This home is perfect and beautiful ,a dream place to live and grow up .I was raised in a very very small town and We ran around in the woods and built forts and had a ball. I'm 60 and back then U stayed outside and came home for supper lol That's the best for your children ,I think so anyway. I would never want to raise children in a big city.

Just remember you lived in an RV with your 3 girls and made it fantastic, resolving every storage issue with a great solution. So this cute little farm house will be no problem. x
Love this! We just bought a 100 year old home almost a year ago and it also has tiny rooms. I said the same thing “it won’t matter it will be great because we have other extras” oh my gosh we are now moving because the no closets and the small rooms are HARD! So I am praying it goes smoother for you guys! You have a nice big yard which we don’t so the room to grow outside will be amazing

Great ideas! I would however consider doing a garden as well as the chickens in zone 1 which would be in the area closest to your home. Closer access to home Farm chores is vital especially in the winter months

Very nice however 🛑 RADON test needs to be done in the cellar, its very common for old houses and cellars to have it. So, be safe and get it tested. So, happy for you all and I with the girls about the attic, it is neat to have!
The house is perfect, if you are ready to purchase then go for it now if you can. I can just picture your own stamp on this..Surprisingly the downstairs doesn’t look that bad but I can imagine how you can flip this space to make it work..excited to go along on this new adventure with you!!

I've never watched your channel before but was drawn in to watch because of the thumbnail. It looks like many of the farming properties in the area of Virginia where I live. One comment on the plastic panels on the porch. They aren't attractive, for sure, but maybe live there a bit & see if it's very windy on that side. It may help break the wind but, you said you were a gardener. It may be a great place to act as a cold frame or kind of greenhouse. Just a thought. 😊 I love old farmhouses & look forward to seeing what you do. 👍

How wonderful for ur family....there is nothing like raising ur children in the country. Like u said ur girls were rolling down the hill....kids being kids. Being in the country allows them to explore creation so much more and enjoy watching and helping witb the big garden u will plant. Country life teaches children so many important life skills. It also helps them appreciate how much hard work goes into caring for livestock, maintaining the property as joy of running through the creek, having bonfires and so much more.

My daughter and son in bought a 1792 farmhouse she was born in 1992. They did the laundry room storage for clothes one long rack for clothes with a shelf above. She has bins underneath for socks and underwear. She does have a dresser for some off season storage. She says she would never go back it is so easy.

The portion of the “living y room” that a closet is being put is is actually the dining room. That is a very popular way old farmhouses we’re set up. That closet could be made into like a hutch/ pantry. It will be beautiful however you do it. You definitely have a talent for making a house into a beautiful home.
