Look at this video and practice a lot can get the hand of it sometimes but still when I take it to the mountain drift zone it a bit different are anywhere else it become the same thing of spinning out a lot I give up on it and when back to controller when playing assetto Corsa I can drift way better on wheel but Forza is a nightmare on wheel
With regular controller I felt like I was Drift King, I buy a g920 and ego went 🚮
Just happened to me
Literally! I just got my g920 yesterday and I plugged it all up and I was so excited to drift on it and damn I fucking sucked. All I kept doing was spinning out!
@@naoschaos4092 hehe same happened to me lol... It's hard
Same but yuh gotta get used to it
No kidding hahaha that's the truth
I would recommend auto upgrade to B/ A class or even just a lower powered drift build and adding drift tyres, it massively help me, if you think about it, you wouldn’t start first time on a 500hp drift car irl, just my opinion + thanks for the help
I wouldn’t recommend auto upgrade whatsoever, if you want to drift you’ll want to learn what parts do what to your car, tuning is 90% of what makes a good drift car. You definitely can drift a auto built car but learning how to tune is going to benefit you much more down the line.
HokiHoshi has an incredible guide covering all things tuning, very valuable and worth a watch if I say so.
not auto upgrade, also just don't dump a bunch of power in. add enough to break the tires loose in like second gear .
on a wheel stock tires are better
Yea i wouldnt auto upgrade but i like the lower horsepower car for sure tho
This guy deserves everything, I've looked at other videos and yours helped me the most! Thank you man
I'm too underrated
For people who don’t know drifting on a mountain is harder because the ground changes pitch a lot and the car weight shifts different to level ground
I was a pro with the controller and I drove with the third-person camera as well. since I bought the steering wheel, I often practice, drive, I'm getting better and better, but I noticed one thing, I drive much better in the cockpit camera than in 3rd person. I'm a very good driver in real life, and somehow in Forza I feel the car better in the cockpit camera
so much helpful, keep up the good work man !
Been a year since I’ve had my wheel and now it’s easy thank you homie cuz I pretty much learnt how to drift because of you
Nice one, looks like the spot you chose for this is better than trying to learn weaving up & down a runway. Will have a go at it and see how long it takes me.
You're welcome, glad I could help. Hopefully this helps many people 💯🔥
Starting out trying to drift was extremely hard for me, then I went into first person mode and felt like I was actually driving my vehicle and I had some improvements upon drifting. It is weird to me seeing my actual car and trying to steer it. Felt like driving an RC car in a way. Weird xD
😂😂 takes some getting used to for sure
10000000000% agree
It’s kind of not fun for me not seeing my car… learned to kill it outside far chase not near
go into settings and turn on drift cockpit if u want it to feel even smoother? you can pretty much see the momentum just from how it turns
I cant tell if your talking about real life or in the game 😂
3 hours and I can officially do a burn out lol
bruh this helped out so much. the biggest tip i can give after 3 days and not being able to learn was to use traction control to learn and take. off when you learn
Highly recommend learning with traction control on! Ur tip was a life saver thanks
Good one, helped me a lot! Keep it up! :)
Thank you this helped me especially the Tune code.
For one amazing vid and two I finally understand why I was struggling so bad with drifting "Dog Shit" tunes I was making lmao.
tysm it helped alot!
Very helpful 🔥
Day one player here who bought a wheel yesterday I’m so glad I’m not alone in the humbling experience
This games been out for half a year? Mad. Im new to drifting so this will be a fun/frustrating journey
Really helpful tbf
can you make a video for a steering wheel setting with which you can drift and also race?
Just found your channel, big ups for the info and tips ✌🏼
Welcome aboard!
The full throttle is what gets me I use to controller and you can drift with full throttle
I have issues maintaining the drift. I would enter the drift, either spin out or grip up and exit the drift.
really good video
Thanks for the guide but what is your force feedback setting?
Dude i can drift a bit becasue of this video still need to keep it steady but nice video helped me a lot
Hey, Thanks for the tips. I had a really hard time in the tuning you provided. It felt very unforgiving. Had a much easier time in the Hoonicorn.
Yeah i take drift car and cant do shit. I take some of my random favorites and drift like a beast. I really dont get it lol
great video! Also can you clutch kick in this game? i think covering this would have helped too, but nice vid overall
Yes you can!
yeah it's actually super helpful i used it a lot when i was on controller rather than e-brake drifts i used momentum and weight transfer, learning it on wheel is a whole different story though lol
@@dominickfavaloro3092 clutch super necaserry for the wheel 4 sure haha
Ohh boy you just save me! i wos doing soo mutch mistakes... THX for this video!
You're welcome!
I have an g29 what are good settings ?
Hey man I'm def improving but I can't practice drifting at such a low speed I can't maintain the drift at all do you have any suggestions for that
I think the most important thing is practice practice practice
Clutch kick entry is my prefered entry
You should only turn in on a corner entry, trying to correct will likely snap the car or give you less controllability
Depends on your settings also
@@tyskiddzyt true it happens sometimes i just meant try and focus on that and you will have buttery smooth drifts
I've got my Logitech g920 for 2 days now and I'm practicing drifts, but every time my car gets only a little bit of grip or I'm ending the drift my wheel turns the other way and just yeets me off the road
same here
Same
Yessir
Same. Still don’t get it
@@wickedeagans You need to change the settings for the Wheel, got the G923 True Force, after changing the Settings its almost identical to RL!
