DoorDash is literally $2 / delivery and you can usually complete 2 - 3 deliveries an hour. You’re essentially paid gas money. That’s it.
Yeah people for some reason hate tipping culture then use services that pay their employees with tips. If you don’t want to tip, don’t support a service that makes employees work for tips. @Chan chan It shouldn't be because people should just be paid what they deserve for the hard work they put in but unfortunately, certain kinds of jobs pay extremely low assuming people will tip (in the US) so those people really do depend on those tips.
That’s funny because I think his mentality is poor people will mooch off of him either way he admits the rich do the exact same thing to keep their wealth
That’s more a product of US society and exploitation. The fact that so many US workers have to rely on tips shows the problem of worker exploitation, not the problem with people that don’t tip them.
As a European who is paid by the hour and not reliant on my customers tip to pay the rent at the end of the month... Americans are goddamn brainwashed.

All homeless people don’t have addictions many of them you wouldn’t even know were homeless when walking past them on the street. For the ones that suffer from an addiction how are they supposed to improve if they don’t have stable housing and continued addiction and mental health support? Healthcare and mental health support is extremely expensive in the US and the free care is subpar. Anyone can become homeless if the wrong sequence of events happened it’s not limited to drug addicts. Making assumptions that homeless people don’t want to contribute to their community and make it a better place only worsens the situation.

"other" is subjective
The video is not staged. The fact that it is not heartwarming nor inspiring shows that this is an real person and their personality.
"My mom was really the one who raised me"
Well she clearly didn't do a great job at it
a video of him blew up before and the worst part about that is that his mom went through a lot to raise him while his dad didn't give a fuck and when his dad become a millionaire he was just like "peace mom" and went to live with his dad 🥲

@@TheAlmeidamaysa what video is this?
son of a billionaire not tipping an uber driver? i’m sorry but i can just not respect that.
Lol no one is obligated to tip regardless of how much wealth you have. You tip for the service, expecting to automatically tip everyone prior to them even delivering is a joke
Nick Saxon it’s common courtesy tho…most people who don’t tip just don’t have the money to pay for the service plus more. the fact that he has the money and just doesn’t tip is very twisted.
Can’t understand tip culture as korean…
No matter how big wealth we have in korea, don’t need to give extra money for service.
Cuz we think we are already pay for that service… especially like uber service
i think he grew up in australia where we don’t tip at all (delivery drivers are paid minimum wage which is about $21 for people 21 and over)) so i get it, but i’m not at all on his side for not tipping in america. that’s just a dick move, especially his attitude.
It’s not common in some cultures, in my country I don’t usually see people doing that
I’m the granddaughter of a millionaire. Not as big, but yes. I am judged every single day because people expect me to be a brat. They expect me to be ungrateful. This video makes me so sad to see. I spend lots of my life volunteering and trying to help the people less fortunate than me. He is adding to the stereotype that rich people ARE brats. Very, very saddening. Share your wealth. It will bring you happiness.
So sorry you are judged for your wealth!!
Well, he said something true. To be wealthy you need a predatory behavior. Use people needs to get the money from them, and exploit as much resources as you can. I'm not sure which people I would have become in a situation like you. But if this comment is true, and you find no moral value in what you saw. Forget what they call you. Build a true personality based in sharing (there's multiple ways of doing this, I don't mean only charity). What matters is the path that you took, and the difference that you generated in the world. On the contrary, emptiness will eat us all from the inside, wealthy or not.
The fact that he said he doesn’t tip on Uber eats because he doesn’t like giving “away” money and they’re getting paid is utterly ridiculous. I’m glad the girl told him how Uber doesn’t pay high. Most Uber drivers don’t make enough to survive and need tips. If they made enough then they wouldn’t be Uber drivers. There’s drivers with families who are struggling economically for gods sake.
YES. I was an Uber driver for 6 months. we aren't paid minimum wage without tips :( uber does round up the money every two weeks depending on the hours, but it's still not a living wage at all
Yea. I was actually hoping she’d go into more detail, bc without those tips, Uber’s pay is worse than “not even minimum wage.” UberEats is like $4 for half an hour. DoorDash is literally $2 / delivery and you can usually complete 2 - 3 deliveries an hour. You’re essentially paid gas money. That’s it.
He prolly thinks they deserve not to be paid as much...
Exactly Uber drivers and food delivery drivers are similar to waiters, waitresses, they make the majority or a lot of their money on tips
Yeah people for some reason hate tipping culture then use services that pay their employees with tips. If you don’t want to tip, don’t support a service that makes employees work for tips. People just expect delivery drivers to pay for gas and wear and tear on their vehicles plus all their living expenses for $2.25 and then say it’s the companies fault for not paying them. It’s the companies fault, it’s the customers fault, and it’s the drivers fault if they accept the crap orders. No tip no trip, your food will sit until some poor driver thinks it’s worth accepting.
This video is a great example of the sheltered life that rich people live.
It’s interesting cause rich kids have always ever known Rischkes but quite a few like lord sugar Oprah William Defoe have fought there way up from in some cases poverty to earn there ditches soo it’s interesting to see the differences
@@gothicgolem2947 Yeah, but I think it's safe to say this who build themselves up from poverty are a rare and fortunate exception. I can say myself as a daughter of a middle-class family, though I recognise my fortune, I will never understand the depth of my immense privilege.
@@ceciliamartinelli2751 really? That’s interesting how many millionaires in the world are born into it or had to work there way up to it. And really? Why can’t you know the depths of your privilege? And it’s interesting with privelage cause it literally goes all the way from the rich all the way down like there’s gonna be some people who are quite poor but they will still have privilege over people who are starving and dying in Africa so it’s kind of interesting all tho of course the rich do have a lot more privilege than others.
@@gothicgolem2947 there's a lot packed into those question hahaha. But I think I can't understand my privilege simply because I am so used to it. I've never experienced deep poverty and therefore can't fully comprehend what it's like to be poor in the same way I'll never understand my whiteness. Interesting how the two sons of billionaires connected at the end. It just shows how we all stick with people who are similar to us.
True! Everyone’s criticism of the some of a billionaire is automatically useless because they have no clue what it’s like being the son of a billionaire. Instead they expect that person to empty their pockets to “help” the poor and for what? It’s no difference than the average joe choosing to spend $ on things they don’t absolutely need when they could give that to someone in need. At the end of the say we are all the same. This kid isn’t relatable to most but he’s just operating in what he learned to be his truth.

