That is a great looking truck! I have a ZR2 Blazer that I have some plans for in the future. I'm waiting till the 4.3 craps out (if it ever does) then I'm going to try and find a 350 vortec for it. I'm definitely putting a SFA on it too. I really like the height and stance of your truck, its about what I'm aiming for. Cool video too by the way!
i never really liked s10's for small 4x4s but after i took a ride in a friends zr2 it was better than i expected, Only real Thing i didn't like about it was they made this safty shit so when u start to pull someone out it likes to shut down because of stress. so you would have to jerk people out more than try to pull them. there great trail trucks his was a 4" sus with 2" body on 33's. i like your rig set up
@wtl1964 well the zr2 has a wider stance than the regular s10 4x4, fully boxed in frame, flares, and some other stuff. you can google it and find alot of info on the differences
I absolutely love that truck....my dad hates it because he says the s10s are hard to work on because of how tight that are...but I'll still probably but one for my first car
I gotta red 2000 with american racing wheels, modified air cleaner, relocated IAT sensor, flowmaster 40 series and it is FAST! i can pass people like nothing on the freeway
Well the original driveshaft was for the IFS the truck came with, which is a slip yoke rigid shaft. When I did the solid front axle swap I needed a longer CV driveshaft with the slip yoke eliminator with the slip in the drive shaft. So the original shaft didn't break, but thanks! The commercial was just for fun!
@iamkylekyle1 Had the 6" superlift and 2" body on it which fit 35s but took the superlift off and did a SFA with a dana 44 running 37s. If you are not planning in putting a locker in the front and running 35s the superlift will be fine but if you want to lock it up I would SFA it. Industry lifts are expensive, if you have the knowledge and tools I would just go for the swap.
Are you sure yall weren't in 4hi pulling someone out bc thats the only time the truck would boog out. When I have it in 4lo I have no trouble. Thanks too!
@kyhillbillys10 lets just hope I dont need to use it soon or Ill be driving with a lean...I am about to get a full size spare, but I havent figured out where to mount it. I like having the truck bed and I dont want it on the roof, soooo I need to figure out something else.
The Chevy s10 and GMC Sonoma are the exact same thing other than emblems and front grille. They come with the same engine/drivetrain and parts which are interchangeable between the two. So you can find either, the ZR2 package only started in 1994 and ended when the S10 ended.
Lmao nahh their shit trucks burned down as they were trying to start them... that or they're just jealous they have seat issues making the air bags crap
I will support chevy all the way but when someone takes that truck and puts those kinds of parts on it like the new axle and drive shaft it makes me mad
nice man lol looks like you had some fun with it, as a fanatic of the s10 myself i understand the pride that goes with it hahaha did you do the work yourself?
nice video man, but i need a question answered, im 17 and im looking to buy a truck, now im very limited as to price wise. but besides that point, whitch one is better and witch one do you suggest i get chev s10 or gmc sonoma? and what year? any answer from anyone would be great.
What size lift kit is this on this Chevy S10I have a 2001 I would like to put a lift kit on what is the height of this one what kit is it please comment back it's A extended cab step side Would like to go higher with it like the height of this Truck
Martin Neps I actually have an 01 s10 4.3 as well, I put a 2.5 inch lift on 31x10x15s! I believe stock is 3 inch lift, but your options are either 2 or 6 from what I could find online, and a 6 inch lift on a s10 would look ridiculous lmao
@@Johnnnny420 Did you do a body lift 2 or just suspension is best suspension please comment backI like the height of your truck I have the same exact one I just want to be up a little bit higher
I Have Vigors well this one had a SFA swap done to it so is hard to say but a normal 6" suspension kit is $2500 and a 2" body lift is $200. That's not installed prices too. In the video the truck is 8" suspension 2" body and 37" tires.
Hell yeah... I have a 94 I used to drive then passed it down to my bro... sadly he was in an accident with a light post and bent the whole front but that was it... original motor still goin strong at like 230k miles and the only thing we ended up replacing was the front and one side panel and lights and what not but that was it then painted it and pretty much still goin
I Have Vigors. Hey uh I have that motor and its a pretty Damn good motor they have been using them for over 20 years no problem and all I had to do was change the oil and get a tune up and its got 143,000 miles and runs like new so you can't tell me that that's not a good motor
@paintballforlife06 they have a tendency to get cracks around the IFS in front but I went 160k miles and didnt have any. With the new setup, the front end weight is better dispersed.
Love those old ZR2 models
Excellent S10 !!!!!
i want one sooo bad! my dad has a s10 not a zr2, just a regular s10 v6 4.3l and it is the most fun truck to drive!

