Neighbor has the Hummer. Charging takes almost 2hrs to charge on road trips, costs $100 to charge and gets about 280 miles. Tires are gone at 20k and with that huge battery at 210kw didn't expect anything less. With that being said, hummer is double on all levels for cost compared to CT. CT is about 40 minutes to charge at $35, 280 miles average range, tires have lasted 35k so far and battery is 123kw and weighs 4k lbs less than the Bummer.
I've had a Cadillac Lyriq for almost a year, and so far, not a single OTA update. I'm a Tesla owner too. The GM dealership has updated the software once. But there are many features that I'd like to add such as don't lock the doors if I'm home! It doesn't seem like GM even listens to their customers. Yet Tesla absolutely does and sends several OTA updates per year with many based on feature requests from vehicle owners.
I have a Cyberbeast and it’s an amazing truck, but not gonna lie - the Hummer’s removeable roof and pass-through rear window makes me super jealous. That and not having a real rear-view mirror camera so you can see if that Explorer behind you is a cop or a soccer mom… Although Tesla just made the rear-view image on screen better with an over the air update so you can zoom now. That’s the huge advantage Tesla has over every other manufacturer right now - every component on the truck is controlled through the touchscreen, and while some people hate not having physical buttons, everything being connected over Etherloop and controlled centrally means tons of features can be added to the truck with just a software update.
Not needed. Before I bought my cybertruck I planned on adding one. Now that I've had it for over a month you look at the top of the 18" screen. The rear view is larger than a mirror anyway. Just getting used to look down instead of up. No big deal.
"your wifes boyfriend" 😂 That's why I subscribed to this channel years ago, not because of that first black model 3 you drove back in the days, but when I watched next video & same utter sarcasm was still there, I pulled trigger 😂❤
OTA updates are great for Tesla! For example, after only 11 months on the market, an OTA added a much requested feature that people spent an extra $20,000 on, called "Full Self Driving."
The Hummer EV has been known to brick itself when it first came out there were multiple UA-cam videos of it getting stuck in the middle of the street... And the fact that they don't give any over-the-air updates makes this truck a no-go
The 2025 models of Hummer are pretty much updated on most fronts and don't brick themselves anymore. I have one - very few software issues compared to the previous years. There is no comparison between the Cybertruck and the Hummer... Hummer is a far superior truck, but, FSD blows supercruise away. Hummer has Android Auto, Apple car play, Android Automotive, and OnStar and it's all free for the 1st 8 years. Other than the FSD vs supercruise, I'll take the Hummer any day of the week. Drive one and you'll understand why.
Haters gotta hate. Updates are about every 2 weeks. Our club only has 120 Cybertrucks, none bricked ever. Two bad motors, though but no one left stranded, they got noisy.
The hummer EV had always been my number 1 on my list, but since getting one earlier this year, I had issues keeping up with charging at home (stage 2 charger) since I travel alot. Had to sell it while the price was still good in the second hand market and now I have a CT and it's been great to driving it. If Hummer goes hybrid route, I will definitely consider swapping it back.
I think they are both fantastic vehicles. I wanted the Hummer EV over the Cybertruck and sadly dealerships being greedy made me stick with Tesla. I don’t regret it one bit, it’s a shame the dealerships mark way above MSRP though, this is what hurts the car companies to be able to sell their vehicles.
3:05 Jumper cables to help someone out ... makes no sense -- According to the manual: "Cybertruck cannot be used to jump start another vehicle. Doing so can result in damage."
Just got my 3rd month of trial FSD, just in time for full FSD from North Phoenix to Dove Mountain for a round of post Xmas golf, even pulled into supercharger stall in Eloy.
Those Magsafe phone mount can not tilt forward or back in the Z axis that cheaper mount can. If you ever use these mount ability to tilt forward or back makes all the diff.

The Cybertruck Cyberbeast and Hummer are both leasable for $1000. For the time being, the Cybertruck stands out more to me. It's cheap as hell inside. The Steering squircle feels like a cheap toy. But, in it's defense, it's the largest Tesla, if you wrap it - it looks cooler - and it has access to the Tesla supercharger network WHICH IS THE BEST NETWORK THERE IS. The HUMMERS age well. They're stuck on EVgo thanks to charging credits -and EVgo SUCKS. You can use other chargers or home charging but you pay more for it than you would with the Tesla superchargers. @ Show me the evidence that a Tesla is less reliable than any other vehicle for sale on the world market. You are just a Tesla hater and can't put together a coherent criticism.
Does the Chevy Bluecruise have a subscription fee? Yes, Chevy BlueCruise does have a subscription fee. After an initial trial period, the subscription costs $25 per month. This fee can be added to an existing OnStar plan for a reduced rate of $15 per month. The Hummer EV comes with a 3 year trial.
I own a Lyriq, and so far I like it fine, but the lack of OTA updates is a killer. My R1T feels fresh from the constant updates. GM is just not committed to EV software. While the Lyriq drives fine, I probably would not get another GM EV until they change their update strategy.
They're basically giving those Hummers away via cheap leases. The Sierra is just as good, if not better and doesn't look as ridiculous as the Hummer. You should do a comparison between the Model Y/3 and the Hyundai Ioniq 5N.
Junk is still junk. Overpriced extremely expensive junk is still junk. The phrase "putting lipstick on a pig" has come to mind, I don't really know why.
They put a KICKER sound system in the place MOST LIKELY to get hit in an accident. BRILLIANT! For what they charged for that option, you could probably get a dual 12" KICKER L7 box and an amplifier.
If I needed an EV truck right now: I'd be torn between the Chevy Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV. But if limited to these two: I'd probably choose the Cybertruck simply because of the access to the superchargers. My thing is: I'd LEASE. I would never "buy" one of these things.

I’ve thought about another electric vehicle with a different make, but Tesla’s networking, and all that charging stuff is better than anybody else.

Meanwhile, the Tesla engineers were thinking about steer by wire, 48 volt architecture, giga casting, stainless steel etc.

Blue Cruise is Ford’s driver assistance system. It isn't utilized by Chevrolet/GMC.
You’re right, hopefully he meant super cruise, as that’s gm’s version

Trying to understand why the GMC Sierra, EV, Chevy Silverado EV and Hummer EV don't have hard plastic tonneau covers.
That’s an easy choice, had one gm product back in the 90’s, never again.
And they've gone way downhill since then.
