LITERALLY what I am dealing with right now! For a year now my breathing has benn terrible. Being an asthmatic all my life i KNEW it was not asthma attacks. I get the pain in my left upper shoulder. When i palpate the muscles around my chest i can catch my breath and when i massage around my diaphram. Who can i see to fix this? It is horrible

Wonderful teaching videos, thank you. So clinical question I am not getting. Significantly elevated right hemi-diaphragm recent onset in the presence of dysphagia distant onset in an ANCA vasculitis patient. Not right vagus nerve dysfunction/paralysis but phrenic nerve or both. No worries, lots of health care on board. I'm just not clear of where the lesion(s) located. Can you comment?

    Hey Dr!
At 6:42 you said that there is a number of things you can do to see if someone has an injury on the diaphragm that is causing referred pain. What options are there?
Thanks so much for the videos! Highly appreciated :)

What is more likely to happen? A not working diaphragm that asks for respiration-help from the Scalenes, Or the diaphragm is not working because of (irritated) the Scalenes? Just asking since I have TOS and my accessory respiration muscles are taking over - but the cause is hard to find (chicken-egg story)

Hi Sam, I watched your video on the phrenic nerve and it was very well described.
I am not looking for medical advise but I am looking for the name of the specialist who
Deals with the paralysis of the phrenic nerve and if you can recommend any one in the field that is any good.

Thank you sooo much for sharing this information. I now understand the myriad of pain/referred pain I have in my neck shoulders, arms. Glad I have had alternative medicine and taken herbs for some time now; I hope they have helped slow down the damages that could have resulted further by not attending to the pain in these areas, and "not just working on pain management", as the *only solution* as recommended by my physicians.

Had whiplash and chiro injuring since I get burning deep at the back of head that goes into the back of mouth like I’m going to breathe fire down the front of my neck chest and stomach. I also get this pain left side of neck and what feels like my shoulder girdle in the front is being ripped off yet if I press anywhere I cannot find where it’s coming from. Is it possible the burning is coming from c3? And the phrenic nerve? My stomach muscle midline right does not stop getting very tight