BRING BACK S10!!!!!!
Sweet truck man
Like a rock - was such an iconic Chevy sales campaign back in the day ❤
Very nice truck!
Idgaf what anyone says the zr2’s were and always will be bad ass 🤘🏻
@wtl1964 well the zr2 has a wider stance than the regular s10 4x4, fully boxed in frame, flares, and some other stuff. you can google it and find alot of info on the differences
Like a rock. Hard to get along with.
i wonder have many they would have sold if the zr2 came like that lol it would have been a nice option!
Mike4paintball idk, there are a lot of numb nuts out there that like driving shit like this.
I absolutely love that truck....my dad hates it because he says the s10s are hard to work on because of how tight that are...but I'll still probably but one for my first car
They are hard to work on
Cool vid. In the end I was VERY disappointed with my blazers though, and that was after putting a lot of money into them. They are NOT built tough.
Damn I wish I had a truck like that
Where are you located? I might be selling it this year

LOVE IT, greatest commercial ive ever seen
Nice ass truck right there
I'd like to do this with a square body S-10 or blazer, and put ZR2 stickers on it, I think it would be cool
you just got owned...
Lol at the song used it was in a Jeep commercial and now you used it for a chevy commercial you made. Its a good song though
Agreed with doom Raider 100%

Damn, those tires makes the truck really wide. Must be a bitch parking that thing at parking lots.
Its all about the lift.
Dee Jay the only lift that isn't lame is a fine old bitch getting a face lift.
Well, I will once my dad's done with his.
@PacMan3256 37s Pitbull Rockers, and I did a SFA and a custom built 4link lift.
Too bad dodge already used the song lol
Nice work n nice truck
Owned 3 of these trucks, great truck
Thats pretty good lol
i really like your truck man! do you have a build thread on s10forum or zr2usa? id like to build the same setup or close to it thanks man
Are you sure yall weren't in 4hi pulling someone out bc thats the only time the truck would boog out. When I have it in 4lo I have no trouble. Thanks too!
mount it on the tail gate with a blaze tire rack
Chevy S10 for life!!
What did you do to this truck to get this high? Please come in back would love to know thank you for this video
My friend had a 2004 S10. He put in a new engine and radio and everything.
If only that was stock.
Too bad the S-10 never came with a solid front axle. It might have actually been somewhat tough if it had.
@kyhillbillys10 lets just hope I dont need to use it soon or Ill be driving with a lean...I am about to get a full size spare, but I havent figured out where to mount it. I like having the truck bed and I dont want it on the roof, soooo I need to figure out something else.

Nice! Love the Johnny Cash song thumbing the nose to Jeep. lol
thumbs up if you drive a ZR2=)!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it still under warantee? Mine has a shifting problem, stuck in first gear.
I just bought a 2000 ZR2 that same color.
nice man lol looks like you had some fun with it, as a fanatic of the s10 myself i understand the pride that goes with it hahaha
did you do the work yourself?
@kpercival27
you cant just put big tires under shit
you need to lift it first
I want to know where you got the suspension also
so whats the diff between the zr2 and the regular s10
got me sold on one now thanks loves that truck perfect stance

where did you get parts for the solid axle swap im about to do it

Awesome commercial man!!' that was badass, btw may I ask what tires and lift kit that Is
@Mondo8205 can u do this with a 98 s-10?
How much lift is on it, and what size tires are on it?
Still such a beautiful truck
How many inches is that lift?
did u raise it or just get bigger tires
@sl1ck213 thumbs up if you better'd a ZR!
Bring back the s10!!! These Colorado’s are a joke!!! S10 out lasted both my Colorado’s and still has the cab corners😂😂
Those are some unique ideas, ill have to see what i can do pretty soon.
How much of a lift do you have on that and how big are the tires? How much did it cost to lift it and put those tires on?
Probably at least 3 grand if the shop does it. $500 lift kit $500 install $2000 rims & 33 or 35" tires.

2500 for a lift kit? You're getting ripped off. On Amazon right now you can get a Rough Country 6" lift for 1000 bucks

We're did u find a truck like this
@paintballforlife06 they have a tendency to get cracks around the IFS in front but I went 160k miles and didnt have any. With the new setup, the front end weight is better dispersed.
gonna have to dislike the 35's on it I can hear (and see) your front wheel wells getting torn up.