I'm wondering, when does Forza count 'a slide' as a drift. Practicing drifting in a circle like in this video I get half around half a circle. My car is turned sideways and my wheels are spinning through. But I don't get any drift points more often then not. Does the duration or the angle matter?
it won’t give you points for holding drifts for a long time
For all who have the same issue. I learned recently that there is a difference between a power slide and a drift. Power slide = sliding after the apex, drift = slide starts before the actual turn.
I need help with my wheel it’s the tmx thrust master and when I turn my wheel it seems to be to stiff
Idk if its just me I have your wheel settings and tuning but I literally can not drift this car im barley pressing the pedal enough to go the same speed as you but no matter what I do im spinning out as soon as the drift is started.
wasted literally an entire day trying to get it down and 0 improvement I have no idea what im doing wrong
Same
let go of gas as soon as u start turning and then press again after you counter steer
Keep trying different youtubers and different things bro and follow your intuition
I just got an thrustmaster wheel on christmas and bought fz5 For Myself as gift and i really want to learn some drifting! Any recomentations For Cars that Are easiest to learn drift?
i take the tuning that you have and i couldn't get to the spot lmao, i got some work to do
What's your wheel settings
2 months since i bought my g920 and watched this, i don't even play forza anymore, moved to assetto but now i need a handbrake 😢
everytime i try countersteer my car just turns the way im countersteering and spins out even if i'm not putting in any throttle
Means you put in too much throttle too early
Whats ur advanced controls like?
how do u make ur wheel go right back to middle when ur drifting?
Hey. I am new to this game and I want to know how to apply a tune code?
bros license plate says thank you skids but he’s the biggest skid here 💀
I can do a normal drift (donut) easily on round a bouts, but i cant seem to transition into another drift without spinning out… what am i doing?
Ill even completely give no gas in the transition and ill give it full throttle but i spin out regardless
i constantly spin out while trying to drift any tips that could help me? also, what would be the ideal settings in fh5 for drifting?
Yeah I’m having the same problem even with a low horsepower car. At this point I don’t know if it’s me or if this wheel is bad. Because when I try to drift the wheel seems to over compensate making it difficult to keep the car in a smooth drift.
@@corbinlennon8693 what wheel do you have, also i put my advanced control settings back to the default and trained a bit of gas control and somehow did a few corners whit a rwd car which i couldnt do before.
every time i try I fail and it doesn't work, his car is staying around 30 and driving around the corners but if try to turn my steering wheel to counter-steer the car just turns away the opposite direction, pls help
Idk why my steering wheel is so stiff to do the full turn any reason why? Ive already looked at the best settings and i have a thrustmaster t300 rs gt
You have to go to "devices and printers" and change the wheel settings there. In game settings arent the only thing that effects the wheel performance
I just drove past u 30mins ago om fh5
my wheel isnt turning by itself when i start the slide. i have a trustmaster tmx force feedback. can somebody help please?
Is there a switch on your wheel?
Replug the usb cable while FH5 is running.
One Tip: Never turn up your turning sensitivity it will most likely spin you out.
I turned my sensitivity all the way down, but the game wheel still turns all the way right before my wheel reaches its edge
it isn't that much of a problem though, if I switch to 900° it turns a little more accurately
might be a dumb question, but are you also using simulated stearing?
Yes
@@tyskiddzyt what does it do? Cuz im on default
I can't transition at all idk why and I'm doing what u said
How to enter tune code?
Maybe my car has too mucj power but as soon as i counter steer and accelerate it spins instantly
I've found turning the outside dead zone down on the steering helps to get full rotation of the tires without having to crank the wheel all the way for counter steering. Also lock your differential to 100% on tuning. Power shouldn't be the issue. Start with wheel settings
could you show the steering wheel settings?
I made a video for it
when i enter the tune code everything is loading very long and finds nothing...
Okay idk what it is but for some reason when i drift and try hold a line my car just does a transition even when I’m on full throttle i let off a little bit so i don’t spin out but I can’t seem to get it, is it the game or my setting or am i just not doing it right? :((
try looking at my wheel settings video and see if that helps. its helped alot of people so far
Ok but, man, every drift, sliding videos I see on FH5 it seems that the guys have no FFB in the steering, I think I know how to drift, how to do a little powerslide in exit of a corner, but my steering wheel (Thrustmaster TX) is everything except soft, I can't manage the wheel because it's stiff (I'm on console), so it's pretty frustrating that even a little powerslide can't be done properly, I see everyone around drifting, sliding, but because of wheel settings or I don't know, I can't., I have literaly more control with my controller ..
Hi, I’m not able to drift on Forza horizon 5.
The car spins almost every time I enter the drift on edges.
May you help by making a video on how to set up wheel? Thank you.