Honestly a lot of people are genuinely caring, but you can’t care for what you don’t understand. From this video, it’s clear this guy doesn’t understand a lot of things so we can’t blame him for not giving his money to causes he doesn’t understand.
@@valeries3829 Except no. These two things don't even compare. Most people who buy things they don't necessarily need, have very limited funds to do so. Many treat themselves because we live in a work driven culture and exhaust ourselves with work and at the end of the day we try to find moments of joy through travel and experiences or some things we love and enjoy that we can buy. But someone like him has more money than any human deserves or needs. He can buy experiences and things 10 times over and still have so much money left. So yeah, when you have money in excess like that, a decent sum of it really should be made to go towards helping others in need. No one should have that much money while so much of the world is starving, dying of treatable diseases, etc. Only thing I agree with is that people of all social classes often buy too much stuff and things they don't need, at least in the US where everyone is obsessed with showing off and having a million things they don't even care about or need. But then many people who don't make a lot often try to donate or help when they can and this guy can't even put five bucks down for a tip, come on.

Rich people pushing the idea that homeless people just want to live on the street is so sad.
Just saw that he doesn't tip because he "isn't made of money". lmao
In the first place everyone is responsible for their own life. It’s not his task to help anyone and give tips. Besides of that a lot of rich people forget to give tips because their life doesn’t revolve around money. A lot of rich people also forget to pay tho cause they just don’t think about money cause it’s always there for them. And I understand him cause as I said everyone is responsible for their own lives. I give back to the world, planet, nature and people who can’t help themselves like kids and handicapped people. Drug addicts are there because they chose to. (Mostly) I feel sorry for them but it’s not my or his or anyones task to help them.
It's not that. Everyone cares about different things. They shouldn't lie about what they truly care about. The role of the savior is not his to perform, that's what he's saying, at least for now.
That part gave me a stomach ache. He thinks homeless people aren't "people".
I grew up with very well off parents they never bought me material things and it gave me this disillusion that I could understand middle lower class individuals. Right. I agree that delivery services robs the customer with extra fees but the tips make up the majority of driver's pay.

I'm pretty sure Plato discussed this concept of how wealth has a habit of being vaporized within 3 generations (but not a law). First the generation who makes the money and does the hard work, the following generation that becomes decadent and starts blowing the estate, ending off with the generation that loses the wealth due to being completely unattached to how it was accumulated in the first place. Really sad to hear that his take away from living on the streets is that people choose to be homeless.
In my area, most of them do. They choose their mental illness and addiction over help. In my area, there is a place they get free food 3X a day, a place to sleep/shower/ do laundry, free clothes, free mental health and job services…but they usually just take the free food and clothes and choose to live outside. Because to stay at the shelter (or get these special houses they’re making for them), they have to be sober, and they don’t want the free resources that will help them to be.
We can’t deny that homelessness is becoming an increased issue with housing prices skyrocketing.
