for 2 hours during a road trip to New York. I think I'm a pro now.
dylan thank you so much for this video!!
What's a good starting yoyo
VisK _Grizzly MagicYoyo N12 Shark Honor. He recommends it in several videos, and I have one, and it's a solid, smooth, easy to use yoyo. Nice weight, size, shape, finish, price, everything.
Very helpful bro

How do you start to be a UA-cam?
What about the wrap around pull starter.
What yo yo do u use

The intro to this video sounds like a cheesy infomercial lol 😂
I'm using the magic yoyo k1, my n8 axle broke months ago.

Matthew_ZaxN Try searching for "How to bind a yoyo"

Pito An easy choise is the replay pro
Oh man I can do all of them except for the thumb one and the 2 fingers one lol
The stomp one also works on short carpets
thanks for the great demo, winding sucks
On the trapeze wind my jaw dropped and I screamed like a little girl I was like wtf so fast!!
Hi
What yo-yo do you have
I tried the trapeze line on my butterfly Duncan yoyo and the string got noted around the axel. Won’t come undone and is probably ruined
I get a decent spin but i guess it doesnt have enough speed not near enough ....i like to think im a pretty strong guy...maybe then ducan pro z is not good for this ? Idk
This will fucking trend
Where the heck do you live man? Is it kite land or something? It's always so windy XD
Probably around the the hurricane alley
Bruno Barbieri Wellington

Also, winding manually twists the string… The trapeze one is called "Engineer's Wind". Thanks, for posting vid for the "many of us who are yoyo players". I was getting tired of ignoring the fucking fidget spinner ones! ;-P
haven't you made a video on this already?
Last technique also doubles as a durability test
I first learned the trapeze wind
5:37 I would call that a “pop start” like pop starting car by pushing it and dumping the clutch in gear
OMG RUM HAM! This guy's alright.
Who is trying to do this but cant do it¿
Early
Please answer! What is better n8 or n5 desperado for 1a ?
The third one is called the barrel roll
4:24 apparently this is called an “Engineers Wind”
that shirt is fucking awesome.
Is he using N8?
the 4th trick is dangerous i freakin snapped my string
I have that yoyo
I love Seinfeld and simpsons!!

I love yoyoing but my one n only prob is it sometimes hurts my finger
What’s your favorite unresponsive magic yoyo
