The Hummer EV has been known to brick itself when it first came out there were multiple UA-cam videos of it getting stuck in the middle of the street... And the fact that they don't give any over-the-air updates makes this truck a no-go
I've had a Cadillac Lyriq for almost a year, and so far, not a single OTA update. I'm a Tesla owner too. The GM dealership has updated the software once. But there are many features that I'd like to add such as don't lock the doors if I'm home! It doesn't seem like GM even listens to their customers. Yet Tesla absolutely does and sends several OTA updates per year with many based on feature requests from vehicle owners.
"your wifes boyfriend" 😂 That's why I subscribed to this channel years ago, not because of that first black model 3 you drove back in the days, but when I watched next video & same utter sarcasm was still there, I pulled trigger 😂❤
The hummer EV had always been my number 1 on my list, but since getting one earlier this year, I had issues keeping up with charging at home (stage 2 charger) since I travel alot. Had to sell it while the price was still good in the second hand market and now I have a CT and it's been great to driving it. If Hummer goes hybrid route, I will definitely consider swapping it back.
I think they are both fantastic vehicles. I wanted the Hummer EV over the Cybertruck and sadly dealerships being greedy made me stick with Tesla. I don’t regret it one bit, it’s a shame the dealerships mark way above MSRP though, this is what hurts the car companies to be able to sell their vehicles.
Just got my 3rd month of trial FSD, just in time for full FSD from North Phoenix to Dove Mountain for a round of post Xmas golf, even pulled into supercharger stall in Eloy.
Does the Chevy Bluecruise have a subscription fee? Yes, Chevy BlueCruise does have a subscription fee. After an initial trial period, the subscription costs $25 per month. This fee can be added to an existing OnStar plan for a reduced rate of $15 per month. The Hummer EV comes with a 3 year trial.
Driving 10k+ lbs around "for fun" is just plain silly. Its completely impractical for anything but a wealthy person who has a huge ego or is an attention seeker. It might make a good 2nd vehicle for weekend use or light offroading for somebody with more money than brains or a collector but even then its kind of a "douche mobile" IMO. Its WASTEFUL and the opposite of what an EV represents... to maximize efficiency while having good utilitarian capabilities.
You are a true Viking with your beard. Hahah. And you are spot on with the charging network that Tesla have. We have a Tesla model Y and it’s a little weird right now because of Elon‘s dedication to the other party, and all the negativity in our state towards him, people are getting their Teslas vandalized and hatred towards them. I’ve thought about another electric vehicle with a different make, but Tesla’s networking, and all that charging stuff is better than anybody else.
Absolute banger of a video! Thank you for your real and honest impressions of living with all the cars you review. These trucks are so dumb but awesome for no reason at all 😂
Cybertruck is so long that difficult to park in the garage, or apartments, so many sharp corners edges that really un-safe, on towing gasoline vehicles are better in term of pulling.
Interesting take. I'm going to eventually get an EV pickup or SUV to replace my 2018 Model X (I bought it from Tesla used with all the good options including FSD for chump change). The CT is simply weird ugly so it's a no go. The Hummer is like you say just over the top cool but ... I'm not sure I want to endorse GM's BIG battery, low efficiency strategy. The vehicle I'd love to buy right now, but won't be available until 2027 (if ever) is the Scout Terra or Traveler. As much as I like Rivian as a company, until they can build a reasonably priced good quality product at scale for a profit, I'm not interested.
@@dbcooper6592 It begins it ends with aesthetics. I see Cybertrucks driving around and they look like the ugliest pieces of shit I’ve ever seen. Refrigerators on wheels. I drive a Model Y. Looks are not great but acceptable.
I'm shopping for one of these. I'm not impressed by the Chevy truck or hummer software. I do think the hummer is more functional. The FSD I just can't get passed, but I have two teslas. They need to license to Chevy so I won't by their product. Hmmm And that's why they won't.
Your wife boyfriend got me on the edge😂

Over the air updates? That's a bs Tesla thing because they ripped you off in the first place
The Cybertruck is still bricking itself. Now the batteries are denting inwards, by themselves.
@@dereklaverne7608so your phone manufacturer also ripped you off right because they are always giving over the are updates with new features also....
Blue Cruise is Ford’s driver assistance system. It isn't utilized by Chevrolet/GMC.
You’re right, hopefully he meant super cruise, as that’s gm’s version
The hummer is the worst.
An expensive Chevy Silverado ev,

That right there is my main concern in considering the Silverado EV RST. The software. Once Chevy/GM gives up on EVs, then what?
Yea Tesla is very in tune with their customers requests which is awesome

hahaha you have been here for a while! I appreciate it
At this point I think Gjeebs is trolling us by calling it Bluecruise instead of Supercruise.
There is no contest between the two-Cybertruck all the way. But it's good to have competition.
“Pittsburgh Left” got me 😂😂

Let me know what I owe you
12:21 Hummer has “Blue Cruise”? You have done one to many reviews and need a break 😮
I can already see you getting a hummer eventually ...
😊
Life is short. I don't have the time to waste it takes to charge a Hummer. Cybertruck all day and twice on Sunday.
Most fun UA-cam channel !
Thank you!
200kwh battery !!! What would that replacement cost be. $50k? But I agree it’s a pretty cool vehicle….
Got it. You like it loosey goosey. You like it shaky. You like it back door (used.)
Good to know how you like it.
Now you need to compare the both of them to the Silverado EV RST
They should've called it the avalanche Ev
Supercruise has a subscription fee. They usually charge for the first 3 years as part of the package and after that it goes to a monthly subscription.

Dove Mountain is sweet!
CyberTruck looks small next to Hummer.
Twuck.
Great video! Btw, super cruise instead of blue cruise, right?
Correct
How did you know my wife has a boyfriend? Wait a minute... YOU ARE THE BOYFRIEND AREN'T YOU?
I'm sorry
GreggerTruck is one thing that I like 👍 😂
😆 Correct video title!
Love to see a long term review of the Hummer……..

You sound fun
Gjeeb " i would take hummer over cybertruck"
You keep saying that the Hummer has blue cruise but blue cruise is Ford.... Super cruise is Chevy
Not surprised you’d pick the hummer. I like teslas and I own one but the cars are really boring. They have the best boring cars.
Gjeebs Ford has Blue-cruise...
Realistically how many of each of these vehicles will be sold, too expensive for most people,
CT RWD is co n ing in 2025 @60k. The Dual motor for 80k is not that bad for this type of truck.
@@Teddy_M85Few will pay $60k for a 2wd truck with a less than 200 mile range and only 7500 lb towing. A $30 Colorado beats it.
@TroySavary 😬
Gjeebs bringing the hits !! But obviously hummer ev is trash and equally the opposite of sustainability 😂😂😂
Nothing sustainable about it but very fun

The hummer is so much cooler and more special. Still wouldn’t buy it with a black check. Cybertruck is ass.
GM= going out of business

cyber truck cannot charge faster than the hummer take them both to a 350-kw charger and find out
Hummer has a 205 KW pack vs 123KW, new V4 supercharger will charge a Cybertruck at 500 KW.

The hummer is 1,000,000 times cooler than the driving refrigerator.
Lol, nice.
Idk about US but in MX the hummer ev is double the price of the cybertruck!
I don’t have to watch the video to know that the Cybertruck is worse than the Hummer. Keep in mind I wouldn’t be caught dead in either one.