I can do that
@@tyskiddzyt Thank you:)
I have to use paddle shifters
Do you keep your advance settings stock?
Ey, thanks for the video, but the tune code doesn't seem to work. It just keeps loading indefinitely. Can you do a new code?
How to u type in those numbers and where
Where do i paste the Tune code
So I can't drive anyway and bruhhh trying to do this is rough xD Can't keep the car straight nevermind keep it sideways haha
How would you suggest going about drifting on a wheel without force feedback?
we need this vid asap
I would suggest not doing it, and if you absolutely have to then make sure to use a low degree or angle perhaps 360-540 this way you can easily counter steer. On wheels with force feed back you start the drift and let go of the wheel and it’ll automatically counter steer then you catch the wheel, when I started drifting I found it difficult to catch the wheel. I lowered my rotational degree to 540 and manually counter steered and it helped me to learn how to balance the car, I gradually went up to 720 with high sensitivity and then finally to 900 degrees with normal sensitivity and now I can almost drift anything. Took me about 2 hours of practicing to get it down. Hope this helps as it’s coming from a noob who only has 10 hours on forza horizon so if it helps me it should help you!
First person on UA-cam tells about counter. Thank You. One problem. I can’t find Your BMW. Maybe problem is in the game. Can You show how You tunning this BMW?
Yes I'll make a video on the tune itself, thanks for the feedback by the way
@@tyskiddzyt No problem. After Your tutorial finally my drfit looks Better. Thank You.
Would it be any different without force feedback?
Yes it would
Ok thanks
Sup ty

Do y'all use force feedback? Does FFB mess with drifting?
Yes
@@tyskiddzyt err.. yes to what? Using it?
Yes people use ffb.and yes it makes it feel.different if youve been drifting with ffb off
@@tyskiddzyt what's your recommendation?
Damn no matter what I do just spins out.
What are you wheel settings and advanced settings.
I have a wheel settings video
Can someone help me when i start a drift my wheel counter steers only a little bit not much as it should, in assetto corsa it works perfectly fine
Turn outside wheel dead zone down so you don't have to crank the wheel as hard to get full rotation on wheels. Only thing I've found that really helps
can you tell me your wheel settings please
I made a wheel settings video
I come to this video 11 times, its really hard to do drifting, i only can do donuts after 2 weeks practicing 😩
learn with traction control on first then turn it off once you get the hang of it
I was so good at this game (with a controller) and then i went and got myself a g923 and now im trash! :((
During your weight shifting/transition we're you clutch kicking to get/keep the rears spinning cause by ypur video you just mentioned throttle control but not much on when to use the clutch
I don't have clutch so I just let off the gas a bit and let it swing
So your not playing manual with clutch
Does anyone know if he plays in first person or third? I know sometimes you can show third person and still play in first that's why I ask.
I can play both
Bro thank you so much how can I pay you for this I use to oversteer so much but now not so much thank you bro
PayPal?
My PayPal email is tyskiddz@gmail.com
Bro has the sexiest voice I’ve ever heard no homo
Great advice could use a better script though haha
My accelerator is way to happy to drift. Soon as i press the pedels ist going from 12% to 100 real quick
Turn down its linearity
@@tyskiddzyt thanks for the reply. I have tried that..i think i need a better wheel. Suzuka 900r isnt the best haha. Thanks
for me it doesnt feel rigth i can't just drift into the corners and i oversteer what do i do wrong?
it may be your wheel settings, what wheel do you have
Who is this sim drifter? Lookin like some off brand, Shazams' lil cousins' arms or sumpin'. 😜
😂😂😂
Traction control stability control? On or off
Off
We’res the force feedback that your wheel should have
Wdym? Its there
I couldn't focus cause of your voice lol so hawt
Wtf nahhh just stop.
@@tyskiddzyt that voice got ME DRIFTINGGGGG haha im sorry im lame hahaa
@@jasminelourdes7371 how old are you? And youre not lame 🤣
@@tyskiddzyt I'm 23 lol
You got Instagram?
I keep spinnibg out howww ???
anybody help? im using the same car and tune as him but i cant seem to countersteer and i am barely pressing on the gas, the car is spinning but wont countersteer
Adjust your wheel settings, I have a video
okay, ill try this, thank you
dang, i didnt expect it to help but it did! thank you my man, stay safe
Fasho
Why doesn’t forza recognize my hand brake ughhhh
Idk
I drift really well with the controller, but car keeps spinning out on steering wheel. I feel like I’ve wasted money!! 😢
It takes time don't worry, I felt the same way too at first
@@tyskiddzyt thank you and great video, I’ve subbed 😁
Wow I can't find no one to show how to drift with a automatic so sad
are you braking also ? i cannot stop spinning out
No I don't use the foot brake very much
Is this the best beginner car to use
I'm not sure
My only issue is getting out of a drift
Just let off the and straighten out fam
I’m just struggling to hold my drifts I can start but I just lose it
Learn with traction control on first then once you can control it decently turn it off.
@@somesweatymexicanxd2398 okay thanks ☺️
