Everyone did such a great job! Excited for the next episode... just a shame that I can't say the church fight with Aubrey is the worst that will come...

Searching for a former friend and the book in her possession, Sunny and Kel must now try to learn from the local gang where Aubrey is; either through words, or by force...
It is currently 95 minutes until the premier as of writing this, so I may update this comment after the video to give my thoughts. -I say -*-maybe-*- as the last time I said that, I forgot about it. Best to leave this being updated to a coin flip...-
This is following the premier of the video (and partially driven by sleep deprivation). It was good; the leadup to the church was well done. From Maverick's overconfidance to Candice's gritted teeth happiness, all of the characters were again well acted. It is also a nice change to see kel and Omori actually lose fights in the real world; quite often, too. It stands in contrast to headspace, where the gang either wins handily, pull through with the skin of their teeth, or suffers defeat for a punchline (which then gets reversed, something that Sunny cannot do in the real world, much as he would want to...)
The church was rough. This is not a critique of lacking quality. Rather, it is the opposite. The excellent acting of Kel and Aubrey, along with the inherant discomfort of the situation they were in, simply made thingss too uncomfortable for me to watch with audio. From what little I heard, Aubrey's VA did a good job at portraying the anger that their character would be experiencing, with kel's VA doing likewise. The revalations that occured in the church were also given with the gravitas that was expected in the situation.
On a side note, the offical Dubspace discord were also having emotions while the scene was unfolding.
Finally, there is the graveyard and Sunny's VA. For a character with very few lines, you can definitely tell the emotions that Sunny is feeling when reading the grave of Mari, followed by the final shaken "M-mari" at the end. It shows that, while it may be obvious to those who played the game, Sunny has not gotten over Mari's death. Not by a long shot...
